Chapter One

The Way of the Ninja

Run your way forward through the stream and up the steps on the stones. Hop over the gaps and then a dart will fly into the wall. Read it and it will give a short tutorial on what to do next. Run up the wall in front of you and grab the edge. Shimmy over to the right and climb up. Climb up the face of the cliff there and run up the tree and go over to the left. When you do, two brown ninja's will drop down to attack. Take them out and then continue the way you were going. Wall run over the first gap and jump across the second as you grab the tree branch. Swing over to the other side and enter the cave. Read the dart and do a Flying Bird Flip to the ledge above. Head down the hallway and take out the three more brown ninjas that appear. Smash the urns and bounce jump your way up the alcove to the opening above.

When you run through the courtyard, two ninjas will enter. Take them out and head up the stairs to enter the fortress. Go up the stairs to the first door and enter. Take out the three ninja in here and grab the elixir from the chest. Go through the next door and you will enter a yellow room with a few more enemies. They will drop from the ceiling and attack. Kill them and then go through the door that unlocks. You will enter a hallway that has a samurai suit to the left. Go check it out and you will see it is missing something from the face. Grab the elixirs from the desk and head back down the hall the other way. There will be some ninja's waiting there around the corner. Deal with them and enter the next room for another showdown. When they are all dead, grab the Lives of a Thousand Gods from the chest and use it to increase your life bar. On the side of the room, there is a tapestry that you can slash.

Do so and go through the hole in the wall. When you enter here, more ninja's in brown and white will attack. Run up the stairs to the area there and fall through the trap door that opens in the floor. Drop down and follow the passage to a chest. Kick it open and take the Fangs of the Samurai. Kill the bats and smash through the torch stands to get back outside. Climb up the rocks and then the board on the right and follow the walkway around. Take out the ninja's there and enter the room to find a chest with a Talisman of Rebirth and a hole in the floor. Drop down the hole and go back down the hallway to the Samurai suit you passed earlier. When you enter the Fangs in the suit, his hand will open to give you the Key of Courage. Head back down the hall again and enter the room where you found the hole in the wall. Go through and up the stairs and around the trap door to another tapestry on the wall. Slash it and go through to find a staircase. There is a floating dragon head here to save your game at.

Do so and head up the stairs. Make your way along the walkway and you will come to two white ninja's. Kill them and run to the end. When you reach the large doors, use the Key of Courage and the doors will unlock. When you enter, the far door will lock and 4 white ninja's will appear. Take them out and then go through the door at the far end that unlocks. If you like, head back to the save point and save again incase you get your ass handed to you in the next room. When you enter, you will be in a showdown with a big fellow with nunchucks. There is an elixir at the far end of the room if you need it as well. To defeat this guy you definitely need to do a lot of wall jump and air attacks. He will deflect all of your shurikens and will give you some heavy damage if you stay in front of him too long. When you have him down to 1/4 to 1/2 life, he will stop and a scene will begin to end the chapter.

Chapter Two

The Hayabusa Ninja Village

Before you leave, walk up to Murai and talk to him. He will teach you how to use your Ultimate techniques in fighting. When you learn the two slashing ones talk to him again to learn to roll. After you have learned that, make your way back out, down the walkway, through the ninja fortress and back across the tree and down to the water. Run along the ground and go through the open doors there and come to the altar. Use it and you will receive the Art of Fire Wheels. Hop in the lift and go down to the cavern below. Run to the end and wall across the chest on the other side. Grab the Elixir of the Devil Way and take out the few enemies that appear. Continue down the path and head to the left. When you drop of the edge and start to slide down the ramp, jump and grab the branches sticking out and swing across two more and land on the ground. If you miss, drop in the water and climb out on the left side. Take out the enemies here that appear and climb up the ladder to the watch tower to get a map of the village. Hop back down and continue to a broken bridge. Jump across and up the other side to the save point there. Use it and grab the elixir from the chest. Head up the stairs and enter the village.

When you enter, you will be attacked by 4 or 5 enemies. Take them out and then look around. Beside the gate on the right will be three statues and one with its head missing. There will also be a ramp leading up to a shack with a large stone in it. It says it has a crack that can be widened with a blunt object. To the left of the gate entrance, you can walk around the building and find a body that has an elixir for you. Move through the village and you will come to another body. Grab the statue head that is just beyond it and return it to the statue for a Life of the Gods. Head back down to the body and climb to the roof on the left just before you reach it. Climb up again to go through the window and enter the building. Drop down to the floor and you will find a body and a statue of Muramasa to buy weapons and items.

Buy what you want and then grab the bow off the ground by the door. When you have it, go out the door and square off against some more enemies. There will be two magic users that teleport in and out to attack as well as a swarm of sword carriers. Take them all out and then continue around the corner and follow the path through around the building and it will collapse behind you. A scene will play and two samurai on horses will enter. These guys can be a pain in the ass at times. Equip your bow and take aim on the riders. Knock them off the horse one at time and then hack them up when they come over to you. When one dies another will jump in to the area. There will be four in total. If your aim with the bow isn't too great you can try and jump up and slice them off the horse.

I found the bow a lot easier but just a bit to get used to in first person mode. After all four are taken out, the fire will go out and you can hop over it to a save point.

