Intro

It was a time of hiatus in a period of bitter wars and great turmoil.

The Azuma ninja clan conducted the traditional ceremonies to end its year of mourning for the tragic death of Rikimaru. Meanwhile, the land of Gohda celebrated the passing of the fourth season of peace since the defeat of Lord Mei-Oh. Only the Azuma ninjas knew the truth about Lord Mei-Oh's disappearance into a portal after he was defeated. It was a secret that even Lord Gohda did not know.

Lord Gohda did know that the Azuma ninjas served him with their lives and with their honor - delivering midnight messages to neighboring states and punishment in the shadows to those who turned against him. They were a feared yet unknown group, a faceless arm of justice masked in a cloud of secrets. Most importantly, they were his merciless force of silent assassins.

This is the sequel to a tale of two shadows born unto darkness and destined to die in darkness.

Playable Characters

Rikimaru

Age: 26

Leader of the Azuma Shinob-ryu ninja sect. His thoroughness, patience and bravery have earned him the honor of the Izayoi sword according the sect's master Shiunsai. Terrifyingly focused and withdrawn, Rikimaru's sense of destiny and composure give him the strength to take on missions that most would consider acts of suicide.

Ayame

Age: 22

Bold yet quick, silent yet cunning, Ayame has been trained since childhood as a ninja. As sharp with her tongue as she is with her sword, Ayame uses an acrobatic style of Ninjitsu to overcome obstacles living or dead. She adores Gohda's daughter Kiku as if the little girl were her own sister.

Tesshu

Unlockable after game is completed with Ayame and Rikimaru

Doctor by day, hired assassin by night. He belongs to an underground vigilante group called "Muzen" that will murder for money, but only if it serves justice.

A ninja has a sixth sense that will allow him or her to sense the emotions of people and creatures nearby. The Ki meter is the embodiment of this sense. It indicates the proximity and alertness of any nearby beings. The meter shows how aware the enemy is of your existence four ways: ?,!,!!,!?. The closer the enemy, the larger the meter will be.

?

Indicates an enemy or innocent bystander who is not aware of your presence. The

size of the '?' shows how close they are to your position.

!

Indicates that you have been spotted but you have not been identified as a threat.

The enemy may have mistaken you for a dog, cat or a colleague.

Ayame Walkthrough

Mission One: Bamboo Forest

Rescue the village girls!

Welcome to the world of Tenchu. This first mission is a very easy one to help get you started on your way. This mission can be pretty simple if you want it to be. You start on a walkway where your first victim wanders around a clearing below you. Run along the walkway and jump off the side to perform a stealth kill from above.

There are two openings you can crawl into at one end of the clearing and a cave opening at the other. If you decide to go through the crawl spaces, the left one will lead to a healing pool, where if you crouch in it, you will be healed back to full health. The other leads to an area where there are a few guards walking around. To get through the right crawl space, you need to grab the railing along the side of the wall and shimmy your way over the bottomless pit. Perform some stealth kills on the guards in this area and you will eventually make your way back around to where you started.

Next, head for the cave at the opposite end the crawl spaces. Make sure to grab the shuriken at the opening of the cave before you enter and the Ninja rebirth just inside. Move quietly through the cave and watch for the two guards. Slip into the room on the left of them and wait until they have their amusing little chat. When they are done talking, they split up and start their guard routine. Attack them then, one at a time.

Run up the ramp and leave the cave while you grab the small heath items in front of the shrine just outside. Continue down the path and dispatch of the dog here before he alerts the guards of your presence. I really think these dogs deserve an academy award for their death scenes. They flip and flop all over the place if you get them just right. Head towards the snowman (snowman you say? Look at the map and you will see a snowman on it). There is an archer who patrols in front of it so be careful to stay as close to the wall as you can. Remember that archers have better vision than regular guards and can detect you from further away. Take out the archer and the guard at the top of the stairs to your left.

At the snowman, you have two ways you can go to reach the end of the level. If you follow the path right of the snowman, you will end up in a trench beside the last guard. If you follow the path to the left of the snowman, you will be ground level with the last guard and is rather tricky to sneak up on. Take the right path, but be careful of the bottomless pit that you will need to grapple over around the first corner. When you come to the last turn, kill the guard in the trench. Jump and hang on the edge of the wall until the last guard walking around up top turns away. Sneak up behind him and get yourself an easy stealth kill. Be sure you kill him before entering the building! If you don't, you will have to fight him as well as Tajima. Grab the ninja rebirth beside the entrance and head inside the building.

