Chapter 11
The Path to Zarkhan
Save at the dragon head and pop the two chests open here to get your goods including the area map. Take a look in the water below and there will be two fish swimming around in there. Use your bow to take them out and then hop in. Swim to the right and go through the hole in the fence to find a golden scarab and a golden medallion. Go back through the hole and swim through the pipe in the wall to get to the next area. Halfway through the pipe will be a wide area. On the ground will be a ninja with a note about a combination lock and says the code is 0971 but it was too dark to see. Continue along the pipe and you will come out to an open area with more fish and helicopter bots. There is a square opening on the other side to swim through.
Do so and you will come to the combination lock but won't be able to see it in the dark so continue to the right through the tunnel and you will come out to another area with a dead ninja on the ground. Look at him and he will have a set of Owl Eyes which will allow you to see the lock. Go to it and put in the code but hurry up since you r air will still be running out. When it opens, swim through and hop up on the ledge when you get to the next room. Grab the spear gun and buy whatever you like at the store. Hop back in the water when you are done and swim through the round hole. When you reach outside, swim through the broken gate into another tunnel. Follow it inside and get up on the ledge to find a save point. There is a tunnel passage here that leads to a room full of brain bees, but you don't need to go down there yet. Hop in the water and go through the round hole and continue along to the next area. There will be a door here that is locked and you can't get through.
Go through the square hole and you will come out to an area with a few fish swimming around. Kill them and then grab the golden scarab off the go around and swim through the hole in the metal bars to reach the sunken ship. When you go through, the scene shows you a winch and a hole in the boat. Climb on the boat and shoot the helicopter bots to stop them from annoying you. Jump back in the water and go through the hole in the boat to grab a crank from a chest there. When you have it, go back up to the winch and use it to open a door in the boat. Go back through the hole and up the now open door to find a scarab and a set of oxygen tanks. Head back out and go through the hole in the gate again to where you entered. Before you leave through the tunnel you entered from, go through the opening to the right of the exit and follow the passage around the winding passage to find a life of the gods and a chest at the very end with the silver medallion.
When you have it, head through the tunnel you entered the area from and go back to the save point. Enter the doorway and follow the tunnel to the room full of brain bees. Kill them all and then use the two medallions on the slots on the wall. When you do, a scene will play and show you the door that was locked previously gets blown apart. Make your way out and to that door. When you go through you will be outside in an area with some fish and a few more helicopter bots. Take everyone out and swim down through the fissure in the ground. When you go through you will be back in a familiar place with the corpse of the giant skeleton dragon below you. Look for the opening in the wall that you can swim downwards through and continue to follow it. It will come to a left and right split, so head to the right and you will come to the room where you received the skull key with the dog statues.
Swim through the door there and follow the tunnel to the large room at the end where the elevator was that you took up to the monk's room to get to Alma. Kill the few fish in here and then swim through the tunnel to where the save point is and save. When you are ready, hop on the elevator beside the save point and get ready for the boss fight. A scene will play and Doku will appear. He really isn't all that tough to defeat and to make things easier, all you need to do is run up the wall and jump attack him. Keep repeating that like you did for the red dragon fiends and the Samurai on the horse and he will do down with no problems. Doku has a few attacks that he tries to nail you with but as long as you keep moving and running up the wall, he will barely hit you. After you kill him, his body will float away and the chapter ends.
Chapter 12
The Caverns
After the battle with Doku, pick up his sword from the ground. Don't equip it yet since it slowly eats away at your life. Head into the small room across from where you originally entered and pull the lever on the wall there. Grab the golden scarab beside the doorway and head out to the platform on the left. Pull the lever and then head to the platform on across from it. Pull the lever above this second platform and then wall run to the next platform. From there wall run along two walls to reach the next platform. Pull the lever there and then continue across to grab the chest above the doorway. Hop to the next platform and pull the lever there and after the platform moves, return to the lever you pulled just before it. When it moves, hop down to the ground and go over to the platform on the left where you first went.
Wall run off it to the next platform. Jump up and grab the golden scarab and then come back down to the platform where you jumped up from. Now you are going to male a 3 wall, wall run to get to the platform high above you. Turn and face the wall that you had just ran along and do the three wall run and land on the platform. Hop over to the stairs in the structure and grab all the goodies up here. There are great devil elixirs, life of the gods and a golden scarab at the far end. Pull the lever up here when you are done and it will raise a stone in the room where you pulled the first lever. Head through there and hop up the stones that appeared and you will come to a path. Read the message that appears and it will tell you that Musamaru wants to talk to talk to you in Tairon. Follow the path and some clawed creatures will appear.