Grab the great elixir from the body there and go through the archway to walk across the wooden walkway. When you get halfway across, it will collapse behind you and a large Samurai on a horse will appear. This is another pain in the ass fight depending on how you handle it. All I did was go to the far end and run up the wall and jump off it and attack. There are always two enemy magic users that teleport and throw balls of energy at you so going after them is pointless. When you jump off the wall and attack, you will kill them eventually and also you will get life or Ki for it. The large Samurai will also come close to your attacks and get hit as well. Just keep jumping off the wall and attacking and you will continue to kill the two enemies for health and you will also continue to hit the boss. Finally when he is dead, grab the Counter Attack technique from the center of the walk way and go through the door at the end to end the chapter.

Chapter Three

Skies of Vengeance

Make your way out of the cabin and walk across the hall to grab an elixir. Exit back to the main hall and continue to the next room on the left. Enter and grab the airship map out of the chest. When you go to leave the room, two enemies will crash through the window. Take them out and make your way back in to the hallway. Head all the way to the end and you will get attacked by 4 more enemies. Take them all out and you will receive the Wing Key as it appears in the center of the floor. Go through the door there and you will enter the Main Deck. There will be a door on the left side and a door on the right side at the far end of the room. The left side has the Galley and just a chest with a life of the god's in it.

The right side will lead to an office and the Crew's Quarters and then the Captains Quarters. Go through there and you will be attacked in the Crew's Quarters. After you take out the guards in here, go through the next door and enter the hallway. You can unlock the large set of doors there and you can enter the Captain's Quarter's on the left side. Grab the Golden Scarab and the Map of Tairon in there and make your way into the elevator. Go down a floor and walk through the room until you come to another elevator. Go down again and you will need to face a few enemies here. When the original ones are done a guard with a shield will come down the elevator. Take him out and grab the ID card when he is dead. Use the ID card to go into the door beside the elevator with the red light and grab a Life of the Gods from the chest there.

Go back up the elevator and go through the door on the left with the red light. Kill the two guards there and continue to the end of the hall. Save and go through the next door to get outside. Enter the Middle Cabin and there will be a crank at the far end of the room to lower the far wall down. As you crank it down, some enemies will come in through the windows. Take them out and continue to crank the door all the way down. When it is all the way down, some enemies will appear on the other side. Shoot them with the bow and grab some arrows from the box there if you need them. When they are dead, jump and grab the cable and shimmy over to the other side.

Run to the far side and around the corner will be another enemy. To make short work of him, just kick him off the side of the ledge. Around the next corner at the far end will be a chest with an elixir. Grab it and then look at the glass on this side. It seems to be taped up. Slash it and hop through. When you are in the electrical room, smash three equipment there until you get a message saying that all the doors are now unlocked. Head back out and across the wire again to the save point. Go through the next door and take the elevator back up to the Captain's Quarters. From there exit back into the hallway and go through the door at the far end of the hall. Go up the stairs and take out the two guards there.

There will be a few more up behind where you enter, so run up the right side of the wall there to get to them. Take them out and continue along the walkway to a chest. Grab the great elixir and keep going across the platform right to left until you reach the other side and three more guards. After they are done, hop on the box at the right and run up the wall to Bird Flip to the next ledge above you. Again take out the enemies here and go to the ladder at the far end. If you climb up, the hatch at the top will be locked so bounce jump your way up to the opening halfway up and go down the hallway there to the switch. Pull it and the hatch will unlock. Go up the ladder for the boss showdown.

This guy can be a major pain in the ass, but with some healing elixirs and a ninpo spell or two you should be able to take him down even without an upgrade o your sword. The boss is a giant cyborg, part man and part machine. He has a huge cannon for an arm and he likes to use it. If you stay away from him then he will fire it at you, if you get close to him then he will try to smash you with it. The easiest way I found to defeat him and it really wasn't all that easy, was to run away from his shots and then when he recharges, run up to him and slash through him. When he turns to attack, roll away and then run up to him and slash him again. Repeat this back and forth, slashing rolling, slashing rolling until you either get hit or he decides to shoot you. Like I said, make sure you have a ninpo or two to help you out. It will take awhile to whittle down his health this way but it works. When you take him down, a scene starts and the chapter ends.

Chapter Four

Imperial City Infiltration

Hop over the half wall to the road below and some guard will attack. Taker them out and continue down the road. When you reach the bottom a dart will shoot into the wall with a message for you. Find the neon sign which will indicate the bar you want to locate for information. Make your way through the courtyard past the large statue which has a place to put tablets on one side and go through the large wooden gate. When you enter the military gate, go to the far end at the fence and some guards will attack. Take them out and then the gate to the left of the area with an orange dot will now be open. Go through and take out some more enemies there. Now you will have a choice of going straight or left. Go straight and pick up the Top of the Stone Tablet that will be around the corner.

If you also like, you can open the gate here to get back to the serpent courtyard and go back to the start to save. When you are ready, go down the left alley way after the gate with the orange dot and you will eventually come to the top of a set of stairs. There will be two enemies on either side of the area shooting at you, so pull out your bow and take them out. When they are dead, jump up to the blue ledge on the right side above the stairs and shimmy over to the platform where the first enemy was. Jump up and grab the wire and shimmy over to the second area. Grab the Life of a Thousand Gods from the chest and use it. A few more guards will appear where you were so take them out and make your way back over to the stairs and go down.