Tajima

Defeating Tajima is pretty straight forward. Run away from him while he fires off rounds from his gun. When you hear him say "Fly baby!" it means he is about to throw you into the air with his sword. When he tosses you in the air, he fires a few rounds from his gun into you Dante style. It is a good idea to keep a safe distance when you hear his warning. Jumping over his head and attacking him from behind works pretty good as an attack tactic. Repeat this a few times and he'll be dead in no time.

Mission Two: Echigoya

Execute the Evil Merchant!

You start this level running across rooftops in search of Echigoya. A quick look down and you will see a guard not far away patrolling on the ground. To easily kill this guard run around him on the rooftops until you get behind him. Hit the buzzing bee hive below when he is near it with a shuriken. The bees will attack the guard and kill him. But that's no fun, so go for the stealth kill.

Run along the rooftops to the far right corner of the map until you get a cut scene showing you 3 guards having a good time. The cut scene shows you a key beside one of the guards and then the door which you need the key to open. You can throw in a grenade to get the guards to scatter and search for you, but when they do, one of the guards will pick up the key and take it with him. You will need to kill each guard until you find which one has it.

Your best bet is to drop down from the roof and charge in. You may get 1-2 stealth kills depending how fast you are. Kill the remaining guards and take the key. Head back to the rooftops to take out the guard that is covering the locked door by the ramp. Open the lock and head through the passage way to the next area.

The other option is to enter the building through the doors where the first guard was, by the bee hive. If you choose this entrance, enter the main doors and run through the building until you come to a crawlspace. Enter it and you will bypass the whole door/key trouble.

When you are in the second area, you can either enter the building through the main doors of the large house or a crawlspace in the ground, located down the side alleyway. This will take you inside of the Echigoyas' house. I prefer to take the crawlspace. Here's how to get there.

Run like mad to the wall of the while building facing you, when you exit the hole from the first area. Take out the guard that will be walking your way on the left. Grapple up to the roof of the white buildings and make your way east. Hop over the rooftops until you drop down into the alleyway behind the really big building. There will be an opening in the ground here that will lead you into the house.

To get through the house it is pretty straight forward, although I do suggest moving in stealth mode constantly. There are countless sliding doors that you will want to open by putting your back against the wall beside them. When you come across a sleeping cat, keep your distance from it as you sneak past. If it wakes up, it will freak out, alerting any nearby guards.

Move through the house, through the crawlspace, and continue until you come to a dead end. Grapple up to opening above you and sneak along through the attic. Around the corner on the right, there is a guard here that you can rush right in and kill with more surprise than stealth. Keep following the passageway until you reach a drop off. Wait for the guard down there to turn. Drop down and kill him and move into the next room. Drop down through the wooden beams here and you have reached Echigoya.

After a cut scene with Echigoya and Nasu, Echigoya high tails it out of there and you are left to fight Nasu.

Nasu

Give Nasu a beating with a standard block/attack combo, but watch out when he is low on health. He will start to whine and cry like a little baby and place an item down in front of him. Do not go to grab it. Stay away from him when he is whining or else he will nail you with a huge hit that will send you flying across the room into the wall. You can let him get back up and then continue to kick his ass, or do what I suggest, and throw a sticky bomb at him. It will kill him one hit.

After he is beaten, start back tracking through the house the way you came. The easiest way to find your way back to the entrance is to just follow the trail of bodies you left behind. When you reach the bottom of the stairs, a cut scene will start and the mission ends.

Mission Three: Goya Castle

Assassinate the Traitor Hamada!

This is one level that takes some getting used to. It is very enclosed and not much room at all for running around like the previous levels.

From the start of this mission, head to your right. Dispose of the guard hanging outside the door with your trusty poison rice. Try not to alert the ninjas in this mission at all. They are quick like bunnies and usually when one is alerted another will come running over. Also make sure you kill all your enemies before they eat the rice. You will be using it a lot on this mission.

Sneak past the room with the room with the beds and around the corner. Take a left and watch for the ninja lurking on the right. Carry on down the hall, stopping to toss some rice and take out the ninja patrolling there. With your back to the wall, you can throw rice around corners. It is strange but true; enemies do not get alerted to a bowl of rice rolling towards them. Use this trick whenever you don't want to take the chance of getting caught sneaking up on someone.