Take them out if you like or just head through the large gate to get to Tairon. When you enter the great Bridge square, some new enemies will attack. They look like zombies of the old troops that used to infest the city. Go through the gate with the green circles and enter Musamaru's shop. A scene will play and tell you about a jewel that can go in your sword. When you are done, leave and go back through the gate to the path where the clawed creatures were. There is a dead ninja beside the door to Tairon that you can get Saru's diary from. Go down the path to the right and hop over the tree branch to stop anyone from following you. Save at the dragon and hop in the water to get a golden scarab and a life of the gods. When you have them, go through the cave behind the water fall and toss a shuriken at the broken wall or use the war hammer to destroy it.
Go through and drop down the edge to find a dead ninja and a lot of bats. Take them out and take the map from the body. Continue through the water a little bit and hop out again. Continue along until you slide down a hill and come to the Ice Caverns. When you land a few ice fiends will appear. These are just like the red ones that you had to face earlier. After you take them out, hop up the wall to the roof of the structure and get the elixir from the chest. Continue down the passage and you will come to a save point and a wall with a pentagon shape in it. Ignore it for now and jump down in to the crevice below. Kill the clawed creatures that appear and continue up the ledges and smash through the ice wall. You will eventually come to large pillars of ice that you can't get through. Go right and there will be a spot of ice on the ground to break through. Jump and smash through and take out the clawed creatures when you land.
Continue through the room and up the stone steps to come to some ruins. Look around and you will see a place to put a cog and a blasting furnace. Grab the shield of Vigoor from behind the hole you entered through and make your way back to the pentagram shaped depression in the door at the save point. Go through the door and you will enter the Magma Cavern. There are two fiends at the far end but they don't move forwards so you can just take them out with the spear gun if you want to be really cheap. Grab the iron ore and the final stone tablet off the ground here and continue forward over the lava to the platform. Hop around the corner to get more ore and to come to a passage that has steam jets shooting out. Walk past the first one and then run up the left wall to grab the ledge above you. Shimmy over the lava below and land on the ledge at the other side. Here you can go straight or left. If you go straight there is just a looked door so go left. When you drop down, two fiends appear.
Run past them and hop up the next ledge to come to a button. Jump on it to press it and it will raise platforms in the lava. Hop your way across the platform on the other side of the room but go quickly since the platforms will drop in time. Shop at the store here for whatever and then wall run around the walls leading to the passage on the left to the small room. When you enter a few fiends will appear, so either kill them or just jump up to the ledge on the left of the entrance. Go through the door there and you will come to a large bridge that will go up and down like a teeter totter when you step on it. Grab the golden scarab front eh platform beside the entrance and make your way across the bridge. When the far end is up, run towards it and jump off to either grab the edge of the opening in the wall or to jump right in. Go through and kill the bats and go to the pot. Put in your iron ore four times and for the last it will say that you need one more. Go back to the bridge and above where you entered from will be another door way. Jump up to there and grab the iron ore out of there and open the chest for life. Go back to the pot and it will create a cog in the mould. Now to get the cog you need to go all the way back to the ruins in the ice caverns. Oh joy.
Make your way back all the way through the ice caverns to the ruins and grab the cog from the mould in front of the building. Now that you are there you will notice that the ice pillars that were there are now gone. Save your game at the dragon head and continue to follow the passage to the end where you will find a ice hole in the ground. Smash through and you will be squaring off against an ice beast. This guy is pretty simple to beat and flying swallows and sword combos will take him down in no time. When he is dead, grab the Ice eye from the ground and enter the door at tower. Bounce jump your way up to the top once you are inside and you will notice a chest that you will bounce past. Get to the top and hang off the edge. Drop and you will automatically grab the ledge where the chest is. Grab the jewel of the demon and then drop down and bounce back up to the top. Go through the opening there and now you need to make your way to the magma lake to where the store is. When you get there, use the cog on the door beside the store and go through. Save your game there at the save point and follow the hallway around to the right past the fire statues.
Grab the golden scarab in the side hallway and the devil elixir in the chest. Go through a large door and you will be face to face with another of those damn worms. Thankfully this one is the easiest so far and you can kill it with out even getting hit yourself. When it fires its fire rings at you, just jump up as soon as he fires and it will go all around you without touching you. When the worm does its thrashing, block it and then give it a flying swallow attack. Also if it is firing fire rings too often, stand in the middle to lure it out to grab you. Move to the side when it moves and then give it a combo while it lays there. When you kill it, it will leave behind the fire eye stone. Pick it up and follow the passage way through. When you get to the end, there is a button you need to press to turn off the high flames at the end to allow you to pass. Jump and press the button and when you do it will show you a scene and will straighten out your path.