When you reach the bottom, there will be a door on the left with a marking of a Lily that you won't be able to open yet. Continue around the corner and go through the next large gate with two yellow dots on it. Now you will be in the Clock Tower Plaza. You can go right or straight here. Go straight and go around the corner to the right to find a body. Take his nunchuku and ignore the door there with three red dots on it. Go back around the corner and there will be the door of an eye. It will tell you that you must find a way to open it. Across the street from that door will be a small opening leading up some stairs you can go up. Follow the stairs up and take out the enemies on the stairs. When you reach the top platform some more black ninja's drop down and lay a hurtin on you. Take them out and grab the Devil orb from the chest to increase your Ki. Make your way back down and go to the right and follow it to the end of the street.

There you will come to a store and a door with green dots on it. Pull the lever and some baddies will show up for a fight. Take them out and go through the gate. A message will arrive and tell you that the black ninjas are from the Black Spider Clan and they run the town. To the left will be a water trough that has a golden scarab in it sparkling. Grab it and move forward and up the small steps on the left. Go around the corner and some black ninja's will attack. Kill them and then bounce jump your way up the wall in the small alcove there. When you reach the top, run across the wall to the other side and continue to follow the ledge around to a body and another golden scarab. Go around the corner and again over another gap to reach a chest with a great devil elixir and a lever. Pull the lever to open the eyedoor underneath you. Drop down and go through to reach Pleasure Street. Run to as far as you can and a scene will play when you reach Han's Bar. The bouncer will ask if you have a ticket but since you don't you can't enter. Go around the corner to the save point and save there.

When you went around the corner you passed a poster on the wall. Read it and it will tell you that Muramasa is giving tickets away in his store with a purchase. Well now you know where to get a ticket. Leave the poster and a message dart will strike across the street. Read it and it will tell you there is a secret weapon hidden somewhere. Well thankfully it isn't to far away. Directly across the street from the bouncer is an alley way. On the walls are blue stripes. Wall run across the first then jump over to the next and then to the next as you continue to wall run and then at the last jump, attack for an extra lift and you will land on a ledge. Grab the Windmill Shuriken and the statue of the Xbox logo will heal you fully. Hop down and head back to Muramasa's shop for a ticket to the bar. Buy anything you want in the store and when you are done he will hand you the ticket. Go back through the eye door to get back to Han's Bar and more black ninja's will appear. Take them out and when you reach the bar a long scene will play to end the chapter.

Chapter 5

The City of Fiends

As soon as the chapter starts a message dart will drop a letter to tell you to check out the Dworku District across the drawbridge. Grab the Lily Key from the chest, and hop over the edge of the building. When you land on the ledge, grab the elixir out of the chest and head inside and down the stairs. Kill all the enemies you run into until you finally reach the bottom floor. Run past the Ninja Gaiden arcade machine and grab the map of Dworku off the bar as well as a devil way elixir. Head out the large doors and you will be in a face off with a few enemies. Kill them and then save the game. Make your way back to the alley way where the Lily Door was and use the key to get through. When you enter there will be some guards there waiting for you. Take them out and continue to the end.

You will reach a dead end so turn around and you will get a dart message about continuous wall running. I tried so long to get up onto the damn ledge by wall running continuously, but eventually all I did was wall run along the one wall until I reached the railing and then pressed Y to jump attack and hopped over it. Easy enough right? Continue down the stairs and when you reach Moat Road three more black ninja's appear. Take them out and head right. Enter the door way at the end and continue past the Pegasus Door until you come outside again. Save at the save point. Head up the stairs and when you reach the top some more guards will attack. Take them out and look around. You will see the drawbridge and a door with a blue circle. Go through there and follow the pathway up to the guards waiting for you. Kill them and along the side of the alley will be a chest that holds the Pegasus Key.

Grab it and across from it will be another platform that you can stand on to get a golden scarab. Wall run along the wall to the right and you will reach the ledge on the left to get it. When you have it, drop down and go to the Moat Road again. Fight the three black ninja's again and make your way to the Pegasus Door. Open it and pull the lever inside to lower the bridge. Make your way back to the save point and save. Pull the lever there to open the door with the red circles and it will let you go back to the Clock Tower area and Muramasa's store if you need to. If not, maker your way up the stairs and across the drawbridge. You can close it behind you if you like with a lever on the wall there. Head down the walkway and start up drawbridge hill. When you come to the top, 3 ninja's will jump out to attack. Kill them and save at the dragon and golden scarab. Continue along until you reach the Monastery.

When you do, the gate will close behind you and some guards will show up. Take them out and head down the alley way to the left when they are dead. When you get to the alley on the left, 4 black ninja's will appear. Take them out however you like and continue around the corner to find three more ninja's. These guys are a super pain in the ass especially since there is no save point or store nearby to get more health. There is a chest down the alley on the left however that does contain a Greater elixir. After you get past all these ninja's, you will come to the monastery courtyard. Walk up to the gate and the ground will rumble. Kill two or three of the guards that appear and then a scene will play. Kill the three large fiends that show up to continue.