Halfway up this hallway is a door on the right side. Go through it to grab a grenade and to find a secret passage which saves you from some pretty tricky fighting that would have had deal with if you continued down the hall. Grab the ninja Rebirth in here and exit through the door while being careful not to alert the ninja there. Make a left when you finish with him and hug the wall ahead of you. Use your trusty rice for the Kunoichi patrolling here and snag the health item when you finish her off. Exit the room through the door and prepare to take out the ninja to your right in the hallway. After you relieve him of breathing, head up the staircase and open the door at the end of the hall. Again, use your trusty rice trick to lure this guard in for a stealth kill.

Make your way down the hall till you reach a doorway. Be careful here. On the other side of the wall are two ninjas with only one visible. Try and time it right so that when you run into the room he is turned away from you. He doesn't turn for long and can be pretty tricky to time. Take care of the ninja in the adjoining room when you are done with this one. Make your way through the door and around the corner. As soon as you enter, a ninja will be right around the corner from you so be prepared to take him out quickly.

Carry on down the hall, pausing behind the corner to let the Kunoichi turn around. When she does, run up to the other corner, and time your attack. Make your way around the left corner and wait for the ninja walking around this room to turn. Take him out and head down the stairs. Grab the ninja rebirth when you enter these gorgeous golden hallways, and continue on till you reach Hamada.

Hamada

After a cut scene you start your fight with the smallest glasses on the biggest head Hamada. Like the previous bosses he really isn't all that tough. He has one major attack that he uses and it is easy to tell when he is going to use it. When he stops moving and starts to charge up his sword, start wailing on him. Another way is to wait until his sword charges and he lunges at you. Side step his attack and start wailing on him then. Either of these attacks works well and he will be crushed in no time.

Mission Four: Cemetery

Retrieve the Yoto Swords!

This level in a word is...Difficult.

The main problem is that this level is crawling with undead creatures and of course you cannot kill them. There are some ninjas which you can kill but they are far and few between. Getting grand master ranking on this level the first time through is very hard. You really need to be a quiet as possible and stealth mode is your best friend through this mission.

Start the level by rolling forward and left. Get behind the stones at the top of the ramp and roll down it. Start rolling to the right and make sure the dancing demon doesn't see you. There is a ninja ahead of you that you can use your poison rice trick on. Stealth kill him and roll you way back up to the wall. Sneak your way over to the edge of the drop off and there will be one of the five stones below you. Before you drop down make sure the undead samurai is facing away from you. Drop down and break the stone and hide behind the tree. A door on the right side will open. Wait until the undead samurai turns his back again, and then head for the opening. When you enter the door will shut behind you so you don't have to worry about the swordsman. Around the next corner will be a ninja, so stealth kill him in the back and keep going.

Run through this passageway, making a left, then another left, stopping for a ninja, then continuing on going right until you come to an area that is totally soaked in blood. Crouch up to the edge of the drop off and look down to see a undead samurai. Drop off the ledge when he is walking away from you. Hold down R1 when you land, and keep holding it to somersault up behind him. Take him out and head around to the left side of the room. Look up and grapple to an opening there.

This is one really tricky passageway. You will see a long hallway. At the end of it is an undead archer and about a third of the way down is a passage off to the left. There is a dancing demon that walks back and forth from the hallway on the left out to the main hallway. You need to sneak past him and run up the passage until you get to another side hallway that is off to the left as well. From this passage you can watch the undead archer and time it so that you can sneak behind him and run down the hallway before he has time to turn around. When you make it around the corner, keep running until you hear a door close behind you.

From here make your way forward down the corridor. Around the right corner is another stone that you need to break, but there is also a dancing demon in the hallway right beside it. It takes a bit of patience to get past him without being seen. You need to wait until he walk out of his hallway, walks around a bit, turns around and then goes back in before you can break the stone. When you break it, stay crouched there and wait for him to walk out of the hallway again. When he goes off on his walk, sneak in behind him and run around the corner. Around the next corner will be a ninja, so get your poison rice ready.