Run forward over the two platforms and then jump and grab the pole sticking out. From that pole jump to the next one and then you will lastly need to wall run along to the get past where the flames were. You only have like 5-10 seconds to do this so make sure you do it quick. When you get past, you will exit through a door next to the store and the cog door. Go through the cog door and save and grab the great elixir there if you missed it earlier like me. Now that you have both eyes for the door, make your way back up to the large door and place the eyes in it. When the door opens, go through and take the devil statue from the pedestal. When you do, that will cue a scene and the boss for this level will appear. It is an enormous dragon that stands in a pool of lava.
You need to hit its head to kill it, well you don't need to, but with out going into the lava it's the only part you can reach. The dragon has a few attacks, most of which are easily enough to dodge. He shoots fire balls at you that you can jump away from and same with his fire breath. He will flap his wings and this will take of some heavy damage if you don't block it in time. His last attack is to grab you in his mouth and chow down. When he does get you in his mouth however, you can open his mouth and get out before he throws you out. After you have given him some damage, his head will start to loll around the center and hang low. You can actually jump on top of his head how and give it some hefty combos. Eventually when you take him down, he will fall over and lie in the lava. Run across his body and exit through the door after picking up the Life of a thousand Gods.
Chapter 13
The Fiendish Awakening
Make your way past the bats and enter the room with the save point. This a small room with many many brain bee's in it. What you need to do to get to the top of the room is to wall run around and around the walls until you finally reach the top. You best bet is to take out all of the brain bee's first and then run to the top. Go through the door there and you will be back in the Aqua Duct area where you grabbed the Blue Tablet from atop the stairs way back when. Continue through the Aqua Duct and down the stone steps to the small room where the dead ninja was that you could get incendiary shurikens from and clawed creatures were. Go through the passage where you smashed the cracked wall earlier and a scene will play. Afterwards continue forward and you will come to the hole that you dropped down earlier that was filled with bats. Bounce jump your way up and go through the door to come out to aqua duct b3 where the hall of balance is.
Make your way up to the next floor by wall running up to the ledge and then head up the stairs to b1. Make a right and go through the door there to find a save point and the ladder that leads back up to the street. Make your way over to drawbridge hill and down to the bridge itself. Make your way across the bridge and through the door with the blue circle on it. Continue down this alley and go through the small gate at the end. Go right and then left up the stairs and make a left when you hit the next alley. Follow it around until you come to the serpent statue in the open area and place the three tablet stones you have on the plaque in front of it. After the short scene you are then teleported to Hayabusa Village where you were way back when. Remember that cracked stone that you didn't know what to do with near the entrance? Well now you can go up there and small is to take the jewel from behind it.
Make your way through the hole in the building to get to the store like you did previously and go out the door when you are done shopping. Go around the buildings to where you fought the horse riders and hop over the debris there. Go to the left of the save point and follow the stairs up to the graveyard. After the scene continue to the end of the graveyard and go through the teleporter. Keep going through teleporter to teleporter until you reach the large grassy area with the large building in the background. Run towards it and a scene will begin ands the battle with Alma starts again. This time around she is a lot uglier and thankfully not so tough since you have had a lot more practice. To defeat her all you need to do is use the same combo that you used the previous time, XYXXX.
Get in close to her and let her have it. It takes a huge chunk of life off her. After you nail her, get out of the way though. She has a nasty grab move that curls you up and knocks ? of your life off. Combo her and get out of the way and repeat. She'll go down in no time. A few potions would be handy but aren't absolutely necessary. After she is toast, watch the touching scene and you still have the hard part to do before you finish the chapter. Walk up to the pyramid and smash the crack with a hammer to open it up. Walk inside and you will have a small puzzle to solve. There are two rooms, one on each side. Both rooms have two slots to put tablets in but there are only three tablets, water, flame and leaves. The fourth slot has a circle symbol and is a place to put a tablet while you move them to the correct spot. All you need to do here is move the tablet to the corresponding slot on the wall.