The easiest way I found was to use the same technique as the Samurai horse boss. Run up the wall and then attack off the wall by coming down on their heads. Keep repeating it over and over and over and eventually all three fiends will go down. Don't stop moving because they hurt you plenty when they get a hold of you. Once all three are dead, it's time for the boss. After another scene, a large tentacle boss shows up. He will have two arms flailing about that you can hack off to immobilize him for the time being. Stand under the arms and jump and keep hacking until they are gone. It will either flair it's tentacles about which you will need to step back from, or it with lash them out and sweep the area with them which you can just jump over. When both are gone, it will stay in one spot for you to chop it up. Use heavy attacks and combos on it until its tentacles come back. Repeat this about three times and he will finally die for good.

Chapter Six

The Monastery

Grab the Life of the Gods and the elixir from the chests and then head your way up the stairs. When you reach the top, a group of bats will appear and attack. Kill them and continue along to the other side. Drop through the hole and there will be a store at the bottom. Use it if you like and then head outside. When you get out there, open the chest for a Devil way elixir and some creatures will attack. They have huge claws and rise from the ground. Attack them as they appear and a few more will show up after the first batch are dead. Grab the map from the dead body there and continue to the save point. There is a large gate at the top of the stairs that will lead you back to the inner Monastery yard and across form that is the entrance to the Monastery itself. Enter it and head up the ramp on either side. When you get to the far end, some more creatures will appear as well as some flying ones. Take them all out and grab the elixirs from the two chests. Read the altar at the far end and it would seem as though you need to place something there. There is a narrow door that you passed on the way to the altar on the right. Go through it and through the small room to enter a library of sorts.

When you enter, a gate up top will close and the door behind you will lock. Kill the enemies in here to have them reverse. There are five blue books through out the library that you can grab to read about the Vigoor and the emperor. Go through to the glass case with the globe in the center and smash each case to grab the goods inside. There you will find the incendiary Shuriken, the right piece of the stone tablet, a golden scarab and an elixir. When you have them all, go around the walkway to where the last blue book was and do a Flying Bird jump up to the next level. Grab the golden scarab there and walk around till you reach the broken wall. Throw an incendiary shuriken at it and it will blow apart. Enter through and take out the creatures here. When they are dead go through the door and you will be above the floor of the monastery. There is a door along the ledge you are on that you will exit through but first there are a few places to go. There are ledges on each side of the room. One has a golden scarab and one has a chest with elixir. There are also two narrow ledges that have chests at the other end of them. One is a great devil way and one is a great elixir.

When you have them all, then you can go through the door at the top to the Monks Room. When you enter, grab the Raptor, Deity of sentiment from the desk and read the book there. It will tell you that a date was 12, 27 and the last notes say left, right, right, left. Walk over to the safe on the wall and there will be a combination lock on it. The combination is 2712 but you need to move the lock left, right, right and left to get the numbers right to open it. When it does open, you will receive the Book of Eons and the door at the far end will lock as the room fills with enemies. Kill them and then go out the door as it unlocks. Hop off the edge and land on the monastery floor below. Use the Book of Eons on the altar and it will reveal an opening to get underground. When you hit the ground, some bats will fly over to say hello. Kill them and then pop open the chest in the corner. Save at the stone and grab some incendiary shurikens if you need them. Go through the gate there a notice the giant head behind you. Use a shuriken on the broken wall and it will shatter. When you go through the face will start to roll after you. For the first three pits stay on the right side of the tunnel and wall run past the spikes, for the rest stay on the left side. After the first 5 or so pits there are three pillars that crumble. Run under them and continue along the tunnel.

Like I said, stay to the left and wall run past the pits here. When you get past the pillars there are 4 more pits that you need to get over. When you do, you will continue down the tunnel and need to jump at the end to reach a rope overhead. Swing from rope to rope but take your time now since the rock is gone. When you land on the other side, save your game. Now there will be a path way that leads down and around the large cavern you are in. Hop over the gaps in it and follow it all the way down to the first platform where there will be two gates and an altar. Kill all the enemies there that appear and then open the gate that will take you to a room full of strange flying creatures. They have stingers that they poke you with when they get close so try to use distance attacks before they see you. When you enter the cavern fully, make your way to the bottom where there is a three section plate on the floor. You can bounce jump your way up to an alcove and grab a golden scarab there. Follow the stairs down and you will come to another save point. Save and keep going down the walkway until you reach the bottom. There will be some more clawed creatures here waiting for you.

Take them out and head through the doorway. Follow it to the end and drop down the ladder to another passageway. Head to the end and you will find a chest that contains the Vigoorian Flail. Equip it if you like since you will be up against a few foes here. Exit out into the large room and there will be a button in the center of the floor. Jump up and slam your sword down into it to press it. When the floor goes down some more clawed creatures will appear. Take them out and you will eventually reach the bottom. When the lift stops, go through the door there and you will enter the Ritual Room. Take out the Brain Bees in here and since there are LOTS of them, use the flail. When they are all toast, a scene will play and you are surrounded by a few not so nice looking fellows. Take out these skeletons first with your sword to hack off their heads with the flying swallow technique. After their heads are gone they just attack wildly and not you in particular. When you take out some, more will appear.

Slash off their heads as well and continue until they are all dead. When they are, grab the Holy Grail from the altar and go through the door. More skeletons will appear but just run past them. Get back onto the lift and slam the button in the center down to make it rise. When it reaches the top, go down the tunnel and back up the ladder to reach the bottom room you were in before. There will be more skeletons in here, but all you really have to worry about are the archers. Slash off their heads and run up the slope to start for the top. Along the way you will run into three more skeletons. Do the same to them. If you kill one of these skeletons and then fall off the edge, when you get back up here all three will be back, so take great care that you do not fall off. Get past the three archers and head into the room where the brain bee's first were. Kill the bats and make your way up to the top and out the opening.