Run outside and hop the fence at the far end. Stay close to the wall and roll into the crater that is on your left. Be careful of the undead archer that is up beside the fence that you just hopped over. Roll your way towards the big tree but watch out for hands that come up from the ground and grab you. Quickly jump and grab the ledge of the wall to your left and pull yourself up. Keep on crouching over towards the stone. Throw down your poison rice for the ninja circling around. Kill him and head over to break the stone. Climb back up on the rock, roll across it, and drop off the other side. Head into the entrance way. Make your way through until you come to a large opening which has spooky floating head. Grapple up to the ledge and go on until you need to jump up to another ledge which will lead you outside.

This is another very tricky part. There are 2 ninjas and a dancing demon out here. As soon as one sees you, they all attack you. A plus in this area though is that you can climb the trees for some extra sneakiness. Trying to not alert anyone and using the poison rice on the ninja by the exit is probably your safest bet on getting through this area undetected. Break the stone to the right and head for the passage way. Down the hall another door will close behind you.

Next up, you will come to an area where there is a drop in front of you and a room beside you. In that room is an undead samurai. Drop off the ledge and roll over to the left. Jump and grab the ledge and use the manual camera to see where he is and the ninja in the far hallway is. Time your move so that the undead has his back to you and the ninja is down the hallway. Run past the undead and use the rice on the ninja. At the end of that hallway is a hole in the ceiling that you will need to grapple out of.

Run up the ramp and destroy the last stone. Stand in front of the little temple to start the battle with the headless giant.

Headless Giant

He's big, he's mean, he's…well…headless.

To take this guy out, jump on top of the temple and jump attack him. When you land in front of him, give him a quick combo. Run away, get back on top of the temple before he can step on you or sit on you (yes he sits on you). Be sure to stay away from his enormous sword which can swat you like a fly and the blood he sprays out of his neck.

Mission Five: Ronin Village

Go To the Red House of Zennosuke!

When the level begins, start crouching and rolling to the right immediately. The easiest way through this part of the level is to stick along the right side of the map and take out the one ninja near the opening that you need to crawl though to get to the next area. If you want to take out all the enemies and build up your Kanji, use extreme care. Getting through it while not being spotted is very tough.

When you exit the hole, through the opening in the wall to the next area, keep crouching. There are two ninjas to your direct right that will hear you splashing if you run. Keep going forward till you reach the wall you can put your back against and toss some rice for the ninja coming towards you. Take him out and continue around the corner. Hop up onto the platform and hang on the edge while you wait for the ninja to your right to turn around. Take him out and jump onto the rooftop of the building to your right. Run along the rooftop as far as you can. Hop down into the water and run across till the end. Jump up and hug the wall of the house watching the ninja there. Take him out or run past him around the left side of the giant barrel and in front of the gate.

This next area is a big courtyard with several giant barrels spread around. There are also 5 enemies lurking around. Go down the ramp and head left. Jump on top of the barrel and scout out where everyone is. Use your poison to lure the enemies where you can stealth kill them with out another ninja seeing. When all have been defeated, head towards the gate.

This last and final area of this mission can be a bit tricky. Head to the left and take out the Kunoichi on the rooftop. There are many non-combatants on this level so be double careful to not let them see you. After you take out the Kunoichi on the roof top, head left again to the big building and start looking down for the ninja there. Take him out and then head towards the big gate to take out the Kunoichi there. Head back to the rooftops and go to the red building that you need to enter. Drop down onto the ninja standing in front of it. Kill him and enter the building. When you enter you are treated to a cut scene.

Tesshu

Tesshu reminds be of a bar brawler for some reason. It could be the fact that he can give you one mean knuckle sammich when he gets hold of you. When you get a few good licks in on Tesshu another cut scene starts. You are free to wander around for a few seconds until another starts.

Rikimaru (Hyakubake)

As soon as the fight starts, he chugs back a potion of strength. Give him a few shots very quickly to stop him. Also another good idea is to lure him back to the clearing where you fought Tesshu so you can have some room to move. Rikimaru really isn't all that difficult to trounce. I wouldn't say he is any harder than a regular ninja. Give him a few combos run, block and repeat.

Mission Six: Amagai Castle

Escape From Amagai Castle

Well for a switch you get to start this level against a boss. The good Dr. Kimaira and his freaky doll put up a pretty good fight if you let them. The easiest, the definitely not the fastest way to defeat him is to stay away from him until he does his spin move. When he does, keep your block up until he stops, then haul ass on him. Keep doing this over and over and he will be dead sooner or later. When you are staying away from him watch out for his gun attack which he makes well known by moving his arms back and forth. Head into the castle after you defeat him.

