Mission One: Amazon

From the beginning of the mission, move forward to the rocks in front of you and start jumping your way up them. You will get messages along the way from Optimus or Red Alert, depending on who you are playing as. When you reach the top there will be a decepticlone there to take out. Do so and make your way down the other side of the rocks and you will see a ruined temple across the way. Start your way over to it and you will see a yellow glow to the right. These are the mini-con and data-con beacons. Head over there and kill the decepticons guarding it. Open it up and you will get the first mini-con, Lock-On. Equip it and head down the hill to the bridge and the warp gate located right beside it. Save there and listen to the description of them and then head across the broken bridge.

When you get across you will be told there is a mini-con inside the ruins but first head to the far left of the forested area to find another mini-con. When you reach the yellow glow, you will get Pressure point. Equip it and head back to the temple. Drive up to the left hand side and up the stairs there and you will see another warp gate and an opening in the wall. Save and enter the opening to see a crowd of Decepticons inside. Get firing your guns and rockets and take them all out and the others that come in the drop ship. When they are toast, head in and grab the mini-con SafeGuard. Head for the broken stones across from where you entered and start your way up them.

Make your up them like stairs until you reach the top of the temple. Follow it around and there will be two enemies up there. Kill them and when you reach the other side you will be told to scoot across the bridge in vehicle mode. Grab the data-con on the ledge and hop off to start your way over to the waterfall. If you want, you can go past the waterfall first and grab some data-cons on the left side in the forest that are protected by a lot of decepticlones, if not then just drive across the bridge to the other side and you will get a message about Cyclonus being at the temple at the top of the mountain. Save at the warp gate and then transform to car mode and just drive following the dirt path.

When you come to a gap or a jump, drive off it and transform in the air to give yourself an extra boost of jump power. When you jump the 4th jump, you will land beside a warp gate and a spider-like decepticon. Kill it and then grab the mini-con Deflector there. Equip it since it is very helpful. Now you will need to run your way up the narrow path in front of you and follow it all the way up the mountain side to the ruins at the top. When you get there, destroy the spider tank and grab the mini-con Flashbang. Head to the left and hop up the stones there to reach the next platform. Save at the warp gate and then a scene will play when you walk into the open area.

Heavy Unit:

For Heavy Unit, you are going to want to use Deflector and Lock-on. He really isn’t that hard to defeat but he can be annoying. If he gets close to you, he will jump and it will toss you into the air like a doll and chances are you will land half way down the mountain. Fire up your shield and let him have all the ammo you have until you are out. Run away from him then and let it charge. Jump up and down the two levels of platforms and stay on the opposite one that he is on, preferably the higher one though. Just stay away from his jump attacks and hide from him to let your weapons and shields charge. He is a very slow mover so you don’t have to worry about him catching up to you right away. After a few missile barrages and shots upside the head, the Heavy Unit will go down and a scene will play to end the mission.

Mission Two: Antarctica

Head forward through the passage in the ice and your little mini-con will follow you. When you come to a passage going left, go down it and follow it around the corner to where you will see a yellow sparkle of a mini-con. You can’t grab it yet, so ignore it and the next one as well and head for the river just ahead of you. Through out this level there are small round robot probes that will fly around with a red laser. If they spot you, they will shoot a flare into the sky and a drop ship will come down with Decepticlone troops. Make your way past the river by jumping across the ice floes and grab the mini-con Hawkeye from on top of the small hill. Continue forward where you should see the blue light from the warp gate ahead of you.

Jump off the edge and land at it and save. Now you will get a message saying that there is smoke ahead of you and you need to investigate it. Slowly make your way through the area and kill any probe robots you see before they see you. Follow the passage to the left and keep going to the end where you can jump out and you will see the smoke billowing into the air on the left side of the area. Make your way over to it and you will see it is a downed plane with some Decepticlones guarding it. Take them out and grab the mini-con SlapShot from it. When you get to the plane, you will be told to find the research center which will be to the right of the plane and up and over a slope towards another blue warp gate light in the sky. When you get close to it, you will be told that there are Mini-cons in the area and that the place is heavily guarded and it sure is. Focus on the Heavy Unit first and then take out all the little guys that are around.