When you run out to the platform here where the two gates and the altar is, place the Holy Grail on the altar to start the boss fight. The skeleton Dragon that you ran past earlier is now come to life. To defeat him all you need to do is attack all four of its legs. You can get in close and hack it if you like, but his attacks are mean and will hurt you lots. Stay back a bit and use your whirlwind shuriken on his legs. If you are back far enough, the only attack he will use is his tail, which you can easily jump over and he will shoot bone shards at you off his back. Block the shards and shoot your shuriken at his legs. Take them out one at time and use any ninpo if you have it. He isn't difficult to beat and when all four legs have been destroyed, he will fall to the ground and smash the plate that was there.

Chapter 7

Hidden Underground

Grab the Life of a Thousand Gods of the floor and make your way down to the very bottom. Hop down into the hole and go through the door with the marking on it. When you enter the passage way here, there will be 4 archers in the hallway. I choose to run past them with a flying swallow attack on each for the hell of it. When you get around the corner, there is a store there to upgrade and buy elixirs at. When you are done, go through the small opening to the narrow hallway and follow it around to a room with a life of the Gods and a save point. Use it and go into the suspension bridge room. On each side there is a golden scarab and a chest. Grab the goods and then head across the bridge. When you get about halfway, a scene plays and some skeletons appear. They cut the bridge and down you go. When you hit the ground, start to kill the skeletons and clawed creatures down here.

There are more than a few so keep it up until no more appear. There will also be two blocks on each wall. One is red and one is blue. Enter the blue one and take out the archer that is in front of you. After he is killed, there are two more at the far end shooting at you. Grab some arrows from the dead body and go down the stairs. Go to the far end and shoot each skeleton with a few arrows to kill each. Grab the scarab under the ledge and then head back to the other end. Grab the great elixir before heading up the stairs again. Fill up on arrows again and look at the red light to the right of the stairs. Shoot it with an arrow and a blue walkway appears across the area. Run across it and avoid the maces. The walkway will disappear in time so go quickly. Jump across the first gap and wall run across the second. When you reach the other side, press the blue stone to unlock half of the door in the other room. Drop down and go back out into the main room. Enter the room with the red stone on the door and watch out for the archers to the left.

Head down the stairs or just jump off the edge and run to the far end. Again, take out the two archers there and then take out the third on the walkway. Grab the chest before going back up the stairs. When you are back up the stairs, you need to get across the walkway with out getting hit by the swinging mace or the spikes on the path. When the mace passes you, jump over the spikes. That's the easiest way to not get hit. The easiest way with getting hit is to just run through the spikes and avoid the maces since they know you off the path. The last mace is lower than the rest so make sure you try and roll past it. When you reach the red jewel press it and jump back down to the ground. Run to the end and up the stairs and pop the chest before leaving the room. Go back out in to the main room and go through the now unlocked door at the far end.

When you enter a short scene will play and you will be face to face with the tentacle monster that you had to face previously. I'm not sure why, but I had a killer time trying to defeat this guy this time around. He has the same attacks and such but was a pain in the ass to kill, not too mention if he kills you then you need to do the blue room and red room all over again. Use any ninpo magic you have on him when you have his arms hacked off and use your most powerful attacks after that. When you finally take off all of his life, a Life of a Thousand Gods will appear in the center of the room and a scene will show you some blocks moving outside. Leave the room and go to where the blocks came out. Bounce jump your way all the way to the top. Grab the Jewel of the Demon Deal from the throne that you didn't quite reach earlier. When you have it, go through the room to the right and save at the dragon head. Head down the slope and there will be two archers at the bottom. Block and roll to the bottom and take them out.

There will be a few more skeletons in here so it's your choice if you want to defeat them or not. Grab the ninpo scroll off the dead ninja in there and you will get The Art of the Ice Storm. Head down the next ramp and kill some bats as you enter the Chamber of Everlasting Sleep. There is a crypt at the far end that rises when you get near it. Tricky bastard. Go up the steps and to the right of the entrance and there is a button to step on there. When you press it the crypt lowers. You then have a few seconds until the crypt rises again. Wall run along the left wall and you will land on a platform that will lower you to the crypt. Grab the wolf, Deity of Wisdom statue and the skull key and go through the door with the skull on it. When you kill the bats, there will be a scene of water rushing into the underground passages and you get swept away. After the scene, look around and you will see a metal elevator cage and a tunnel. Swim down through the tunnel and follow it to the end. Save at the statue and look at the platform. It seems it is for an elevator because of the hole in the ceiling but there isn't one there. Go back out to the main area and look for the golden scarab on the floor. Grab it and head for the metal elevator cage.

One the doors and go in and it will start to rise. When you get off it, you will be back in the Monks Room where the safe was. Three black ninjas will appear to fight you but you are tougher now and they aren't. Kill them and then read the journal on the table. It seems the monk is pissed someone stole his book and has changed the combination of the safe to his daughters birthday. Also notes, right, left, right, left. Walk away and then read the book again and there will be another entry that the birthday is 14th day and the 10th month. Head over to the safe and enter 1410 for the combination. Open the safe and you will receive a Life of the Gods for your troubles. Before you head through the door hop back in the elevator and go back to the save point. When you return the ninja's won't appear so don't worry about them. Head through the door when you return and you will be back atop the monastery floor.

