Kharg: The first battle

Chapter 1

When the game starts, you are treated with a long scene introducing you to a few of the characters. Kharg and Lloyd have a sparring match as Paulette looks on. After the fight, Banjo runs over and talks to Lloyd. Make your way into the house directly to you the right of where the sparring match was. When you enter, you and Paulette will hear a voice. Head into the back room and look at the shining object on the shelf to have a visit from the spirit of the wind. After he leaves go back out and talk to Paulette again. Make your way out of the house and towards Lloyd and Banjo.

When you talk to them, Banjo will tell you of a mysterious stranger at the Scrappe Plateau. Make your way around town and talk to the people there. The gang boy outside of the guards place will ask you to ask Duncan to allow them to play in the castle ruins again. When you enter the guard house, Duncan is behind the desk to the right. Talk to him and you will learn of a monkey man that is causing troubles in the town. In this house, there is a room at the top of the stairs with a man looking for something and a save point outside his door. Save your game if you like and make your way back outside and out the gates to outside of the town.

Pick the Scrappe Plateau on the map and make your way there. When you enter you will see some little critters kicking a guy in the back of the head. These are Suskle Squirrels and you need to save the mysterious man from them. Enter the battle and follow the instructions. This is a rather easy battle and more or less is just to get you familiar with how battles work. If you happen to get low on life, Paulette has a health skill and Kharg has a healing herb he can use. When the Suskles are dead, Kharg and the mysterious man share a few words and Kharg learns his name is Zev. Leave the Plateau and make your way back to Yewbell. When you enter town again, make your way back to your house and enter to find Lloyd. Talk to him and you will hear about the Plumb Mines and that a group of miners have gone missing.

Lloyd heads to find them as he tells you to head to the refinery. Make your way to the bottom of town to enter it. Do so and have a chat with Banjo. Afterwards when you leave a scene will begin when you near the gates. Lloyd will return with an injured miner named Morth. Go back to your house and you will have a talk with Lady Nafia and Lloyd. Lady Nafia will tell you she doesn't want you to go with the garrison to the mines. When you leave and go to the gates, Lloyd will forbid you from coming along as well. Make your way back into the house and go into Lady Nafia's room and speak with Morth. He will tell you some juicy tid bits about what he over heard Lady Nafia and Lloyd talking about. Exit the house and you will then hear a knocking at the gate. It will be Zev looking for a way in. To open the gate, go and get the key from Duncan. Talk to him about the castle ruins again if you already have. If you haven't then you need to talk to the Gang boy outside the garrison office door first. When you talk to Duncan, get the key and go back to the gate. It will open and you can continue through the castle ruins to the Chaos Forest.

Walk around the ruins and enter the forest on the right side. When you enter a cut scene will start and you will meet the Green faced monkey boy. After the long scene between the two of you, a battle with some Suskle Squirrels and a Slothian starts. The fight is not really too difficult at all. Have Maru use his venom attack on multiple enemies and they won't last long. Also Maru tells you that there is a stash in the tree stump. Attack it and grab the health inside it. After the battle heal up or head back to town to heal. When you are ready continue through the chaos forest to The Edge of a Sea of Trees. When you enter you will be greeted by a pack of Suskle Squirrels but it should be nothing that you can't handle. Take them out and continue on to Plumb Canyon.

When you enter a cut scene will start showing you what is going on. The will be some Drakyr's that you need to take out. There are five of them to be exact. Paulette will be in your party so have her heal anyone that needs it while Maru attacks from a distance and Kharg does the grunt work. After the battle Lloyd shows up and isn't too happy about things. Paulette will leave with him and you are free to walk around the canyon. Talk to Maru to have him join you again and then talk to the leftmost of the three guards near the door to be able to exit to the outside. Head back to Yewbell with a stop over at the Garange Hills. When you enter the hills a long cut scene plays with an Unknown Deimos and his family and continues through to when you reach Yewbell which will end the chapter.

Darc: Awakening

Chapter 1

After a long scene that shows Darc's past and childhood, you are awakened in a cell by Geedo who tells you she has an errand for you. She needs you to grab some Phoenix blood from Orcoth. Save your game in the dungeon and then make your way up the stairs and out of the house. Follow the map along to Sabnak Forest and then on to Orcoth. When you enter you will be greeted by a rather rude Orcon Girl named Delma. Actually everyone in town doesn't like you at all and you are told that the Quorop sells the goods in town but he is gone. Walk around to the right and up into the doorway at the top to stumble upon a conversation between Densimo and the long horned Gorma.

After their scene you can talk to his two guards to learn about the Firbles and the arena being closed. Make your way back out of the room and go south and to the right to enter Gorma's trailer. When you are inside you can ask him about anything you wish to know and learn more about the Firbles and Pyrons. Exit the trailer when you are ready and make your way to the Orcon standing near the light fountain type structure and she will tell you the Quorup is back in town. Head over to where the shop was earlier and talk to the shopkeeper. Buy the Phoenix blood and make your way up the stairs to the exit. When you do, you will run into two characters named Zoram and Zugalo.

They will say that you can hand over what you bought or fight them. Since you aren't given a choice, you follow them back into the large room where Densimo was. This time around he is sleeping as you start the battle with Zoram and Zugalo. Zugalo does the most damage to you but he also misses a lot. A few swipes with the wind claw and he will go down. Zoram is easier to deal with so pick which one you want to take on first and have it him. After the battle Delma enters and talks to you about joining her. You decide against it and she leaves. Save your game beside Densimo if you like and then head for the exit to go back to Geedo's house.

Enter Geedo's house and you will have a short conversation with her. She will then tell you that she thinks she can make a lot of money by getting some Firbles. She wants you to track some down and capture them. Head back to Orcoth and talk to Gorma again about Firbles again if you haven't already. This time around he will give additional information about where the Firbles live saying they like to be near water. Exit the town and there will be three new places on the world map to visit. The Varram Barrens, The Tindalos Woods and finally the Haystir Marsh. Since Gorma said the little guys liked water, head to the Haystir Marsh. When you enter the marsh you will see the firble running around. You will need to sneak up on him to catch him.

Sneak around by pressing the circle button. If he sees or hears you he will run to another spot. Walk up behind or beside him and grab him by pressing X. When you grab him, your old pals Zoram and Zugalo show up with Delma. After the scene with them, they leave and you return to the church ruins with your firble. Delma shows up and the two of you make a deal. Unfortunately Darc is spotted by a Drakyr and he wants the Wind Stone back. After another scene, a battle ensues. The battle can be pretty tough if you haven't leveled enough. Going to other places on the map to get more experience may be what you need to do before this battle.

After the battle is over, Delma and Darc have another heart warming and name calling conversation about Geedo. When Delma leaves, head back to Geedo's house. After a long night, you wake up back in the dungeon. Make your way outside and you will run into Delma again. She will join your party as you make your way back to the church ruins to check on your firble. You get quite the surprise when you see it but are quickly interrupted by some intruders. After the cut scene you are into a battle with 4 mercenaries. Take them out seeing as they really aren't the toughest around. When they are beaten you are treated to another cut scene about needing some more allies. Delma suggests her brother Densimo. Make your way to Orcoth and do whatever shopping you need to. When you are done, get Zoram and Zugalo to move out of the way so you can talk to Densimo.

Walk up to him and start the chat. After a long conversation Densimo will join your party and you are off to Zedora Abyss to kill some humans. Before you exit Orcoth, talk to the Orcon woman beside the light fountain thing and she will tell you about the 5 wonders of the Orcon race. When she is done she will ask you how many letters were in the words she had spoken. The right answer is 600-800 and she will give you ten healing herbs for guessing the right answer. Make your way up the stairs and out of Orcoth and on to Zedora Abyss to squash some puny humans.

When you enter Zedora, you will notice some humans on guard and some mining. Densimo gets antsy and rushes into the battle. There are three long range gunners to deal with and two close range pole arms to fight. They really aren't all that tough and Densimo can hand out some heavy damage. After the battle make your way back to Orcoth. When you enter you will suddenly remember that you haven't heard from Geedo all day. Densimo doesn't like you being a slave so now you guys are off to find her. Stock up on herbs, stones and heal and make your way to The Varram Barrens. Enter the Barrens and another scene starts with Geedo and some Drakyrs. After a small battle with some wyverns a scene starts and you are left alone to make your way back to the church ruins. Before you enter the church ruins, it would be a wise idea to head back to Orcoth to stock up on supplies and save the game.