Each time you make a match, a part of a circle will light up on a door and the room will fill those green creatures that hump you to death. Equip the flails and go to town on them when they appear. There are plenty of them and you'll be swinging for a while. Before you place all the tablets in the correct order, putting the leaves tablet in the flame spot will open a door that will allow you to grab the fourth statue, the Serpent. Finally when all the tablets are in the right spot a scene will play and the chapter will end. If you don't have enough life or potions to deal with the swarm of green creatures, you can head back to the teleporter and go to Hayabusa village to the store and purchase more. There is also a mirror in the bottom floor that has some stands across from it. Light the stands on fire with a incendiary shuriken and you will receive a jewel of the demon for your troubles.
Chapter 14
Vengeful Spirit
Make your way through the door that has the moon lit up on it and you will come out side. Follow the path down at the torches light up and on the right you will come to a gate that has the marking of the Griffon on it. Go to the left and go through the opening there to find a store and a save point. Continue through and you will come to a teleporter that will take you to another dimension. After the short scene you will have a whole lot of new clawed creatures to deal with. After you destroy the wave after wave of monsters, a chest will appear and you will get the Griffon key from it. Head back through the teleporter and go through the gate with the griffon key. As you do, you will encounter a new enemy. They are fish that float around and quickly attack you as soon as they see you. Equip the flail and it will take all of them out as they approach you.
Continue forward and you will have two ways to go. Go both and you will see the spirit of Doku eventually floating through the hallways leading you in the direction to go. He'll float through a door with a lion face that you need a key for. Go down the hallway past the door and you will come to a new super claw creature that shoots a laser out his eye as well as some more fish skeletons. There is a walkway around the top edge that leads to a chest and the lion key. Grab it and head back to the door with the Lion marking. Next make a right and go around the corner. There to the left will be a large door that you need a lioness key for.
Continue to go straight and then go left and follow the path here until you come to the chest that holds the key. Take it and head back to the large doors tat the spirit went through. When you enter, you will be in a show down with Doku's spirit. There are two serious weaknesses that Doku has. One is the inferno ninpo magic and the other is the XYXXX combo. The combo can take off almost half of his life at once and the ninpo about ? at once when it hits him. Doku can do some serious damage himself so try not to stand in one spot for too long. Let him attack, dodge it and then strike yourself. When he goes down the Chapter ends.
Chapter 15
The Core
Go through the opening in the wall if you don't feel like dealing with the respawning fish and save at the dragon head. Make your way up the right path to grab a great elixir from the chest and make your way back to the save point. Grab the now useless labyrinth map from the dead ninja and continue along the path until you come to some clawed creatures. Fight or flee it's your choice but grab the great devil potion from the chest. Continue down the path to the door behind the swarm of fish. Go through and grab the key of the Decayed Soul from the dead ninja on the stairs. Head back through the door and go to the palace core. From here on ion it's a tough battle since there are no stores to get any more health and all the health you will get is from a chest at the next save point and the essences you get from enemies, and there are plenty of them coming up.
Enter the palace and you will be surrounded by red fiends that you fought back in Tairon. There will be more than a few so use the wall trick that you used the first time to defeat them. Keep running up the wall and bouncing off their heads and slash downwards on them. When they are all dead place a statue in the opening in the center of the room and the door to exit will unlock. Go through and equip the flails to deal with the fish. Head up the stairs when they are all gone and grab the goods from the chest and enter the next room. In here will be some more red fiends along with some fire fiends from the magma caverns. Use the same technique here and when they are all dead place the statue in the opening to exit. Again head up the stairs and take out the fish. Enter the next floor and this is probably the easiest room so far. Take out the clawed creatures and the super clawed creature and again place the statue to exit.
Go up the stairs again, taking out the fish and before you enter the next door you can walk off the ledge to the right of the door to get a golden scarab. You'll need to run through the previous room and then head back up the stairs again. Go in the room here and there will be a few super clawed creatures to deal with. It seemed as though only two would attack at the same time though making t a little easier. Use the wall trick on these guys and place the final statue in the opening to exit. Head up the stairs one more time and pop open the chests to get a great elixir and a great devil potion. There is a slot there but to get through you will need the devil to open it. Save and then go through the teleport to the demon's dimension. Here you will be attacked by the good old Tentacle Fiends. You should be able to take this guy out no problem since he still uses the same pattern as before.