If you like you can drop down and walk to the altar for a boss show down, or you can go through the other door on the other side to hit the archive and face a crap load of brain bees. When you drop down and approach the altar a short scene will play and you will be introduced to Alma. The super pain in the ass Alma. This is one tough nut to crack and unless you have at least "some" elixirs this battle will be near impossible until you learn her attacks and time them perfectly. She does heavy damage and she does it quickly, so the first few rounds you are going to get to know her attacks. The main attack she has is from a distance she will toss 5 pink balls at you. These are easy to dodge just by running in one direction. Another is she will toss stone pillars at you. This is known because her hands will light up green. When she does, run from the first pillar and then jump to avoid the second. The other attack she has from a distance is to charge you. That too is easily avoided.

When you are in close to her she has a kick attack and a super "throw you around and slap you" attack. The super attack is easy to see coming because everything around you lights up pink, the kick attack comes when she yells out. Now that you know her attacks, the hard part is actually hitting her. At times she will slowly walk around the area like she does when the battle starts. When she does this immediately go to attack her and use the flying swallow attack to bring her down. If you hit her with it, which is about 50/50 you will, she will drop to her knees and give you enough time to do a heavy combo on her. When you have hit her and she is stunned, do the Blade of Nirrti attack which is XYXXXX and it will throw her in the air and slice her up real good. Repeat that attack 3 more times at the most and she will be finished. A lot of this battle is dodging the stuff she tosses at you and getting out of the way of her super attacks until she starts walking around. When she does, then you attack. After you have finally given her the last swipe, she goes down and a scene starts

Chapter 8

Tairon under Alert

Read the message that arrives on the wall and it will tell you that the city is under alert and that you are surrounded. Save at the save dragon in the corner. Head back inside the monastery and you will see how it is totally destroyed. If you were watching during the scene you saw that Rachel's hammer was dropped. Head to the left section in the center of the area to find it and pick it up. Head back out of the monastery and go up the stairs and out the gate. When you arrive here, some troops will attack you with guns. About 5 or 6 in total will appear from the far corner. Take them out and the gate will lower to allow up the stairs and continue on your way to the drawbridge where you need to go.

When you get to the end of the first street, save at the dragon and continue down Drawbridge Hill to the bridge itself. Pull the lever to lower the bridge and you will see a few soldiers and two armored vehicles on the other side. They look just like the G.I. Joe APC don't they? Take out the rocket launcher soldier as the rest of the gang that appear. When they are dead, head through the door with the blue circle and continue to the three troops waiting for you there. Block and roll when a rocket comes at you. Take them out and there will be a breakable wall behind them. Either use the hammer or a incendiary shuriken to blow it up. Go through and pop open the chest there. Continue along and open the small gate to let yourself back out into the alley way.

Go right and up the stairs to the left to fight a few more troops. When they are no more, use the skull key on the fenced door with the skull and grab the golden scarab and chest. Shop at the store if you like and then go to the corner of the area. There will be two platforms tat you can jump up to. Wall run and flying Bird jump to the first and then jump off there against the wall and run up and jump backwards onto the one above it. There will be an opening to enter the building there. Enter and take the Strongbow off the wall while you leave yours in its place. Head back out and when you are on the platform, look to the left and you will see a golden scarab there. Jump to the wall and wall run to the left to land on the platform and grab it. Make your way down to the street and go left out of the fenced area and through the large door with the orange circle. Now the fun begins. There are two large guns on either side of the gate at the far side. Run to the gate and grab the arrows off the body there. When the guns stop firing at you, aim at them with the bow and take out the troops operating them.

When both are done a helicopter will fly into the area. You don't need to defeat the helicopter, just run away. Keep running and jumping and don't stop. When it hits you, it will continue to hit you. After a little bit the helicopter will fly off on its own. When it leaves there is still one more person to kill. There is a rocket launcher troop up in the window where you grabbed the strong bow. Zoom in on the window and shoot the rocket if it comes towards you and then shoot the trooper in it. When he is dead, the orange door will unlock and you can go back through. Do so and kill the three troops in the alley. Go back through the skull door and up into the building where you got the strong bow. Look out the window and fire an arrow at the control room above the gate. One shot will break the glass and another is to hit the large button on the wall. When you hit it, the gate below will open for you. Make your way back down and through the gate.

Chapter 9

The Military Supply Base

Make your way to the save point and then all the way to the end of the tunnel and through the small metal door. Inside will be a few troops to deal with that are no problem. Continue to the end of the tunnel and when you exit, there will be a golden scarab directly to the left. Grab it and you will see an APC and two gun turrets in front of a fence. Use your arrows to take out the turrets and the turret on top of the APC. When they are gone, rush the personnel coming out of the APC and wipe them all out. Grab the warehouse key off the ground and walk over to the box beside the door. Grab some explosive arrows from there and then enter the warehouse. When you enter, you will notice it is quiet. Too quiet.