Make your way to the church ruins and walk up to your father's grave. A fierce battle will break out with you, Densimo, Geedo and two Drakyr's. You will notice that you are now wearing the armor from the humans that was on the ground and you also have a sword. Check your special moves for a new and rather kick ass attack. To start the battle, back track a bit and let Densimo come to you. Chances is one of the Drakyr's will come down the stairs as well. Stay away from the railing to the second level as Geedo can cast magical attack from a good distance. Take them both out one at a time and then try to lure Geedo down to you. Do not get more then 2 enemies at once during this battle. Make sure you have also given yourself enough herbs before the start of the battle as Geedo and Densimo do some hefty damage. If you kill them in that order then you should have a single Drakyr left to deal with which will be easy enough.

After the battle, Darc has a few words with himself as Delma runs in to meet you. She isn't too impressed with your new attitude and lets it be known. Watch another rather long cut scene as the second Kharg chapter begins.

Kharg: Setting Out

Chapter 2

As this chapter starts a long cut scene plays as Kharg is celebrated and inducted as the new commander of the Defense Garrison. After the celebration everyone leaves and you make your way over to Paulette and she will tell you that she is going to check around and make sure the town is safe. From here head in to your house and have a talk with Lady Nafia. She will give you the Wind Stone and talk a little about Kharg's father. When she clams up and leaves the wind spirit appears again and babbles on about the chosen one. Leave the house and make your way to the Defense Garrison office/bar.

Outside the doorway will be Maru who will tell you that Duncan has a job for you. Go inside and talk to him to hear a story from a young woman about how her engagement ring was stolen from her at the Scrappe Plateau. Agree to help her and make your way up the stairs to the green doors. Inside the man who was looking for something earlier will tell you that he remembered what he was looking for but is scared to go get it because of monsters there. He says he left something in an old pot under a rock at the Edge of a Sea of Trees. Agree to help him and head out of the bar. Next stop is the refinery to talk to Paulette.

She will tell you that you have your first assignment and to go inside to talk to Banjo. He will tell you that he is worried about his buddy Butch who went to check some Dancing Shells at Plumb Canyon but hasn't returned. Agree to help him and make your way out. Grab any health or healing you need before leaving town. When you are ready head to any of the tasks that you wish to do. I started with the Scrappe Plateau first.

Enter the Scrappe Plateau and you will come across 4 of the thieves talking. After the cut scene the battle starts. Take out the Ring leader first and then have Maru use Venom arrow on the thugs to take them all out at once. After the rather easy battle, the leader will tell you he has no idea about any ring and gives you a stone bracelet. Head back to Yewbell and talk to Duncan and the woman to find out what was really going on. After the scene there, make your way to Plumb Canyon.

As you enter Plumb Canyon you will see A LOT of Dancing Shells around the area and Butch atop the walkway. Walk over to him and he will tell you that they have all gathered below for some unknown reason and that they need to be taken out. Make your way down to them and get your battle on. There are about 10 of the shells around and two red barrels on the field. You can use the barrels to your advantage to take out more than one shell at a time. If you happened to get poisoned which is very likely make sure you keep an eye on your health and Maru will tell you to use an antidote. After they are all taken care of, Butch will tell you that it seems the shells were attracted to the oil leaking from the machine. Turn the valve and the leak will stop and dry up. Leave Plumb Canyon and make your way to The Edge of a Sea of Trees to complete the last objective.

When you enter the area there are a few rocks spread out all over. Make your way over to the far right and check the rock there to find the old pot. When you pick it up, your party is suddenly ambushed by a large number of enemies. Nothing too serious and easy enough to deal with. Take them all out and make your way back to Yewbell with the pot.

When you enter Yewbell, head for the Bar and up to the man's room to give him the pot. He introduces himself as Span and thanks you for retrieving his dictionary. Read through the descriptions of the spirits for a good laugh. When you are ready to leave, Span will give you the pot which holds a stone holder inside. Have who ever you want equip it and head back downstairs. Make your way over to Zev at the bar and he will tell you about an airship that has crashed at Dragon Bone Valley. You get your party together and decide to go help out incase anyone is in need. Before you leave town, grab some healing and do some shopping to pick up some spirit stones and healing herbs.

When you leave town, you will notice three more places have opened on the world map. Isulo Forest, Punoir Ravine and the Dragon Bone Valley are all accessible now. Make your way to Dragon Bone Valley and chances are you will have a few battles to fight along the way. Eventually when you reach Dragon Bone Valley you will find a survivor of the crash named Lilia. After a scene some Drakyr's show up and a battle ensues. This battle is pretty easy if handled the right way. Lilia needs to stay alive and if she dies it's game over. She will start running over to the far left of the battle on her own. Send your party over to the Drakyr's there before she gets attacked. Take them out from the left to right to keep Lilia safe. After the battle make your way back to Yewbell.

When you cross Isulo Forest another scene starts and the Dilzweld army shows up. A stranger from the forest also appears and offers to give you a hand in dealing with them. You accept his offer and the battle start as Lilia takes cover. The battle is not overly difficult. Have Ganz work his way over to the bridge and give it a smack when he reaches it to stop reinforcements from crossing over. When the bridge is down, have Ganz attack everyone. He does the most damage and can take the guys out rather quickly. After the battle head up to his shack to talk to him while he fixes up Lilia. After you hear his history, leave his shack and head south to leave the area and head for Yewbell.

Once again, you enter the Scrappe Plateau before you reach Yewbell. Lilia starts being a brat about how she doesn't want to continue on with you and how she is putting you in danger. Maru is also upset that Ganz didn't join the party to help the battle against Deimos. After the scene, some more Dilzweld soldiers show up. It is another easy battle to win. After the battle the party is ambushed by a crap load of Dilzweld Soldiers and a Female commander walks out. After a lengthy discussion with her, she turns and tells the troops to kill you. As this happens you suddenly become charged with magic and destroy everybody as Tatjana runs away. The party discusses what might have happened and they wonder if the power is from the spirits. Make your way out of the Plateau and finally to Yewbell.

As you enter the dusk covered Yewbell Paulette takes off from the party. Go around town and talk to who ever you like. Get some healing done and stock up on herbs and stones. Now would also be a good time to check out what skills you can use now as well. When you are done your shopping and walking around, head to your house and talk to Lady Nafia. Her and the party will have quite the conversation and tells you that she wants you to accompany her to Cathena to talk to the World Council. After the conversation, you get some sleep which is quickly interrupted by Lady Nafia. She says that Lilia is missing and wants you to find her. Make your way to the Castle Ruins to find her playing some music. After another conversation that Paulette is eavesdropping on you return to the house and back to sleep.

When you awake in the morning, Lilia tells you that she will wait in the house to heal for a bit. Make your way around and talk to Nafia and the party waiting by the door. Paulette says that if they could fix the airship that Lilia crashed then they would have a way to get to Cathena. Make your way out of the house and down to the Defense Garrisons bar/inn. Talk to Zev and he will tell you that he has checked out the airship already and it only needs a control panel to be operational. He also says that the ruined airship at the Scrappe Plateau may have one.

If you noticed before when you were at the Scrappe Plateau that you couldn't operate the lever there since there was no battery to give it power. Also, if you had noticed earlier, there was a battery at Plumb Canyon on the machinery there. Instead of heading directly to the Scrappe Plateau first, make your way over to Plumb Canyon and get the battery. When you have it, and then make your way up to the Scrappe Plateau. Enter the Plateau and drop the battery into to empty holder on the left. When it is in, operate the Control Panel to raise the Airship. You can now reach the Control Parts. Walk over to where they are and grab them. The party will ask if they are going to head to Dragon Bone Canyon now, but Kharg says they are to go and pick up Lilia first.

Head back to Yewbell and to your house to get Lilia. Now that you are ready to go, make your way to the Dragon Bone Canyon. You will enter the Isulo Forest before you reach it and you'll notice the bridge is fixed. Cross it and you will be on your way to the canyon. When you enter, you will see someone in the distance at the airship. As you get closer you see it is Ganz and he offers to help you for an exchange. You give him a ride to Cathena and he will fix the airship for you. Since you're such a nice guy you agree.