Seeing as how you have a Twenty minute limit on this mission you will want to try and keep moving as quickly as you can. Head down the stairs running around both corners and over the edge of the drop off. Grab the ninja rebirth down here to the left and grapple back up to the other side and hang there. Wait until the wooden Samurai turns his back to climb up and attack him, getting your stealth kill. In front of you, you will see two big blades raising and falling. Wait until the closest blade is up and the farthest is down and then grapple across the gap missing both blades. Keep running until you come to another gap. Take a peek down and you will see gears grinding away. Those are bad gears. If you fall into them, you will die and the ninja rebirth won't help you.

To get over them, you need to make a diagonal double jump to the far left corner of the room. After you make that jump, the next room will have a smaller gap but gears that are equally bad. When you jump over these gears jump straight across, but make sure you time it so that the wooden guard on the other side is turned away from you. Stealth kill him and wait behind the corner for the Chibot that is around the corner to turn. When he does, WHAMMO! And continue on.

You will be making a left at the next corner, but wait against the wall for the guard there to turn around. Kill him and head down the hall. Make a left at the first opening. Run up to the wall around the right corner and jump, grabbing the ledge. Again, wait until the Chibot turns around to jump up. Climb up and take him out. Through this room you can go straight or go around to the right to pick up some items. If you take the right path, there are two section of floor that fall away.

Continue on till you get to the drop. Drop off the first step, but stay crouched on the second until you see the guard below you turn. Jump stealth kill him from above.

Run along the right corner and be on the look out for the spike pit that is in the floor. Jump over it and head down the stairs. There is a guard to your left at the bottom of the stairs. It can be a little tricky to take him out, but a left strafe move will do it. Keep going, down and over the lowered floor, where you can grab a grenade and smoke bomb if you feel you need them. Grab the ledge on the left and wait for the guard to turn around. When he does kill him and head left. You will come to a bridge that is set across the room. A cut scene will start showing the door to the right of you closing. Just use you grappling hook to get over the door. Head straight and jump down the opening. Jump up to the opposite ledge and wait for the guard to turn before you climb up to kill him.

To your right will be two walls that have circular marks on the floor in front of them. These are revolving doors. Stand with your back to the door on the left and a cut scene will show you turning on the wall. Run up to the wall on the right that has the fencing on the bottom of it. Use your manual camera to watch the Chibot outside the doorway to turn. Run out and show him who is boss. Don't go too far forward though because the grayish floor at the far end makes noise alerting the guard around the corner on the left. Wait at the corner for him to walk out. When he turns around, crouch and roll behind him. At the end of the hallway is another revolving door that you need to go through

As soon as you go through the door, there is a drop to your immediate right. Jump off this and kill the guard down there at the same time. Head down the stairs and make a fast jump into the pit there. Stay to the far left side though, as spikes are on the right. Grapple up to the ledge and wait for the guard to turn. Watch for the Chibot on the other side of the fire room. When he is turned, run through and kill him. Take a left and somersault through the spikes that drop down. Make a quick right and jump up onto the walkway in front of you. You can run along the ground here but the ground is booby trapped with false floor boards that give way and reveal bottomless pits underneath.

Take out the Wooden Samurai here around the corner on the right. Move to the left and DUCK!!! Spears fly out of the wall here. Look up and grapple onto the orange and black blocks. Jump a little ways straight across and drop down. From here, crouch watching the guard across from you. When he turns, jump over the lava pit and kill him. From here, look up and to your left and you will see an opening. Grapple on up there and drop down on the other side. Be very careful of the lava stream on the far right here. Run down the left passageway and turn into the large room. The end level cut screen starts and you will have a choice to fight Onikage or not.

Onikage

To defeat Onikage to you need to be very aggressive and not let up on him. When you do, he charges at you and makes life pretty miserable for you. Another thing you will want to do is to not let him near you. If he grabs you, he will suck the life out of you and into him. Keep hitting him as often as you can and don't let him drink a health item and cure himself. If you want to be real crafty, you can choose to not fight him and then retry the mission with the ninja armor that you get from a grand master ranking. The ninja armor makes Onikage a lot easier to defeat.

Mission Seven: Buddha Temple

Retrieve the Jewel of Heaven!