There are some switches you can try and push on the right side of the area but they do nothing as there is no power. Head to the left side and pop open the chest below the stairs. Head up the stairs and when you start along the catwalk some small helicopter bots come out. They aren't all that tough and your shuriken can knock them out but there are lots. They attack with a laser that is easy enough to jump over as well. When they are all gone head to the end of the catwalk and grab some APFSDS Core arrows. Continue up the stairs and follow the catwalk to the end. There will be a yellow power switch here that turns on the lights and the music apparently. It also operates one of the two moving platforms. The second one that you need to go and turn on is down on the bottom ground level. Turn it on as well so that both platforms are moving.

Go back up to where you got the core arrows and step over to the platform when it moves to you. Jump off it at the train car and from that train car over to the next one. Jump from there to the next moving platform and then over to the other catwalk. Open the chest there and follow it up the stairs to the control room to get the key card. When you are in the control room grab the map of the military base as well. Make your way back down to the first floor and go to the red switch to use the card to open the shutter doors. When you go out to the turntable there will be a few more troops that attack. There is also a door open that has a save point inside. If you want, save and then kill the troops and then save again for the big showdown. When all in clear in the turntable and the door light turns green go through and you will be squaring off against a tank.

The tanks aren't all that tough after a few tries but at first can be pretty intimidating. There are three things to watch out for on the tank. One is the tank itself as it will run you over if you get to close, and the other two are the guns. There is a machine gun on the top that you can take out the operator with an explosive arrow anywhere near him and the main cannon which is a bugger to dodge. When the battle starts, immediately use an explosive arrow on the tank so the gunner drops down. When he is down, load off a few core arrows into the tank. They do a lot of damage to the tank so it doesn't take all that many. After a bit, the gunner will pop back up to operate the machine gun again. If the tank isn't dead yet by the time he pops up again, hit him with another explosive arrow and continue to hit the tank. After the first tank goes down then another will appear. Repeat the same tactics for this tank as well and be sure to fill up your arrows at the boxes when necessary.

After they are both destroyed, head over to the elevator tower and grab the great elixir out of the chest beside it. Head up to the top floor and when you step of the elevator save at the dragon. Now comes the fun part. At the end of the platform atop the stairs will be two rocket launcher troops. Run down there and take them out and then the helicopter from earlier on shows up. Do defeat him you need to nail it with arrows pretty much like you did the tank but to me the chopper was a lot easier. It only has two main attacks and they are machine gun and missiles. The missiles you can jump away from and the machine gun can be blocked. When the machine gun does fire, block it and then start firing arrows at it when it stops. The best time to nail it is when it is far away and just sitting in one spot for while. You can usually hit it about 4 times in a row to get it some good damage. When it starts to fire missiles at you, wait until they come in close and then jump to the side. They won't hit you and you'll have a chance to shoot back. Finally when you have down it out of the sky, continue across the bridge and down the stairs to the store there.

Upgrade if needed and buy some elixirs as well as talk to the old man. When you went to the store, around the corner on the wall was an alcove that you could fit in and bounce jump your way to the top. Do so and when you reach it grab the golden scarab there. Go in the door and when you come back outside there will be a few troopers here and a radio tower directly across from you. What the objective here to do is, you need to destroy all nine dishes on the radio tower to destroy it completely. The trick is though, when you have killed all of the troopers around you, then a lot more appear on the tower and they have rocket launchers. The best way to handle this (since trying to shoot out the dishes with rockets flying at you sucks) is to kill all the troopers around you except for the last one. Leave him alive and then start to take out the dishes.

When you are in fps mode with the bow, the trooper won't disrupt your aim at all when he shoots you and the damage is minimal. When all nine dishes are toast, kill the last soldier. If you wait around, there will be a message dart that comes and tells you to escape through the train yard at the turn table. Make your way through the door to the right of the one you entered from and follow the catwalk along. There will be some of those little helicopters again, so take them out and then wall run along the side and enter the door at the far end. Take out the three rocket launcher troops in here and look to see if you get a key. I didn't the first time and had to come back and fight them again to get it. Continue through the next door and down the elevator to the control room. Go down the stairs and kill the three troopers there. Enter the control room and pull the lever to turn the train and start a movie. Although it seems it's the end of the chapter it isn't.

After the movie, make your way through the gate door and make a left towards the end. There is a sewer cover there that three fiends jump out of. Take them out and then hop down there yourself to end the chapter.

Chapter 10

The Aqua Duct

Now that you are down in the sewers, kill the bats that appear and save your game at the dragon. When you are ready, go through the door and some more of those flaming blue head fiends will appear. They are just like the previous clawed creatures so attack them the same way. After they are all taken care of, go in the next door and follow the stairs down. You will run into some more creatures here so kill them and go out the door at the bottom. When you are out in the tunnel again, search the ninja's body on the ground and you will get the map of the aqua ducts. Head to the left and you will come to a small stair well on the right. Go down and hop of the edge to come to another area of the aqua duct.

Run straight forward to the large carved door and there will be a save point beside it. Enter into the room and there will be a large statue in the center. Hop on the platform n the left side of the room and jump to grab the railing. Shimmy over to the opening and pull up. Open the chest and grab the insect key out of it. Make your way back out and to the right up the ramp. If you go left, there is an elevator that will take you down to a room with a swarm of Green monsters that hump you to death. Before you go up the slope, there is a room on the right that has a dead ninja. Read the Taro diary he has and then around the corner you will see a statue of the earth spirit on a pedestal. Leave here and go up the ramp to the room at the top. Kill the fiends in here and then bounce jump your way to the top in between the walls. When you reach the top there will be a pedestal for a curved shaped object and some goodies in the chests. Hop back down when you have everything and then go back up the small stairs to where you entered this area.