Before you take off, talk to Ganz and he will tell you it will be a few more minutes. Lady Nafia then arrives and has a quick word with Kharg. When she leaves, go back in to the ship and talk to Ganz again. The ship is ready to go and you need to pick a destination on he controls where Paulette is standing. Pick Aldrow and the ship will take off. After another long scene between Lilia and Kharg, the ship crashes. When the party comes to, they see Lilia is missing and she left a note saying she has taken off. Well you can't have her running around by herself so after her you go.

Head out side the airship and you will be ambushed by a few Orcons. Take them out and head back into the airship to heal. When you are ready, head back out and down the tree limb to the left leading down. Keep following it along until you come to a group of Dilzweld soldiers. Destroy them and continue along the tree limb up and around to the air ship again. Heal yourself if you like inside and then continue back down along the limb to the left until you come to another group of Soldiers. This time around though there are a lot more and Tatjana shows up as well. After they exchange words a stranger named Samson shows up to save your skin.

His rag tag band of thieves drive away the Dilzweld soldiers and tells you to follow him to his place at Wilbur Shore. Two places open up on the map now, Wilbur Shore and Crossell Springs. As you enter Wilbur Shore, cross the large bridge over to the boat there. The guard on the bridge will ask what the password is as you cross. Pick any answer as there is no password and he will let you enter. Head down the stairs on the boat and talk to Samson. He tells you that he is waiting for word from his men on Lilia's whereabouts any minute now. After you finish talking to him, his fellow will enter and tell Samson that Lilia was last seen on her way to the Republic of Cathena. Since Samson refuses to join your party, make your way back outside and exit to the world map. Make your way to the Republic of Cathena that is now open on the map.

Make your way through the town of Cathena. Talk to the people and visit the shops. You can pick up some new weapon accessories here along with some new items as well. The healing nurse costs a bit more than in Yewbell and is located beside the shops. When you are ready make your way over to the Assembly Hall. Talk to the guard and he will let you inside. Once inside, go to the left and up the small stairs and around to the opening between the two guards. Once inside you will watch a long cut scene with the council and then you will realize that Samson tricked you. As you run out of the Hall, this chapter ends.

Darc: Ambition

Chapter 2

As Darc's second chapter starts, he is watching two Orcons battle. After a few words with Zoram, Zugalo enters and tell you that Delma is causing trouble in the dungeon. Make your way over to the stairs leading down to the dungeon to find Delma in a cell yelling at Zugalo. Talk to her and she will threaten you and tell you that you have changed. Make your way back up the stairs and leave the dungeon. Make your way back over to the other side of town and speak to the orcon by Gorma's trailer. He will ask you if you want to speak to Gorma and then tell you that he left to the Haystir Marsh to find some Firbles. Now that you use human weapons, you can buy weapons accessories at the Quorop shop. Stock up on what you need or what you can afford and go up the stairs to speak to the orcon near the exit. He will ask you if you know the church and will tell you he saw a firble egg there.

Leave Orcoth and go to the church to check up on your egg. When you enter the church and go to where the Firble nest is, you will see that there is one egg remaining. You call an Orcon to come and guard it with his life. Now with your firble egg safe, head to the Haystir marsh to find Gorma. When you find him, he will tell you that he is looking for a Firble since he thinks he knows how to turn them into Pyrons. He mentions three types of food that you need to feed them, although he doesn't know what they are. Leave the Marsh and make your way to Geedo's house.

Make your way up the stone stairs and into the house. Now that Geedo is dead you can open the chest that she had locked up tight. Inside will be some Phoenix Blood and a piece of an ancient tablet. When you look at the tablet, a shade who looks like a spirit will appear and ask you to find the rest of the pieces of the tablet so he can be at peace. You tell him that if you find them, you will give them to him and leave.

Make your way back to your town of Orcoth and into the arena. As you near the entrance an orcon will come out and tell you a Deimos has entered the arena and wiped everyone out. When you see him you will recognize him from earlier in the game when Lloyd wiped out his Wife and child. He will tell you his name is Volk and that he won't join you as you are weak. The battle ensues and he really isn't too tough at all. After you whup his butt, he will then join your party and follow you on your quest to be the leader of all Deimos. After the conversation leave the arena and make your way over to the dungeon where Zugalo and the Orcon are talking. He will tell you that Delma is acting strange and wants to talk to you.

Make your way down the stairs and have your conversation with her. She will join your party afterwards and Darc says that they still need more allies. Exit the dungeon and make your way up the stairs to exit the town. Talk to the Orcon there and he will tell you he saw a light in the sky crash into the Asheeda Forest. You assume it is humans so that's where you are off to. As you exit Orcoth, you will notice that along with Asheeda Forest there are two other places on the map now, The Befron Mountain Pass and the Mulmoth Meadows. Make your way to the Asheeda Forest to find the airship.

As you enter the Forest there will be a group of Dilzweld soldiers on the tree limbs. A fight will break out with them and as before with Kharg, they really aren't too difficult to defeat. When they are dealt with, head north to the air ship where there will be another group of them gathered. Take these guys out as well as they are no more difficult than the first group you faced. After these guys are toast, make your way south again and then to the right. You will come to another group of Dilzweld along with Tajana with them. When the battle starts, take her out first as she is the toughest of the bunch. When she is gone, she drops "a gorgeous ring" which when equipped makes enemies drop twice as much gold. After Tajana is taken care of, the rest are the same as usual. After the battle, Tajana takes off and Volk goes after her. Darc and Delma hear something in the bushes and see Lilia run past.

They chase after her to an area with a pond. Walk around the area and you will find her hiding behind a bush. After a cut scene Lilia will join you in your party. Make your way out of the area to outside. Follow the path to Asheeda Forest to pick up Volk back into your party. After the conversation, make your way back outside and on your way to Orcoth.

As you enter Orcoth, Delma is talking to the town. You tell Volk to watch Lilia as you make your way over to Delma. When she sees you, you take her to the arena to have a few words with her. After the conversation, you walk out to find Lilia surrounded by the town orcons. You tell Zugalo to take her to the dungeon and have some words with her there. She tells you about Kharg and how he has a piece of the light stone as well. Leave after she tells you what she has to say and make your way over to Gorma. He will tell you that there are no more Firble in the marsh and that it burns his ass because he found the three ingredients to feed the Firbles to turn them into Pyrons.

He says you need, Rebound fruit, which can be found in the Tindalo Woods, Phoenix blood, which you already have and finally a fire fragment which Gorma can make from a spirit stone. Head back to the church ruins to check on your egg and see how it is. When you enter the church ruins you will hear some chirping and realize it is a Firble. Run over to your egg to see that it has hatched. Now that you have a Firble again, go back to Orcoth and talk to Gorma again. Ask him about the fire fragment and he will get started on making it. Now all you need is the rebounding fruit from the Tindalo Woods.

Make your way there to get it. When you enter the woods you will be in a battle with some Crimson Rhokes. When the battle is over wit, it will tell you if you have gotten a Rebound Egg or not. I had to battle the Rhokes about 8 times before I finally got an egg and I leveled up twice as well. You can make your way back to Orcoth but Gorma won't have the fire fragment ready yet, so go over to the ruined church and feed the Phoenix Blood and the Rebound Fruit to the Firble. When you have fed them to it, then make your way back to Orcoth. Enter into Gorma's trailer and you will see that he is gone. If you ask around town, no one seems to know where he went. Talk to the dungeon keeper and he will sputter something about Gorma in the dungeon. Make your way down the stairs to see a gathering around Lilia's cell while she sings.

After you break it up and tell everyone to go on their way, you ask Gorma about the Fire Fragment. He says that he left it with the Quorop for you to pick up. Have a small chat with Lilia and then head up and out to grab the fragment. After you pay for it, make your way out and back to the Church Ruins to feed it to the Firble. After you do, return to Orcoth to see the townsfolk slaughtered all over the place. Enter the arena where Gorma and a few others are. They tell you that some humans came through to get Lilia and killed all the orcons on their way through. They said they came from Varam Barrens, so that is your next destination. Stock up on herbs and spirit stones and exit the town.

Enter the Varam Barrens and you will come across some Dilzwelds talking. The giant airship in the background is about to take off. They setup an Argewalt as Darc appears and the Soldiers run to the airship. Once the Argewalt opens up the battle begins. When fighting it, it will shoot out seeds that grow some plant monsters but you can just ignore them. They will disappear once the Argewalt is destroyed. When you are attacking the Argewalt, try to keep your distance a bit and use magic to destroy it. The Argewalt has a nasty confusion attack that can make things hectic. After you destroy it, the head that was in the middle starts to talk to you. You learn about the miracle stone that the Dilzweld were after and the labyrinth that it is in. Now that Camellia is in your party make your way back to Orcoth.