Ganda

This mission continues an unsettling trend of having to fight a boss right at the start. Good thing he is probably the easiest enemy there is. Ganda really doesn't like to move his position a lot. He doesn't chase you much, so use this to your advantage. As soon as the fight starts gets some distance between the two of you and then load up your sticky bombs. Hit him with 5 of them and he will be done for in record time.

As you enter the mission, stay behind the first wall and waiting until the monk at the far end walks away. Here you can either use your blowgun to nail him or try and make the 100 miles dash to get behind him. After you take him out, there is another one directly to your left walking around in front of the temple. When both are taken care of, grapple up to the crawlspace above the red pillars.

Crawl through and somersault to the walkway where the basket head is patrolling. Take him out and jump back down. The monk at the far end will see his body and run over. Wait until the Ki meter goes back to green to jump up and kill him. Run down the walkway and around the corner. Head up the stairs, up the ramp, through the wood room and stop at the doorway on the other side. Directly across and down from you is another monk. Again, you have the choice of either taking him out with the blow gun, or making the 100 mile dash when he is turned. I would go for the blowgun approach here because there is another enemy to the right of that passageway that may hear the scuffle if you don't get the drop on him.

Head over to that passageway after he is taken out with a double jump. In the room you just jumped over is another monk. Hug the wall and use your poison rice to lure him if you want the stealth kill. If not, you can just continue on down the passageway without bothering him. Around the corner on the left you can see into a wide clearing. Jump over to the platform in front of you and wait. Look down and you will see a bear walking around. When the bear turns away, jump down and stealth kill him. You really don't want the bear to notice you. He has 300 hit points, the highest in the entire game. You will want to stealth kill the bear as fast as you can and not let it get to far ahead of you. There is a clearing to the left with a Kenpo Bouzu patrolling who will come running over if he sees the bear's body.

Grapple up twice to the wooden platform above you to grab an egg for health. Drop down and hide behind a pillar while you lure the monk with your trusty rice bowl. Head into the alcove he was guarding and grapple up to the left. Scamper down the tunnel until you come to a large room with a bridge spanning across the top above you and a platform out to the left of you. Diagonal double jump to the platform and run to the far wall. Turn around and grapple up while stay hanging on the edge. Wait for the monk to turn, climb up and kill him.

Next, jump across the gap you just climbed through. There are two directions you can go here. The path going straight has a really big pit and some tricky jumping which will lead you to your death if you mess it up. Although it also lets you find Ayame's Dokuto swords. The path to the right is safer without the big pit, but also without the swords.

If you decide to go straight, hop across to the platform above the pit. Next jump across to the ledge on the right side. You will see a beam of wood ahead of you which you need to jump onto. From here grapple over to the far edge and keep going back and forth from left side to the right side until you can see the platform below you. Jump down to the platform and enter the room. Grab the swords and grapple your way up and out of the room. You will exit outside beside the temple. Walk down the alleyway, away from the monks, and enter the temple.

The path to the right is safer without the tricky jumps but takes a bit long and has more enemies along the way. Look far down the hallway on the right and you will see a monk patrolling there. Wait until he turns and walks away to make the mad dash down there to get him. Follow the passage around to a drop into a large room. At the far end will be a basket head walking back and forth. Toss a rice bowl down and have your way with him. Grapple up to the ledge on your left and there will be a boarded up entrance. Jump on top of the wall of boards and walk backwards to hang off it.

Drop down to the platform below holding R1. When you land the chances of Stealth Killing both monks is very slim without using a spell to help you out, but it is still possible. Head through the crawlspace and grapple up the boards to a small room at the top. Grapple up and out the opening heading towards the side with boards lying across the corner. Once up top there are two monks patrolling up here. Time your attack on the first and closest monk so that the farthest one is out of sight. Using your rice here is also helpful. When both monks are taken care of, head down the alley way to the right. There is a hole in the floor on the left side of the alley which you won't want to fall into. Turn right and enter the temple.

Once inside, grapple up and over the walkway. Stick close to the wall around the second corner while you toss out your rice for the monk walking towards you. Hop over the railing to your right after you are finished with him and toss your rice out for the monk straight ahead. When he is taken care of, head up the stairs to the fire burning at the base of the statue. Grapple up to the second row of planks and jump left. From here crouch and look up to the left to see a monk waking back and forth. Grapple over to his planks and stealth kill him. The head of the Buddha statue will be right across from you glowing bright red. A simple jump will get you there and end the mission.