Wall run along the two walls and jump back up onto the ledge you jumped down from earlier. Now that you are back up near the dead ninja, go right to the metal door at the end of the hall. When you enter there will be some more fiends to kill. Do so and make your way to the far end of the passage. At one end will be an insect door that you can now open but the other will just be a plain metal door. Go through and up the stairs and you will come to Muramasa's shop and a blue water reservoir. It will have a blue pedestal much like the earlier red one with the curved indent. Buy what you want and get the healing in the chest and head back to the insect door. When you go through the door into the next room, there will be a huge worm that pops out to say hello. As long as you stay out of the water and to the right or left of the room, then this worm is pretty easy to deal with. His toughest attack is when you stand in the center of the room and he grabs you in his mouth and slams you around.

Stay to the left or right and watch for his lash attack and his lightning ball attack. It does some heavy damage if it hits. After you finally knock it down for good, go through the tunnel and grab the Art of Inazuma scroll of the ground. Continue to follow the passage way and you will come to the Hall of Balance once more but this time high above it. Pop open the chests and grab the red tablet of the stream and a health replenishing as well as a golden scarab on the other side. Drop down to the bottom floor and head through the large doors to get back out into the golden hallways. Go to the right and up the slope to the Red Water Reservoir. Bounce jump up to the top and make your way over to the red pedestal. Use the tablet on it and it will show you some water rush into the statue. After the scene more clawed creatures appear around you. Kill them all and look through the grate below you. That's where you are going to go now. Head down to the ground and out the door. Go down the slope and up the stairs to get back up a level.

Now that you are in the same passage way as the dead ninja, head left and go through the door there that was previously blocked. Grab the water statue inside and then make your way back down to the slope. Go in the room to the right at the bottom of the slope and use the statue on the pedestal there. When the door unlocks go on through. You will probably want to save before going through however. Drop down the hole and follow the passage to the first tunnel on the right that branches off. When you go through into the room there, two of those giant worms will pop out and attack. They are just like the ones you already faced but now there are two. Use the same technique and keep an eye on the other one when you are attacking one at a time. When they are both dead, head into the two small tunnel rooms to get a chest and a golden scarab. Go through the passage and follow it to a large room with stone like steps that lead up.

When you get near the top of them, some clawed creatures will attack. Take them out and continue up the next set of stones until you come to a large wooden door. Go through and you will be in another large room. Follow it around and you will come to some brain bees and a chest. Open it for the Blue Tablet. Make your way back through the wooden door and down the stone steps and through the next passage way. Search the dead ninja there for some incendiary shurikens. Go through the next passage and there will be a cracked wall that you can blow up. Do so and go through and you will be back at the start where you dropped down the hole. Go to it and bounce jump your way up to the top and maker your way to the Blue Water Reservoir to use the Blue Tablet. When you get there, buy some elixirs if you need them and then use the tablet in the pedestal.

The water will drain from in front of you and will reveal a room there. Drop down and grab the scarab and some clawed creatures will come in from the next room. Take them out and follow the passage to the Hall of Balance. Drop down to the ground and the large door at the one end will now be open. Go through and you will come to a room full of clawed creatures. At the far end of the room will be a statue and a button in front of it. Bounce jump up the walls on each side of the button and then fall down on top of tit to press it. When you do the door on the wall will open. Go through there and you will enter another room with a few more clawed creatures. Kill them all and then you can look around. There will be a sword depression in the center of the room as well as a large door that is locked. Enter the small room on the side and grab the arrows from the body there and the golden scarab. Now you need to wall run up the broken stairs there and jump onto the wall, run to the next one and then the next one and jump off to land on the platform above you.

When you go through the door up there, shoot the switch across from you and it will lower a stone slab that you need to wall run along to reach the other side. Do so and go into the room with the switch and head up the stairs. Go around the room to the far side and jump from the end of the ledge to the tree branch that is there. Swing from the branch over to the ledge with the sword. Grab it and the golden scarab in the corner. Drop down to the floor now and you may want to head back to the save point since the boss is next. Now you need to put the sword in the marking in the center of the floor. When you do, the boss shows up and he is no little fellow. He is actually pretty easy however. All you really need to do is do the flying swallow to him back and forth from one side of him to the other. Don't stand in front of him because he will bite you and it does heavy damage.

If you stay to the sides, he really only tries to stomp on you but since you are flying back and forth it never usually hits you. You will also notice that you don't do a lot of damage to him. This makes the battle longer, but no more difficult. When he runs to the other side of the room, follow him and watch the laser beam type thing he fires. Just hop over it and continue to attack him. After you give him a few swipes he will make a little gesture and hang his head to the floor. Start whacking his head as much as you can since they are free shots. Continue to hit him going from side to side and follow him when he run and eventually you will bring him down. He is definitely one of the easiest bosses so far thankfully. Once in a while he will jump up on a platform on the side of the room, when he does that just hide under it so he can't hurt you. When he finally falls, the scene starts to end the chapter.