Head into the town and go over to Gorma's trailer. Talk to him and he will tell you that the Firble going to sleep is normal and that it is changing into a Pyron now. Head back out and to the Church Ruins to see your Pyron. Make your way to the right on the church to find the freaky looking Pyron. Talk to it and it will carry your party to Anenade. Now that you are on a new land, there are a few places that you can go to. The main one that you need to go to for now is the Coleopt Shrine, but for a town to stock up on supplies, hit Rueloon.

When you enter the Coleopt Shrine make your way to the far end where the army will threaten to attack if you go any farther. Go farther and get ready for a battle. There will be six Coleopt soldiers that start the battle with you. They have an attack, where if they hit you with the goo ball Coleopt attack it will decrease all your skills. You can only cure it with the Coleopt Froth that they will drop when you kill them. Enter the doorway and a tentacle will bust thro ugh the wall and tell you to go back where you came from. After it leaves you walk past it and down the steps to where some Dilzweld soldiers have gathered.

Take them out easily enough and continue into the next room. In here two soldiers will run towards a chest on the far wall, while Camellia is suddenly not feeling well and leaves the party. The rest of the party runs across the bridge as it falls away once on the other side. Camellia it seems has double- crossed you as she heads off to the real throne room. From the chest at the far wall a little girl named Bebedora awakens and takes over the two Dilzweld soldiers. Kill them and Bebedora sends two more creatures after you. This time around instead of wimpy humans, it is two large Skull Warriors. They aren't the toughest around to defeat but hey do hand out some pretty hefty damage from their attacks. Use magical attacks on them to take them out the fastest.

After the battle is over, Bebedora has a short conversation with Darc about his soul and tells him how to leave the area. She tells you to push a stone on the left wall to exit. Run over and push it and the water below you will drain away. As you return to your party, she is out of her chest and is ready to join the party. Head down the stairs at the button you pressed to lower the water and there will be a chest there. Open it to receive some gold, stones and a Black Rose Thorn. Head back up the stairs and make your way over to the right side of the room. Make your way up and down the stairs on the far side to come to another chest on your left. Inside will be a lot of stones, an aquamarine and a few Water Balms. Continue along the pathway and around the corner where a piece of brown stone will be on the ground. Pick it up and it is Part of the Ancient Stone number 4. Continue straight across to another chest that holds a few more goodies inside. Backtrack around to the large doorway that is beside the save point and head through.

In this room you will be greeted by Camellia and the tentacles of the Selkis that is attacking her. The room is lined with eggs of the Selkis that have her army inside. Thankfully she only hatches four to guard her. The Tentacles however, cough up a lot of eggs that will either contain a soldier or a larva fly. If it is a larva fly you can use Bebedora to take control of it. Only have her take control of two at one time though. During the battle, concentrate on the tentacles the most. Take out all four tentacles and the creatures that they spawned before attempting to take out Selkis. During the battle try to keep people together for the ease of having Camellia use her group heal spell to fix everyone right up. When everyone is dead except for Selkis and her 4 guards, make your way up to her and try to take out as many guards with group spells as you can. If you get too close to Selkis, she will put you to sleep or use some pretty heavy spells on you. Have Bebedora stay back a bit and use her blackout spell to cause Selkis some pretty good damage herself.

When the room is cleared of enemies, a cut scene will start and Darc will get the Water Spirit stone. The party will have a conversation with each other about each other and the chapter will end.

Kharg: Conflict

Chapter 3

As Kharg's chapter starts you are back in the Assembly Hall in Cathena. As the delegates discuss what they need from you, Savina separates herself and calls you into her chambers. After a long scene you find out that the Dilzweld are heading to Epistia to find the Fire Stone that is among the volcanoes there. As you prepare to leave the Hall, Savina will tell you to look for a man named Spencer in Epistia who will be able to help you. After the conversation, head around to the room on the far right and grab the spirit Dictionary 2 off the table for Span who was collecting them. Head back out and save your game before exiting the Hall. You will run into Ganz just out side the Hall as he is leaning over the railing. Talk to him and he will say he has some in for about his friend at the arena that he needs to check on. He'll join the party and make your way to the arena.

When you enter, talk to the mercenary inside the entrance and he will tell you that your friend was killed by some Deimos near Orcoth. He was killed by Darc to be exact if you recall the Church Ruins battle. After the conversation, Ganz decides that he will accompany Kharg to Sulfas in Epistia and will hold off on his revenge for now. Exit the city and make your over to Big Owl that is to the east of the city. When you are inside, use the controls and pick Epistia on the map to travel there.

When you arrive, there will be three open spots on the map. Sulfas, Kassim Highway and the Torey Hills. Make your way to Sulfas and you will be stopped at the Kassim Highway. It seems the Dilzweld army has a check point set up and you will need to answer a few questions before being allowed to pass. For the first few questions I answered from Ragnoth, that we were mercenaries and that Spencer is an enemy of the Dilzweld. As you pass through they will ask one last question. The answer is the last option, Darkham Ekid Na Bard. When you do, you are free to leave and enter Sulfas.

Upon entering Sulfas, a regiment of guards will be heading back to the Kassim Highway. Make your way over to the Item shop at the top of the screen to see a guard talking to Leonora who runs it. After their chat, leave and continue walking around talking to people. When you enter the pub, talk to the owner and he will play coy about who Spencer is. Make your way back to the shop and you will tell the guard you saw Leonora's husband back on the Kassim Highway. When the guard leaves, Leonora will tell you a password to find her husband Jaqual. Go directly south from the shop to the man standing behind a building. He is Jaqual and he will sell you stones or items if you choose. Talk to him and he will tell you the resistance in the secret casino under the pub. Make your way over to the pub and enter it.

Once in side, talk to the owner and he will tell you a riddle to gain access to the casino hideout. It is a rather tricky clue, so just walk over to the 10 rules of the bar and read number seven. There is a button there to press and when you do the entrance is revealed. Make your way down the stairs and talk to General Spencer. When you do, you will come across your old buddy Zev in the corner. Go and talk to him and everyone will learn what the Dilzweld are up to on the mountain. You make a plan with Spencer to take back the city and then you will be able to attack the mountain. You need to head to The Viorav Mine and then the Parenz Ruins to stop the soldiers from regrouping. Head out of the pub and out of the city to the Kassim Highway.

When you are on your way to the two destinations, you will need to stop at the Kassim Highway. Here there will be 12 Dilzweld soldiers to take out. Use as many group attacks as you can. Ganz Rolling axe and Maru's venom arrow are perfect for taking out multiple enemies at once. After the battle heal up and head on over to one of the destinations. Either one is fine to start with. After both are clear of enemies make your way back to Sulfas. When you enter the city, make your way north and enter the doors to the planet that are now open. After another pretty easy battle, the Dilzweld will be driven from the city. Now you can buy weapons accessories from the stores and items too. Make your way back to the pub and talk to the general. After a conversation, his men storm off to the mountain strong hold to attack it themselves.

Exit the city and make your way to the mountain strong hold on the map. Chances are you will have a fight a Routh Woods but continue on. When you reach the stronghold, Ganz will tell you that the cannons are indestructible so don't even bother trying to hit them. There are three resistance fighter spread out in the battle area. You need to go up to each of them to rescue them. There are two in the center area and one to the far left near the cannon. To start the battle, stay on the dirt area so the cannons will not fire at you. Take out all the soldiers and guns that come at you. When no more are left, send up Paulette and Maru since they can move the farthest and can heal themselves pretty good. Once the last resistance fighter is grabbed the battle ends so you don't have to worry about getting back out past the cannons as well. After the battle make your way back to Sulfas.

Head into the pub and down the stairs to talk to the general. He will congratulate you and then devise a plan to attack the large cannons. Meet him over at the main plant to discuss the plans with him and so he can show you the new weapon. Head over to the Main Plant and enter the doorway on the left side. Continue through until you reach the general in the center. After another conversation you learn that to operate the Tele-Op you need to gather three objects from the Parenz Ruins and some spirit stones from the Viorav Mines. Head to the ruins and walk around the area to the lighted junk piles. If you didn't look around last time you were here, go to the radio, the microwave and the computer to get the parts you need. When you go to leave the area, three ninjas will show up telling you to give back what you took. These three are very easy to defeat. Do so and make your way to the Viorav Mines.