When all are dead go around to the back of the research center but don’t go into it yet. If you go up the center of the buildings then a battle with the boss will start. Go to the building in the back from the rear and grab SparkJump, the electric mini-con from there. Head back out and start to blow up all the buildings to find another mini-con, HighGear and some data-cons. Before you get into the battle with the boss, you may want to head over to the right of the warp gate and grab the mini-con there from the ship that is in the ice. There is a mini-con there named Look-Out that will come in handy in the next few missions so you may want to grab him now instead of having to return to get him. If you do, drive straight at the boat and then transform when you are near it to get high enough to land on the deck. Grab the mini-con and head back to the research center for the boss fight.

StarScream:

As soon as the battle starts, Start firing rockets at him and dash backwards. You should have HighGear, SparkJump and Lock-On equipped for this battle. Fire some rockets and let him have some lightning and he will stop and transform and fly away. When he is flying around, do not take your eyes off him at all. He will circle around and then dive at you and fire 4 rockets and a barrage of lasers. When he comes towards you, fire your missiles and dash to the side of his. If you nail him he will tumble out of the air and land on the ground. Run over to him and let him have it with everything you have. Then he will start swiping at you when he gets up and you will need to dash backwards like at the start of the battle. He will then transform again and start flying around again. Keep repeating the same pattern and he will go down. Just make sure you dash his rockets and fire yours at him when he is approaching towards you. When he goes down the mission is over.

Mission Three: Deep Amazon

As soon as you start, there will be a light path in front of you that you can follow down to a small village at the bottom of the hill. Take out the Heavy Unit there and the few weak Decepticlones and grab Skirmish, the Heavy Blaster mini-con from the center of the huts. When you have it, head to the right of the village and you will come to a warp gate and a bridge leading over to the temple. There are some gun turrets that will fire rockets at you if you stay still too long and a drop ship will come along to drop two Heavy Units. Drive across the bridge quickly and go to the temple. You can go to the left of the temple to find another mini-con called KnockDown, but he isn’t important for now.

There will be stones to step up at the front of the temple to get you on to the temple itself. Follow the ledge around and it will lead to more steps and more ledges taking you higher and higher until you reach the entrance way. Go inside and follow the hallways around the temple as they take you down deeper and deeper. After you go down the fourth ramp, there will be a passage on the left that holds a mini-con named RangeFinder. Grab it and continue through the temple going down. When you reach the last room with the warp gate, use it to save and then step on the small circle in the side of the wall to operate a lift that will take you to the roof and a battle with Cyclonus.

Cyclonus:

This battle with Cyclonus can be a total pain in the ass just to warn you. As soon as it starts, run and jump off the edge of the temple towards the waterfall. If you don’t Cyclonus will come and grab you and throw you off the temple and if you land at the front of the temple you are as good as dead with all the Decepticlones there. When you land, head for the water and start firing at him. Use your lock –on rockets and heavy Blaster to damage him and use dash to get out of the way of his heat seeking rockets at the last second when he fires them. To avoid his laser fire, just run around. When your rockets are depleted and need to recharge run into the trees and keep running around. Head back out to the water when you are ready to fight and continue with the same pattern of rocket and heavy blaster fire and dashing out of the way of his rockets. He will land once in a while and come after you to grab you. When he does, lay into him and dash backwards when he gets close. Keep doing this and Cyclonus won’t last all that long.

Mission Four: Mid-Atlantic

When you start, you will be on a beach. Drive to the right of the area towards the yellow glow on top of the hill. When you get near, some drop ships will enter and drop a load of decepticlones. Take them out and head up the hill to get the mini-con SlipStream from the top. Now you will be able to glide and reach the warship. When you have it, you can glide over to the rock across from you in the water to grab a data-con if you like. When you have it, head back to the warp gate where you started and climb to the top of the hill. Jump off and glide over to the next hill across from you. You will need to land on the upper half where the rock is greenish and flat. If you miss and land in the water, you may as well just run back up the hill and try it again.

