Dolby Laboratories and Activision today announced a partnership designed to bring realistic surround sound experiences to gamers worldwide, by ensuring Activision's audio production facilities in North America are optimized for Dolby technologies. Activision worked closely with Dolby last year to optimize Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound while developing its best-selling Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox 360. Today, many of Activision's games for the PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 feature Dolby Digital 5.1.