Make your way across the cavern to the large platform. Ride it down to an open room with a few Stun Smogs in it. Take them out and make your way up the ramp. Press the plunger at the top of the smaller gray ramp to set off an explosion that will drop spirits stones down to the ground. After you pick them up make your way back to Sulfas. Return to the Main Planet area where the general and his mechanics were working on the Owl. Give them the goods and they will install everything for you. Head out and stock up on herbs and healing and save your game while you're at it. When you are ready, head to the Mountain Stronghold for the second time.

When you enter the Mountain Stronghold you will see that is set up exactly as it was the first time. Take out the guys that charge at you on the dirt area. Have Kharg control the Owl beams by using his special moves and blowing up each cannon. After all the enemies are taken out, head up the stairs on the left side of the area and enter the door way at the top. Follow the catwalk down until you reach an area with Dilzweld soldiers that surround you. Fight them and defeat them to have the officer tell you the stone is located below and is guarded by Deimos. Afterwards Zev shows up and tell you to get a move on.

Head for the elevator and go down to a lava flowing room. Follow the path along to two treasure chests and another elevator on the right. Enter the elevator to go down another level. When you step out you will be attacked by dragons and fire elementals. Te dragons do the most damage but of course you can handle it right? After you defeat those head to the next elevator and take it down to another lava filled room. Follow the pathways around to find a treasure chest. Take the elevator and you will come to another battle with some more Deimos. Fight them and then continue to another elevator. Step off it and make your way to the right side of the room where you will come to a save point. Save and continue along the wooden path to the doorway on the right.

When you enter the cavern, you see three large Deimos brothers who ready to battle the Dilzweld soldiers and Tatjana. The soldiers run away and leave Tatjana in the center. Being the hero that Kharg is he and the party jump in to save her. When you are attacking the brothers you would be wise to attack them one at a time and have everyone gang up on him. They are tough to bring down and do some hefty damage themselves. Keep attacking them using your special attacks and Big Owl. You will take some heavy damage from these guys so make sure you stay healed as well. Tatjana will fight on your side but she won't be in your party.

After the long battle, when you finally kick their asses the long chapter ending scene starts. Darkham will show up and take the Fire Stone from you and leave you all including Tatjana in the cavern. Go and talk to Ganz and he will say that he hears an engine. When he does, Samson and his thieves will drop down a ladder to help you escape. Afterwards a short scene will play between Darkham and a mystery man who looks a lot like Zev. When they have finished talking the chapter ends.

Darc: Love and Hate

Chapter 3

As the chapter start a short scene is played where Camellia is still begging for Darc's forgiveness. The party splits up afterwards and each person goes on their own way. Head up and to the left to enter the bar and statue area where the save point and Camellia is roaming about. Here you can get healed and save before talking to the Deimos in the corner to get some sleep. Hen you do, he will give you a room and the party goes to sleep. During the night Darc will awaken to find the water stone and Camellia missing. Make your way out of the bar/inn and head to the north into the arena.

Her you will come across Camellia with the water stone trying to make herself look younger. As she does, some Drakyr fly in. As the battle starts the leader of the group Droguza is the toughest of the bunch. Have everyone gang up on him to start with until he is dead and then work on the other lesser Drakyrs. After the battle head out of the arena and talk to Bebedora who will tell you that Volk went down the alley way to her left. Walk down there and grab the Ancient Tablet off the ground before turning the corner. Talk to Volk for a short conversation. When you are done head back to the inn/bar and take a rest. When you awaken the party makes a plan to go to Ragnoth.

Stock up on supplies, heal and save your game and then head for your Pyron. Hop aboard and fly on over to Ragnoth. Once you arrive there, Make your way up to the city of Drakyrnia. Make your way to the right and enter the doorway there to the shops. Buy any accessories you like and pick up the ancient tablet stone on the ground near the save point. When you are done continue along to the right and follow the path and stairs up to Sagen who seems to know you. He will tell you to talk to Williwo who is in the door way at the top of the stairs. After a conversation with him, you learn that if you go to Dragon Bone Valley and retrieve the Dragon Master Crown, you will be the king of Deimos and Williwo will tell you were Droguza is.

So off you go to Dragon Bone Valley. When you get there you will have a lot of Dilzweld soldiers and dogs to deal with. After the rather simple battle, head around to the pathway to the cave entrance. On the right, before you reach the cave will be another piece of the ancient Tablet. They're just everywhere aren't they? Pick it up and make your way into the cave alone. When you are inside, head to the far end and up the stairs past the dragon statues to grab the crown. When you do head back out and the statues come to life. To defeat these guys, use gun powder on the blue one and an Aquamarine on the gold one. Also be sure to attack them from the side of rear if you can. It seems to do a lot more damage to them. Work on one and then take out the other. When you are finished you will get a quick conversation from the dragon soul. Head back to Drakyrnia when they are done the chatting.

When you reach Drakyrnia, Darc says that he wishes to go talk to Williwo alone and the party disbands as you go. Enter and talk to Williwo and learn that Droguza is at Thunor Point and that he is in cahoots with the Dilzweld army. Also Williwo will tell you about your past, your mother and your twin brother Kharg. After the conversation make your way back out and regroup with your party. Stock up and save and make your way to Thunor Point.

Along the way you will stop at the Vayu dam Ruins and find Dilzweld soldiers working with Deimos to form a blockade. A battle will break out but it is nothing much. After you defeat them and talk to a Drakyr, some more Dilzweld soldiers rush in for you to battle. Take them out as easily as the first batch and continue through to Thunor Point. When you enter you will have to do battle with some more Dilzweld soldiers and Dorguza again. Hammer Dorguza with everything you have as he is a pretty tough customer. When you have finally defeated him and his soldiers he will take off and more soldiers arrive.

Your party will tell you to get the Stone from the Megis while they hold back the soldiers. Once inside you will see three doors along the far wall. The first two doors hold treasure chests while the last will be locked. Darc will climb through a vent to enter the room and finally meet his mother Lady Nafia. While they talk, the alarm goes off and you need to escape. Make your way to the exit and you will run into two soldiers. Take them out easily enough and afterwards Nafia will save Darc from being shot. After the short scene you need to get to Yewbell. Follow the map all the way to the bottom and fight the few battles you will no doubt have on the way. When you get to Yewbell, head for Kharg's house and sit back to watch the chapter ending scene.

Kharg: Rage

Chapter 4

When the chapter starts, the party is celebrating in the pub. The general will have some words with you and then let you go on your own. Walk around and talk to everyone before going down the stairs to talk to Tatjana. When you do, two resistance fighters will be ready to kill her. Walk over to her and a short scene with play. The two of you will be interrupted by the General who says that Samson wants a word with you. Head up there and he will tell you that he can't find Buster and Boomer. Make your way out of the pub and find where they are. Boomer will be in the main planet at the far end on the right side. After you talk to him, go find Buster who will be down behind the building where Jaqual was earlier. When you have talked to both of them, make your way back to the pub.

After another conversation with Samson, leave and head for the exit out of the city. The general will run up to you before you exit and tell you that he is taking Tatjana to prison in Cathena. You allow her to join the party and are off to find a wireless radio in the mountain stronghold to find out what Darkham is up to. Stock up on herbs, health and save your game before heading over. When you reach the stronghold, make your way up the stairs on the left and inside the door at the top. Follow the catwalk until you come to a red light on the right wall. Activate the control panel there and an elevator will rise.

Hop on it and take it down to a lower level. Down here, go to the left to a cart with a red light on it. Activate it and it is the wireless radio. Listen to the static and you will pick up a few words. After the conversation with your party, go to the left of the room to a treasure chest and another spirit dictionary. Make your way outside and Zev will run up to you to tell you about Yewbell. Go all the way back to Big Owl and hop aboard to fly back to Ragnoth and Yewbell.

When you reach Yewbell, make your way around the town and notice that everyone pretty much runs away from you. Head into your house and have a short conversation with Paulette. When you are done there, leave and head into the church ruins and head to the left to find Lady Nafia's grave. After a rather long cut scene, you appear on the Scrappe Plateau and the chapter ends.