When you land on that flat greenish part, you will be told to glide over to the warship from there. Don’t do it from there. Climb the rest of the way to the top of the hill and glide from there over to the warship. When you land there will be a crap load of cons there so just drive right past them and head for either the left or right side of the ship where the orange windows are. Jump up on top of the green side and follow it to the rear of the ship. When you get past the purple slope. Jump to the side, either left or right depending on which side you went on and drop down. Now there will be four openings on the wall facing the front of the ship. The farthest two to the edges lead to the elevators that will take you back up to the deck and to a warp gate.

You may want to do one of those first to get the gate and then take one of the two middle passage ways which will take you through a load of Decepticlones to the bridge afterwards. When you go through the center passages ways, follow them through to the room full of robots and then continue through to the next hallway and go down the red hallway that will be half way down it to a large Decepticon symbol. Use the control panel to the right of the symbol and it will bring down an elevator. Take it up and follow the hallway around behind it to a few more shielded decepticons and another warp gate. Use it and the control room door will open releasing two more decepticons. Kill them and hop inside to go to the bridge. When you get to the hallway, you will be told to disable it and the ship was heading for Alaska. Run to the end of the hall for a scene to begin.

Tidal Wave:

This guy is just freaking crazy. This is easily the biggest boss ever in any video game that I have ever seen. For this battle you are going to want to have Deflector and Look-Out. Your missiles won’t even reach his head which is his weak spot so they are useless. When the battle starts, you will be back at the beginning of the mission at the warp gate. Climb to the top of the hill and use the sniper. Zoom in on his head and fire as many times as you can. When Tidal Wave sends his barrage of Rockets at you, equip Deflector and wait for your weapon to recharge. When deflector is done, transform when the rockets come and drive up and down the beach until it is recharged and get back up on the hill. Equip deflector again and start sniping his head again. Keep repeating that pattern and you will take down this big sucker quickly.

Mission Five: Alaska

Before this mission starts, you may want to go back to previous missions and use SlipStream to get some of the mini-cons that were inaccessible the first time. From the start of this mission, make your way straight and head towards the small pond, When you almost get there you will receive a message from the boss telling you that you are to reach t canyon and make your way through it. When you reach the pond, head to the left and there will be a warp gate there and the canyon entrance. For the most part of this you will want to be in vehicle mode. It is a long drove and there are jumps and ramps to head up. Go through the canyon and follow it around to the next warp gate. Don’t even worry about kill the Decepticons here, just drive past them and avoid them as much as possible. Just before you reach the warp gate, there is a data-con on the ledge above the turn the leads left. You can get up it by going left and going up the ramp on the right side of the canyon.

After you have it, continue past the warp gate to a pile of rocks. Yippie! Jumping puzzles! Jump up the rocks and jump over to the left to land on a ledge there. Jump across to the other side and land on the ledge there. Follow it to the end and hop across to the right and back to the left and then the last jump to another canyon path. Drive up it and when you reach the clearing you will get a message saying that you need to reach the summit by going inside the mountain. Grab the mini-con HighJump from the center of the area and head for the cave opening that is directly across and to the left of where you entered. There will be a Heavy Unit in the entrance blocking the way, so take him out and go through the passage to enter an area with a warp gate and some more decepticons.

Have High Jump equipped and start jumping up on the rocks around the cave walls. Make your way up until you reach a stone that is crossing the area like a bridge. Go across it and enter the cave there. Inside the cave will be two passage ways on the left and right. The one on the right will have a data-con in it and the passage on the left will have two passages in it. Grab the data-con and then enter the cave on the left. When you do, it will go left and right as well and will have a data-con on the left. Again when you have it, go in the other cave and it will take you to some more rocks to jump up. Hop over the gap and start your way up the rock ledges to reach another passage.