After you destroy him, you will have to face some more clawed creatures as the Demon Fiend sits in his chair throwing fireballs at you. Take the clawed creatures out the same as usual but when you hear the fiend start to laugh, that means he is about to toss a fireball at you so get ready to jump. The fireball will land where you were standing when he laughed. After you defeat the clawed Creatures then you get to fight, guess who? That's right, the Ice Cavern Fiend. Again he is the same as before and not all that tough. Use combos and the flying swallow attack to get out of the way quickly. When he tries to roll and flip onto you get out of the way quickly and attack him from behind. Make sure he doesn't grab you and keep hacking away. When he dies, you are once again back at the Demon Fiend. Now that he is pissed he decides to take you on himself.
When he attacks he will either shoot fireballs at you or dive at you. Same as before when he was sitting on his chair, when he starts laughing, make sure to watch out for his fireballs. When he dives and misses, he will sit on the ground for a while stunned. That's when you give him a nice combo and start wailing the crap outta him. There are some clawed creatures around that make this battle tougher then it seems but while you are dodging the fireballs and dives, swing and swipe to take out any clawed creatures that are near you. Continue with the combos when he is on the ground and eventually he will die. Also ninpo seems to do pretty much nothing against the Demon himself. It clears out the clawed guys pretty good but does no damage nearly at all to the demon.
When you defeat him grab the demon statue from the pedestal to use on the opening back at the palace. Go through the teleporter and you can now save, thankfully, and you will have one last chance to get to a store before the final few showdowns. Go back through the labyrinth and reach the store at the beginning of it. Stock up on elixirs, as many devil potions as you can, arrows and give him any scarabs you have for some extra goodies. When you are done, head back to the core and up the stairs to go through the door. When you enter, go up the long staircase and after the scene you come to the first showdown.
For this battle I'm not really sure who you are fighting. It looks like it is Alma but she turned human way back when you defeated her last time. Other than that I'm not sure who it could be, so it's just a big girl with wings apparently. I hope you went to the store and fully restocked all your supplies before coming into this battle. The easiest way to defeat this boss is to equip the inferno ninpo magic and just let loose on her until she is dead. It does a great chunk of damage to her and after about 8 times, she will die. If you don't have the ninpo then there are blue-ish green orbs on her chest and shoulders that you need to attack. You are standing on a stone platform that flies back and forth when you move. If you fall off it then you will land on another one. Float around on it and slash at the orbs, but like I said, the ninpo is the way to go. It is super easy if you have it, which you should.
After the big girl goes down, then you are squaring off against another boss. Geez, how many of these things are there? The one is a bunch of skull on legs and is really easy as well as long as you have some ninpo and arrows. The skulls on his body will fly out at you and attack. When they do, use the flail and take them out and you will be damaging the boss a fair amount. After the rush of small skulls come, his head will come flying at you and grab you. Watch out for it and either get out of the way or use a ninpo so you don't get grabbed. When the boss starts to walk around, pull out the arrows and start nailing him in the head. This does a lot of damage to him and will most likely take him down the most. After a few skull rushes he will finally be dead and the chapter will end.
Chapter 16
The Dark Dragon Blade
Save at the save point and then start your way up the stone platforms to the left. Hop up and jump across until you reach the sword. Grab it and a scene will play. You do need to hurry to get through here since if you take too long, the entire place will collapse on top of you. Also if you mis-jump and land in the lava below just kill yourself since you won't have enough time to get out and make it all the way around. Next continue your way up the stones and wall run to the next platform. Run up the wall and you will come to a few branches sticking out. Run and jump to grab them and swing from one to the next to the next to the wall and run to the platform on the left. Jump across to another branch and continue up the stones and shimmy over to get higher when you grab the ledge. Now you need to hop over the gap and go up a short wall and then jump another gap and run up the wall to get on top of the platform. Walk to the end of it and it will look like you have no where to go. Jump straight forward an there will be a plat form under you. Run along it to the next and from there you will see Rachel. Run towards her and a scene will play.
After the scene you are at the last battle of the game which is the Vigoorian Emperor. After he blabs about power and such the battle is on. To easily cheap this guy and take him down no problem, keep using the flying swallow attack on him one after another. Don't give him time to react just keep doing it. Back and forth and it will take big chunks out of his life. If he does get some licks in on you, they are mighty powerful. Try to not get hit since he mostly does combos and can kill you in a blink. When he gets to half life, he will then start with a dragon attack that you need to dodge. Keep up with the flying swallow attacks and he will eventually drop. He really isn't all that tough as long as he doesn't get a hold of you. If you do die while fighting the emperor, thankfully you won't have to do that entire platform jumping again. Just make your way to the dragon sword and the battle will start from there. After you drop him sit back and watch the ending scene and pat yourself on the back for completing one hell of a tough game.