Darc: Reunion

Chapter 4

As this chapter starts Darc-less, the gang wants to know where Darc went to have them run up and speak with Williwo. He will tell them the history of Darc and his family. After you leave the gang will mull around wondering where Darc could have gone. Delma figures it was Yewbell and that's where you're off to. When you land make your way to Yewbell but you will stop short at the Chaos Forest. After a discussion Bebedora is decided to be the spy in Yewbell to look for Darc. Head to the left side of the Chaos Forest and grab the piece of the ancient tablet off the ground before you exit. Enter the church ruins and enter Yewbell.

When you are in Yewbell, head for Kharg's house and have an amusing chat with Paulette. When she leaves, you can walk around and talk to the townsfolk, but you will need to enter the bar/inn and talk to Paulette again. When you do, she will run out the door in a hurry. Make your way up to the church ruins for another conversation with Maru. After the chat, Kharg's gang heads off into the Chaos Forest to deal with the Deimos that has appeared. When they arrive, the remnants of Darc's party will have a battle with some human mercenaries. The battle is pretty easy as long as you use a few magic attacks. After the fight, Paulette and the rest of Kharg's party show up for a showdown. After the cut scene the chapter ends uneventfully.

Kharg: Truth

Chapter 5

The chapter begins with Kharg aboard the Fiona with Samson and his crew. They are on course to Cragh Island to find the Cave of truth. As they approach the island Samson and Kharg have a chat as Kharg reveals himself to Samson. Afterwards when the Fiona has landed, walk around the ship and talk to each member. Samson will join you on your quest on the island. Head outside and make your way towards the Slothian Village. You will more then likely have a battle at the Forest of the Hidden Ship and you will stop short at the beach. Here will be two Slothians that are taking a nap on the beach. Talk to them and head for the village.

Once in the village, walk around and talk to everyone you see. When you talk to the Slothian on the dock he will tell you to go and talk to the Elders on the hill to find out more about the cave of truth. Head up the path way to the left and over to the flat plateau with all the sleeping Slothians. Wake them up one by one and each will tell you a bit of the story. When they fall asleep, move to the next one until you finally learn where the cave of truth is. When you find out, exit the hill and leave the Slothian Village to head for the cave.

When you enter, you will find Lilia and Darc surrounded by a bunch of Evil eyes. Join the battle to help Darc destroy them all. Afterwards Darc and kharg will have a heart to heart conversation about Lady Nafia. When all is said and done Lilia and Darc will join your party to search for the answers in the cave. Head through the small cave entrance and you will enter a large cavern. On the wall will be a stone that when activated will send out spirit servants. When they are defeated, little white spirits will come through the opening on the wall. Talk to each spirit to learn more about what is going on. Head through all thee caverns and activate all of the stones and defeat all of the spirit servants. When all of the white spirits have been talked to, a stone in the first room will have some glowing symbols on it.

Activate the stone there and Darc and Kharg will engage in another conversation. When they are done talking, make your way through the opening and up the steps to talk to the Spirit of Hope. He fills you in on the details of Lady Nafia and Windalf and all that they were trying to accomplish. Afterwards you will be back in the village. Stock up on whatever you need and save your game if you like. From here walk around and find Lilia and Samson by the dock. After Lilia plays her song, she and Samson have a little chat. After Lilia leaves, run up to Samson and ask him what's going on. When you are done talking, make your way to the hill of the elders to have a chat and more with Darc.

After a long scene, Samson will show up to announce that the Dilzweld have landed at the eastern shore. Leave the village and head for the beach to kick some Dilzweld ass. There are only a few Dilzweld and they really aren't that tough. After the short battle, a boy runs to the beach and says that the village is under attack. Head back to the village and up to the Elder Hill for another battle with the Dilzweld. This battle is no more difficult than the last so mop the floor with them. After the battle a scene will play and the elders are cremated for their funeral procession. When you can move again, head down to the lower part of the village and talk to Samson. After the scene the chapter ends and you can save your game.

Darc: Evolution

Chapter 5

As Darc is strolling along the beach, he sees the Pyron fly by and his friends arrive. After a scene, Camellia tells them that they can get to the Dilzweld army by entering at the Kanara desert on Halshinne. When your party is back together, exit the beach and make your way to the Pyron. Hop on and head for Halshinne. When you land there, make your way up to the refugee city of Barbadoth.

When you enter the city, go to the building at the far end and go through the opening there. When inside walk around and talk to everyone in there and you will learn of the desert and the tribes that used to occupy it. When you have talked to everyone, head back outside and near the entrance of the city. Go to the right of the line up and talk to the mummy lying on the ground. He will tell you a short story and then tell you to speak with Fustart inside the store area where you just were. Enter the area again and talk to the mummy on the far right that is lying down. He will tell you about the two flutes of the Saryu Tribe that you need to retrieve from the Pyramid ruins. Save and stock up and make your way out of the city and on to the ruins.

Head to the Pyramid Ruins and make your way up the stairs to the doorway at the top. Follow the path to the left and up two more flights of stairs to where you will come across another and the final piece of the ancient tablet. Now that you have 7 of them, you can head back to Barbadoth and give them to Kirjath who is waiting to the left of the store building at the back. When you give him all the tablets he will drop a goddess statue for you to use. Head back to the pyramid and continue where you were.

Head along to the left and out the door there. Go up the stairs and enter the pyramid again until you come to a stone block with a red button. Press it and a stone will drop allowing you to pass on the other side of where you were. Head back out and down the stairs and across the dropped stone. Go outside and across the bride to another large indoor area. Follow the walkway over to another stone with a red button on it. Press it and another stone will fall to fill in another gap. Head to the right and down the stairs to another set that go up and lead outside.

Open the chest there and press the green button to drop another stone on the inside. Go back in and up the stair towards where the last block fell. Go through the door way on the right and it will lead to a "suspicious" button that when pressed will light up a circle beside a stone door in the main room. Inside another doorway near the button will be a chest that contains ivy thorns for Darc to equip. Make your way back into the pyramid and follow the pathway across the top and over the bridge until you go through the pyramid and are outside again. Follow around the wall until you come to the second "suspicious" button. Press it and the stone door will open in the first room.

Make your way back inside and back to the beginning of the Pyramid to the now open door. Enter the doorway and you will come into a large room. At the far end will be the flutes that you are after but it isn't that easy. When you grab them, the crypts along each side will open and the mummies inside come out to party. The battle can look somewhat intimidating, but they aren't all that tough and they don't move far at a time. Take them out one at a time and you shouldn't have any trouble with them. When they are returned to dust, make your way back to Barbadoth.

Do the shopping, healing and saving and then set out for Kanara Desert. When you enter the desert, Darc pulls out the flute and plays a tune to stop the sandstorm. Walk to the edge of the screen to enter the desert. Going through the desert can be a pain in the ass since you can get lost pretty easily. Also there are whirlpool type sand pits that you can jump into to be taken to another area. Go forward and then to the right to a sand pool. Hop in it and make your way up and right again. Head to the left and around the sand pool to another one at the top left. There you will see a lot of ruins and broken stones. Head up and to the right and you will make it to the outside.

Next stop is the Maluise Tower. Walk your way into it and Delma will tell you to shut up as she hears something. The party hides as Droguza lands at the tower. After a short scene, you are spotted and the battle begins. Droguza is one tough customer this time around and you are really going to want to have Camellia as your healing back up. Have Bebedora try to take over some of the snipers as well. Take out the soldiers quickly and then turn your attention to Droguza. Keep hammering him and healing and you will get through the battle ok. When he is defeated, go through another scene and then make your way out to the Azer Springs. The Azer Springs is a secret Quorup town that is full of Quorups and stores. You can stock up on your stuff there and save your game before heading to the Megist Airship.

When you enter the Airship, you will be greeted by a large group of Dilzweld soldiers and the mechanical guns. Take them out one by one and have Bebedora control one or two to make the battle a little easier. After they are defeated, head inside the Megist and watch the small scene. From here you can head up the stairs or go straight to the cell where Nafia was held earlier to save your game. Save and then head back and up the stairs. Atop them will be some more Dilzweld waiting for you. Take out the guns first and then the soldiers that were hiding behind them. After the battle, since the elevator is now out of service, head to the left and through the door there to a set of stairs. Head on up to meet another group of Dilzweld soldiers that are surprised by your appearance in their control room. Take them out as easily as the previous battles. When they are no more, find the control panel on the far right with the flashing red light. Activate it and the elevator from the area below will now be functional,

Back down the stairs you go to the main area you were in previously. When you enter, two new Deimos will exit the elevator and a few Dilzweld soldiers will join them. These new Deimos are nothing tough so take them out just as easily as the soldiers. When you defeat them, enter the elevator and take a ride up. Exit the elevator and take a look around the room. There are a few windows showing experiments on some Deimos and it isn't pretty. Save your game using the save point in the left corner and enter the door there. Inside will be a red light to activate that will bring the floor up in front of the doors in the other room. When you turn around to leave there will be four of the new altered Deimos there. Kill them and head into the main room again.