Go to the end of it and follow the path to the right to another cave. Hop up to it and follow the passage until you get a message and will be outside. Kill the decepticons here and be very careful not to fall off the edge. If you do, you may as well just reload your game and get back up to the warp gate. Kill any decepticons you see before they get close since their grenades will blow you off the edge as well. Hop over the gaps in the path until you reach the second path that will take you up higher. Follow it and you will have a passage at the end on the left where the Kickback Mini-con is. Grab him and continue along the path until you reach the end and a scene will play to end the mission.

Mission Six: Starship

This mission is a total pain in the ass so be warned. At the start of the mission, you have A LOT of enemies to fight and sneaking past them really isn’t an option Operate the control panel and go through the large door. Stay at the top of the ramp and fire down to take out the probes and decepticons that appear there. When all is quiet, drive down and hang a left around the corner and drive to the far end. When you can’t go any farther, enter one of the rooms on the side and there will be a ramp to take you up to the next floor. Take out the decepticons here as well and head for the large door at the end. When you get near it a scene will play and show you a lift coming now with some enemies on it. After the scene ends, lure the enemies toward you and then jump past them and operate the control panel to go up on the lift.

You can fight each enemy if you want but it’s a lot easier to just run past them. When you go up, there will be a few enemies there. Kill them all and then operate the control panel in the side room to open the next blast door. When you do, there will be a lot of probes and shield decepticons. Kill them from around the corner and one at a time if possible. There are a lot of enemies coming up and you need as much life as you can get. When they are all dead, go to the next blast door control panel and open it up. Some more shield decepticon soldiers and balers will come through. Easiest way I found was to run back a couple rooms and go up the ramp to the next floor and shoot the robots through the hole in the floor. When they are dead, make your way to the next blast door and open it up. Behind this one will be a Heavy Unit and two invisible predators.

Run back to the ramp and run up it and fire through the hole in the floor to take them all out. It’s not over yet. Make your way to the next blast door and open it up to reveal a lift and two invisible-ish commanders. Take them out and enter the room with the lift and finally there will be a warp gate to save at. If you don’t have High Jump equipped, you’ll need to go back to HQ now and get him to proceed. Operate the control panel and then jump up through the open door. When you enter the bridge the will be a few more decepticons to take care of. Kill them and grab Aftershock, the mini-con on the bridge and a scene will start. After the scene, use the control panel and you will need to make your way through the ship that is now turned sideways. There is only one path to go through and there are plenty of data-cons along the way.

Use each control panel when you come to them and they will create platforms for you to jump to from the blast doors. When you reach the lift that you were on previously, you’ll need to run and jump over to it. Operate it and it will take you up. Go through the openings in the wall beside the lift when it stops. The rest of the way is pretty straight forward until you reach the orange lighted room. Jump on the ramp against the left wall and jump from there up to the data-con above it and back through the green opening. Drop down and hop across the next few openings and you will get a message saying the exit is right there. Before you go through, go to the left and follow the ledge around to get the data-con on the other side of the room. When you have it, jump to the opening that was on the right when you entered the room and drop to the outside. Run around the corner and save at the warp gate.

Starscream:

This time around star Scream doesn’t transform as much as he did last time and uses his robot form attacks to hit you. His deadliest attack is a jump in the air and he’ll charge his shoulder cannons for a dew seconds before unleashing them on you. Have dash equipped for this battle so that when he comes at you, you can dash backwards and keep firing at him. There are a lot of weapons you can use for this battle but either the mines from watchdog or the rockets from hailstorm. After he takes a bit of abuse, he will transform to fly around but it won’t last long and he’ll be back down on the ground in no time to start with his attacks again. Keep walking backwards while firing your blaster and rockets/mines at him and use the rocks in the area as cover when he jumps in the air to use his cannons. Keep up the simple pattern and he will go down no problemo.