From here, head to the doorway on the right and enter the room there. Inside will be a Dilzweld performing an experiment. Afterwards you have to fight it and its friends. Nothing tough, again, and easily enough to handle. Afterwards, Camellia will want to jump in the irradiator and try to return to her original form. Press the red flashing button at the back of the room. After the scene passes and the old hag is gone, you are back on your way to find Darkham and Droguza. Grab the red key card on the table to the left of the pit and make your way back out to the main room. Head for the center door and use the card to enter.

Once inside the room a scene will play between Darkham and Droguza. Droguza will hop inside a machine to become the ultimate Deimos and you have to stop him. When the battle starts there will be guns at each capsule tower thing that you need to destroy. Make your way around the room destroying the guns and tubes but try not to use a lot of magic if you don't have a lot of stones. There is one hell of a battle coming up. When you have destroyed each tower, Droguza will emerge from the chamber but he won't be the full Ultimate Deimos, but damn well close enough.

The battle with Droguza can be a long and hard battle. He will hit you hard and hit you often. He seems to counter act to everything you hit him with and it gets very annoying. Keep pounding him with all of your most powerful attacks and have Darc cast Raise Spirits on your party a lot to get the tensions up for double attacks. My party was pretty strong and at about level 23 when I fought him and only Volk was still alive and he killed Droguza with one hit point left. After the battle, have a talk with Droguza and the chapter will end.

Kharg: Rivalry

Chapter 6

As the chapter starts you have a conversation with Samson and he decides it's time to go his own way. Walk around town and talk to the people to see that they are strangely enough, happy to see you again. Make your way around to the church ruins to find Maru. He will have a few words with you and tell you what's going on. When you are done with him, head to the left and talk to Paulette at Nafia's grave. After a tearful reunion, your party is of to Thunor Point to get Ganz and Tatjana. Make your way all the way up there, fighting the battles that you get sucked in to. When you reach Thunor Point, have a few words with the rest of your party as they join you. Next stop is the Big Owl all the way down at the bottom of the map.

When you finally reach it, activate the control panel and head for Halshinne. As the Big Owl lands, get the party ready to head through the Lusah Forest and on to Mt. Lambda. Fight the battle at Lusha Forest and enter the temple at Mt. Lamda after Tatjana's little talk. When you are inside, head to the back of the courtyard and talk to the priest on the stairs. When he asks if you are there to train, say no and he will ask why you are there. After the long conversation, make your way back out of the temple and Tatjana will tell you about the library at Peisus where you may be able to find the Lamda Sutra

Once you reach Peisus, talk to the librarian directly in front of you and he will tell you that you need to find the Lamda Sutra on your own. Enter the book area and the party will split up to look around for it. If you head to the back of the room there will be a scroll on the wall and a dragon on either side with sockets where the eyes should be. Make your way back into the previous room with the displays. On each side of the room will be a dragon with a jewel for an eye. Take each jewel and return to the eyeless dragons. Place the red jewel on the left and the blue on the right to open the wall revealing a new room.

Enter the room and read the middle scroll to get the Lamda Sutra. Exit the room and the party will gather except for Maru. Head in to the display room and Maru will be sort of talking to an old man. Talk to the old man and a scene will play out about a translator in the town of Milmarna. That is your next destination and can be a tough time getting there. Keep your health up during the battles through Nien Forest and The Forest of Sorrows, using retreat if you feel like it.

Enter Milmarna and Maru will kind of freak out and ask if it's ok if he wanders around. Kharg lets him and you are free to wander yourself. Do what you like around the city but eventually make your way to the right and the fancy looking building to find the appraisers. When you find the appraisers in their circular booth, go to the left of them to grab the 5th Spirit dictionary off a barrel. Talk to them and they will tell you that you need to talk to Rosanna. Head up the stairs near the appraisers and the guard there will tell you only royalty gets through. Maru shows up and claims to be the prince. After a few more scenes, make your way back to the appraiser and they will decipher the scroll for you. They tell you to come back as it will take some time.

Make your way back up the stairs where the guard was and enter the doorway there. Once inside Maru will have a talk with everyone gathered. A long scene will play and Maru will take off to think about all that has been dropped on him. Talk to Rosanna and Foh to learn about Maru's history and then head out and go back to the appraiser to find out about the scroll. They will have it deciphered and there isn't much to it at all. Head back over to the left to grab Maru and another scene will play out. Afterwards, make you way to the docks where Foh is about to get into a boat. They have a talk and then you are on your way back to Mt. Lamda.

When you enter, return to the Priest at the back of the courtyard and he will ask you if you have found the meaning of Lamda Sutra. Tell him it is the clearing of ones mind and you will need to do battle. The first battle isn't as tough as you have your whole party to defeat only a few monks, but the second battle is much more difficult as you only have Maru in the party to battle six more monks. This battle can be very difficult to start with but it gets easier each time you defeat a monk. Try to stay as far way from the monks as possible and only attack one at a time. Each time you kill one, rest up until you are fully healed and go and lure another monk out to play. When you have killed all six, the priest will open the door to Mt. Lamda and allow you to enter. He tells you that the monsters in the mountain have been using gas to cause hallucinations in the travelers so they get lost and die.

Head to the door on the left and enter the mountain. If you like, go to Big Owl first and save the game so you don't have to do that monk fight over again if something happens. Head through the doors and along the path. Almost immediately there will be a chest above you. Grab the goods and continue along the path until a group of pretty small Ogres attack. Kill them and continue along the path until you come to two more chests. A little bit past them will be another group of Ogres like you just fought. Defeat them and you will eventually come to the cloud of gas that the priest was talking about. As you enter the fog, Maru will be the only one who still sees the mountain as we see Yewbell. Upon entering Yewbell and gang of zombies will appear ready to rumble. Use any light attacks you have on them for maximum damage. After they are dead, Maru will tell you that the ring of light is the way out.

Make your way down the stairs to the cabin on the right to find an arc of light at the door way. Enter it and you will be taken to a very foggy Plumb Canyon. Make your way down the catwalks to the large area to run into some more zombies. Kill them and the Warlocks that accompany them. After the battle, go to the left through another ring of light. This time you will appear in the Asheeda forest where you originally landed in Big Owl. Head to the left and down the limb to another ring of light and of course another group of baddies. Take them out and through the ring of light you go.

This time you will appear in the Parenz Ruins where you picked up the scrap parts for the Tele-op remote for Big Owl. Kill the mechanical dolls in here and head through another ring of light. Now you will arrive on the Scrappe Plateau for one more trip through the ring of light. Kill the enemies here and head through the arc to finally exit the mountain. Save your game and head for the outside world. Make your way to The Eastern Fortress where the Fiona has crashed. Walk through the area and talk to Boomer and Buster and they will explain what has happened with Samson. After the conversation you're on your way to the Dilzweld Empire.

Make your way around the town and do your usual shopping, heal and save. Talk to the people you choose but you will need to talk to the group of three soldiers that are in front of a blockade at the top of the town. The will tell you that Darkham is off to the Maluise Tower to fight the attacking Deimos. When you are done your shopping, make your way out of the city and towards the tower. As you enter you find Samson leaning against the wall. Listen to his story and then enter the tower. Make your way to the left to grab a chest there and then to the right and up some stairs to your first battle. The mechanical robots in here can be tough but eventually you will beat them. Keep heading up the stairs to find more chests and more fights.

When you reach the third and final floor, take out the robots and grab the good from the chest as before. Save your game this time before heading down the path and into the small area to meet up with Darkham and his guards. When the battle starts have your party start to work on the guards and ignore Darkham for the time being. Have Kharg raise spirits as you will definitely need the tension double attacks to take all of these guys out. The guards are very tough and hand out a lot of damage as well. Keep Tatjana back to heal when necessary and go to work on them one at a time. When you finally get each guard killed, start to hack away at Darkham. Again use the raise spirits and keep him surrounded. Also use Big Own if you have it recharged for some hefty damage as well. If you are having a lot of trouble defeating these guys then make your way back out of the tower and do some fighting to level up or buy some extra equipment in the Dilzweld town.