Mission Seven: Pacific Island

When you start this mission, you will be on a beach with a mountain to your right side. There will be some gun turrets and decepticons that are using red lasers to look for you. Have Look out equipped and snipe each red laser soldier and gun turret. Make your way forward and when you are in the center of the area, head to the right and to the mountain wall and climb the slope up to the platform where the first gun turret was. From here, you can look across the area and see another warp gate beam shooting into the sky on the next cliff. Jump off the platform and use Slipstream to glide towards the low point of the cliff below the beam. When you are gliding over, you can look down and there will be a yellow beacon of Corona, the mini-con hiding below.

When you land on the other side, run up to the top of the hill and take out the spider tank and head for the warp gate to the right of the light house. Now on the hill will be two bunkers that will have enemies pouring out of them. You can enter the bunkers and they are like little tasks to get data-cons. What will happen is that in each bunker, there will be a set of enemies that will need to be cleared our before you can get the data-con for your reward. They are mostly tough and don’t absolutely need to be done, unless of course you want the data-cons. If you do or not, afterwards, you are to head up the mountain in front of you and swoop over to the ledge that is to the left of the ramp and platform that you jump off to get to the lighthouse. Before you do that though, jump off the cliff and head for the other side on the left of the waterfall.

There will be some more bunkers here for you to try and get data-cons from as well as a small docking area at the shore where you can pick up Shepard, a mini-con that is like night vision to help you find other mini-cons. When you have him, blow up the rusted containers there beside the buildings and you will discover another mini-con, failsafe. Head up the dry river bed that is a gray rock slope leading up the mountain after you have him. When you reach the top use the warp gate there and look across to the next set of bunkers below you. Swoop your way over there and there will be a slope on the left that you can run up to reach a platform. Grab the mini-con FullSpeed there and swoop over to the left to the path there. Make your way to the next warp gate and you will be at the volcano entrance. Take out the commander there and jump down into the volcano. When you walk into the center of the area, the showdown with Megatron starts.

Megatron:

The baddie of all baddies. This fight is a toughie and can take along time to finish off. When Megatron is in robot form he will deflect a lot of your shots and try to come after you and grab you. When he does, fire your blaster and run backwards to get away. If he does manage to get too close, transform and drive away to get some distance. If he grabs you, he’ll throw you over the edge of the platform and you’ll land in the lava below and you’ll have to climb back up and out to get to him again. When he transforms into a tank, he’ll fire a salvo of missiles into the air and try to nail you with his cannon. When the missiles start to rain down on you, you can hide under the platform and use it as protection until he changes back to robot form then go up and let him have it. Staying on the ramp was working well for me since I could run and hide when I needed to rather quickly. I had Slipstream, Deflector, Skirmish and Lock-On equipped to give me twice the health and a good variety of shields and weapons but you may want to equip some more powerful weapons. After he is finally defeated, the ending battle scene will play but the game isn’t over yet.

Mission Eight: Cybertron

To get here you will need to have at least 30 mini-cons. If you don’t you won’t be able to access the level. Go back and hunt through the previous levels with Shepard so you can see better and grab all the mini-cons that you were unable to grab previously. Use Slipstream and High Jump to get to places you couldn’t reach before and explore the areas more thoroughly now that you aren’t just trying to get to the end of the mission.

Unicron:

This battle is just….odd. Now that you have arrived back at home, you are equipped with a matrix cannon and jets so you fly all around the planet. When Unicron starts to move, he will move to place to get ready to start eating the planet and stop. A large round door will open and his beam will shoot out to destroy a section. What you need to do is, when the door opens for the beam, you have about 8 or so seconds to fly in there and shoot the power core with your cannon. If you hit the door way on your way in, you will get bounced all the way back out to the planet surface and need to wait until he moves and opens up again. Once you get him three times, you will need to do it again but this time you’ll need to make sure your aim is dead on to the power core since it is smaller this time. That’s the most frustrating part of this game. You’ll have a second to make sure your cross hair lights up red and to fire. It’s tough but once you do it, it will all be worth it to see his giant butt go down and finally finish the game.