The Final Battle

The last chapter

As the last chapter starts, Darc and his party show up and a conversation and battle breaks out. At this point you are given a choice of which side you want to fight on. I picked the humans since I recall Kharg was a higher level then Darc was. Take out a few of Darc's party members and the battle becomes much easier. There is no real trick to beating them other than taking them out one at a time and using the double attack method. After the battle is won, the mysterious stranger appears and is revealed in his true form. After a long conversation you are on your way to the flying castle. Make a stop back in town if you need to restock on health and stones, but if not then save at the save point and make your way out of the tower. Head to the right and through the gate fence to reach the Castle. When you enter it will tell you that you won't be able to exit.

When Kharg enters the castle you will now control Darc and are back on top of the tower where you had your ass handed to you. After a discussion with your party, head back down the tower and out to the Azer Spring if you need to restock on health and stones. If not, then head to the Flying castle the same as you did with Kharg. When you enter it will tell you the same thing about not being able to exit once inside. After you enter, you will run into Kharg and his crew as the flying castle starts to fly. After the short scene the parties are jumbled together as kharg's party now contain Delma and Volk and Maru and Tatjana are missing. As the bickering continues between party members some baddies show up for a fight.

Take them out as they really aren't the toughest bunch around. When they are done for, head through the door way on the right to enter another battle. This time it is a little tougher but no where near very difficult. After they are defeated make your way across the stone step bridge to a crystal stone in the corner. Press it and it will glow and show you a stone platform in the next room move over. Make your way around the corner and through the door way to see where the stone platform was that moved. Continue along the pathway to the left to reach another crystal stone. Activate it and the last stone platform will move to complete the bridge. Cross over it into the doorway for another battle with a group of evil eyes. When you are finished with them, continue through the room to the elevator at the far end. Hop on take it up to the next platform. Climb the stairs to the large door and a scene will play.

Now you are back with Darc and the mixed party that now includes Maru and Tatjana. A battle breaks out with some mechanical enemies as they are bitching and whining at each other. Take out the robots and you will see a doorway to the left, right, south and the elevator to the north that isn't working yet. Head left and enter the doorway there. Fight the cannons in here and activate the stone to the far left when you beat them. Head back out and head for the room to the south. In here you will battle some more Dark Dwellers and evil eyes. Activate the stone and head back out to the final room on the right. Take out the mechanical guards in here and activate the crystal at the far end of the room. Make your way back out to the main room and hop on the elevator. When you reach the top, Bebedora has a little fit and tells you to follow her. Save your game and hop on the elevator.

When you enter the room at the top you are told it is a monster box that is used to get rid of intruders. Bebedora has turned on your and now controls two very large White Altima dragons. The dragons aren't really as dangerous as they look but they can get on your nerves. They will fly from platform to platform and have a very long range on their magic attacks. What I did was have the part surround the platform to the right and not have them move from there. When a dragon landed there I hit it for some heavy damage and when it wasn't around, I had time to heal and cast raise spirits. When one dragon was dead, I still stayed there and waited for the other one.

After both dragons are dead, you need to take on Bebedora. She has hardly any health but when you hit her she will die and reappear else where in the room. You will need to hit her about seven times until she stays down. Afterwards a short scene plays and Bebedora will be ok and back in your party. Hop in the elevator and take a ride down to where you previously were. Save your game and hop on the next elevator. Make your way up the stairs and you will come to Kharg's party. After a long scene the two parties are merged and on there way. Continue down the walkway and you will come to two Quorops selling accessories and healing. Stock up on what you need and heal. Continue to the next elevator and ride it to the room above.

From here you can go either left, right or straight. Going straight will eventually take you to a dead end but contains 5 orb type treasure chests that hold a lot of goodies including an Angel Statue that protects from instant death. From the main room go to the right and then north to another elevator. Go down the walkway and into the next room. Follow it around to the right and a battle will begin in the next room. After the battle continue through the room and through the doorway and along the walkway until you reach an elevator and a save point. Save the game and then head on up the elevator. Since you were just on the Water Floor, from the surroundings I would say it is safe to assume that this is the Fire Floor. Change your equipment accordingly. Make your way down the walkway to the doorway and a battle. After the battle, hop on the elevator to the south and ride on up to the next level. In the room you enter will be two orb chests that contain some light attack resistances and weapons for Volk and Delma. Continue to the left to a battle.

Fight the baddies and continue on to the next room which will contain two more orb chests. Grab the goods which include a life ring and a few life berries and head north through the door, along the walk way to another elevator. When you arrive in the next room there will be three ways to go. Go left and enter the next room where a battle will break out. Defeat the enemies and continue following the walkway through the next door. At the end of the walkway will be another Quorop selling stones and accessories along with a save point. Save your game and head up the elevator. When you enter the room at the top, head left. Continue through a battle and follow the walk way around to the south where you will come to another battle.

Kill the snakes here and make your way along to the right and you will come to the elevator. Hop on and up you go. Continue your way down the walk way and through another battle until you come to another room with three doors and an elevator. Hop on and you will come to a room with stone steps and two Quorops walking around. Heal and buy what you need and save your game. When you are ready, approach the giant doors and enter to have a talk with the Lord of the Black Abyss. Afterwards you are transported to the Shadow World where each member of the party sees something that they fear or that they let down. Walk around and talk to each one and finally talk to the flame to see yours.

After Lilia snaps you out of it you are in a show down with a few Meshimgen. These are red lizard type guys that will turn into images of the people who members of your party were talking to in the previous room. To defeat them, only the person who was talking to the certain character can hurt it. So if you walk up to a Meshimgen and attack it and it turns into Windalf, then only Darc can hurt it and so on for the rest of them. If you attack the wrong one, you will be turned into a Meshimgen yourself and will take damage for two rounds. If you die, its game over since you won't be able to defeat your fear. When you find which Meshimgen is which, it will take 3 hits to destroy. Do so to all of them and you will have another show down with more Meshimgen and Lilia.

For this battle with Lilia the best tactic is to just ignore the Meshimgen and head for Lilia and start attacking her from the start. Use raise spirits and double attacks and she won't last long at all. She has a few pretty powerful attacks, so be sure that you keep yourself healed because the next battle is the final battle of the game. Now that you have Lilia beaten, the Lord of the Black Abyss shows up and is ready to rumble.

To defeat the Lord of Black Abyss, you are really going to want two people in your party that have a long range attack, such as Maru, Camellia or even Paulette, some power house members such as Kharg and Volk and a healer such as Camellia. Also having luminous Moss equipped on your weapons helps as well. To start off, The Lord of The Black Abyss has a few nasty attacks and here they are. One is a devastating cannon like attack that clears out the center of the room hitting multiple targets for very heavy damage. To avoid that, keep your party on one side of the room, preferably everyone on the same side of the room so that group healing can be done. Do not move away from the wall. If you are out just a bit the beam will hit you. Another attack of his is a leeching attack when you get to close to him. He will drain life from you into him and it isn't pretty at all. To avoid this attack keep a good distance away from him.

The third attack is the eyeball he pops out into the center of the room. Oddly enough the eyeballs are called brain cells though. When the brain cells are popped out and in the middle of the room, attack them with the heavy hitters and you should be able to take them out in one or two turns, especially with the moss equipped. Also try not to leave the side of the room to attack the eyeballs. Use if an eyeball is a distance away then try to use a ranged attack on it or take your chances of being hit by the beam from the Lord of the Black Abyss. When you take out the Brain Cells, the black cloud around the Lord of the Black Abyss starts to disappear.

When the cloud has vanished, use the long range attacks to attack the Lord of the Black Abyss. Do not get close to him or he will use the life drain attack which will defeat the purpose. This battle is no short battle and if you don't have enough levels it can take a very long time. If you find that you are getting behind in taking out the brain cells and they are piling up in the middle of the room, you may want to restart from the last save point and travel through the castle some more to level up some. About half way through the battle you will be able to tell if you are going to be able to defeat him or not. Keep hitting him and don't allow that beam in the center to hit you. Keep up the healing and the raise spirits on the party members attacking the Abyss and you will have his big brain squished eventually.

Now that you have finally beaten this very long game, sit back, smile and watch the ending. Congratulations!
