Chapter One: Bull’s Eye

Since like most games, this first level is just a tutorial mission, do what it says on the screen to go on. After the beginning scene is over follow the path down the hill and to the right to reach the training area. Shoot the targets set up there, the bottles and pots and pans, and when you are done another scene will play. Run back up to the house and take out the few enemies along the way there. When you reach the house, stand off with your Pa and finish off the remaining enemies to finish the mission.

Chapter Two: Bounty Hunter

Now that you are all grown up, you can deal with some bigger guns. Talk to the old man there and buy something from his store if you like. After the scene with the two hooligans, use the tutorial to learn how to hide behind the crate and rock and take out the gunslingers and the riflemen on top of the hills. When they are dead, you will be shown how to use the Dead Eye technique and then be thrown into the boss battle with Bloody Tom, Oaf and George. Use the rocks for cover and use your dead eye technique on Bloody Tom. He is the quickest and deadliest of the bunch of them. The other two can just be defeated by regular means, headshots and body shots. When all three are dead the chapter is over.

Chapter Three: Ugly Street Fight

Now that you have brought the bodies of the Bloody Brothers to town, the sheriff needs some help. Clear out the town of the few gunslingers and then riflemen that appear on the balconies. When they are dead, some Banditos will come running out with their leader Hedgehog. Kill them and you will be shown how to perform a showdown. Kill the other gunslinger in a draw and then Gigolo and a few off his cronies will come out of the saloon and surrounding buildings. They aren’t any more difficult then any of the enemies do far, so just dodge and shoot.

When they are all down, Ugly Chris will appear and be ready for battle. Since Ugly Chris is such a coward, he’ll pick up the sheriff and use him as a shield. Shoot Ugly Chris in the shoulder so he will drop the sheriff and then lay into him will either Dead Eye or regular shots to his head. Make sure you DO NOT hit the Sheriff when he is on his shoulder. After about three times of picking up the sheriff, Ugly Chris will go down once and for all. After the scene is over, you are asked to help bring the sheriff to Brimstone for some medical help. That’s where you’re off to next.

Chapter Four: The Traincar

Now that you are aboard the train to Brimstone, Talk to the sheriff and each one of the passengers on the train. You can talk to them several times if you like but when you have talked to all of them, make your way back to the sheriff and a scene will start. Seems there is about to be a robbery and you are in a showdown with one of the bandits. Have a draw with him and take him out. Aim for the head, groin and chest to take him down for sure.

Chapter Five: Railroaded

After you have taken him out, you will be outside on the train for some real action. You will need to make your way across the top of the train cars to make your way forward. If you happen to fall off the side while fighting, just jump up to the side of the train and you will grab on again and pull yourself up. Make your way forward and kill all the enemies you come across. Be sure to duck the plain brown beams and jump over the red striped ones. When you get to the top of one of the trains, there will be Hatchet Schultz with a knife and a grey bandana across his face. Press O to punch and kick at him to take him down. When he goes down, the next section of the train will start.

Now it seems the train is going faster and you need to get to the engineer to stop it. Continue your way across the train car roofs and again kill everyone you come across. The train is faster now so time your jumps and ducks properly. When you get to the engineer, Hoss will be keeping him hostage but he’s a sissy. Give him one good Dead Eye attack with the revolver and he’ll go down no problem. It’s not over yet! Now you need to protect the engineer from the Pedroza Brothers gang for a full three minutes. It really isn’t too difficult but can get tricky when they jump off their horse and land on the train and are up close and personal. Keep the engineer alive and yourself and take out the bandits as soon as they appear on their horses or on top of the train car.

After you save the engineer, you are in Brimstone, you can take a walk around the town and see what’s going on. You can visit quite a few places like the general store, the saloon, the sheriff’s office and there are a whole lot of people you can talk to. If you want to continue on with the game, head for the Sheriff’s office that is located at the end of Main St. When you enter the Sheriff’s office, the next chapter will begin.

Chapter Six: Carnival Life

When the mission begins, you’ll run into the English man that the sheriff was talking about as he is hanging from a cage. Take out all the little midget clowns that appear by using the gatling gun located on the hill. From there you can also shoot the sparkling switch on Jacks cage to release him. When he is released and the first rush of midget clowns are dead, there will come a second to deal with. Once they are all dead, and now it will be easier with Jack helping you, Pig Josh comes out to play and he doesn’t play nice.

The trick to beating Pig Josh is to hide from him until he starts looking for you. If he sees you, he will run after you and block your shots and toss sticks of dynamite at you. Use the buildings to get away from him and then use the small half walls near his trailer to hide behind. When he walks by, shoot him in the back and that will stun him. When he is stunned, then you can go full out on him and fire all you have at him. After you do, run away from him again and hide until he starts searching for you. When he starts looking around, give him a shot from behind again and continue to repeat the pattern until he is dead.

Chapter Seven: Freak Show

Now you get to switch characters and play as Jack Swift, the Englishman you just rescued. In the center of the area will be Katie, a woman held hostage and tied up against the water tower there. To start off the battle there will be two main bosses, Slade and a fire breather. Take them out with dead eye and the midget clowns with just regular attacks to build up your dead eye and you will be introduced to Atlas and Professor Perry. Atlas is a push over and can be taken down in only a few shots. He has a giant shield he hides behind however so you need to make sure your aim is true to nail him.

When he is down, the professor is the tough guy left. He will send out midget clowns to attack you but that’s good to build up your dead eye to use against Perry. He will teleport from spot to spot so watch for where he lands or listen to Katie tell you where he is. Give him one dead eye attack and let him teleport again. After a few times he will call out some rifle men and they will take up the balcony. The one on the ground usually gives up a health kit so be sure to kill him as soon as he appears. Hit Perry with the dead eye when you can and regular shots to the head the rest and he will finally go down. After the scene with Katie the chapter ends.

Chapter Eight: Rogue Valley

When you get back to town and are back in control of Red, go talk to the sheriff to learn your next target. After the conversation, buy any new weapons you want and off you go. Make your way forward and start jumping your way up the stones that work like stairs. When you reach the first platform there will be a few enemies including an Indian who shoots arrows and a big fella who tosses boulders at you. Take them all out by using the large rock for cover and continue on. When you come to the wooden bridge, use your rifle to zoom in on the enemies in the distance and let them have it. Make your way across and you will encounter a few more enemies that are all just the same.

Pop them all and when you come to the second wooden bridge it will be broken. Jump across and when you land on the other side you will be in a show down with two gun slingers. Put three targets on each one and do it quickly before time runs out. When they both go down take a few more steps and your old buddy from the earlier chapter will be there to sell you some health max increase. After you buy it, follow him and he will lead you to a short cut. Kill the two enemies waiting below and run down to the ledge at the bottom. Kill the two rifle men on the top right and then make your way left and up the rocks. When you get to the next ledge, grab the health kit there and continue to the left. A short scene will play and you will be introduced to Bad Bessie.

The simple way to defeat her is to head for the small house building and then go to the left and drop off the edge to the lower platform. Run along the platform there back a bit to the turn and wait there.. from here none of the other bandits will be able to get you without dropping off the edge and the only one who really ever does is Bessie. From this spot however, you can also nail the riflemen on the bridge and on the other side of the canyon. Take them out and wait for Bessie to come to you. When she does, shoot her in the fleshy part, i.e. her boobs, and she seems to take the most damage there. She will take off after taking damage but sit tight and wait for her to return. When she does, shoot her in the flesh at her boobs and she will take heavy damage. Keep repeating that and she will die to end the chapter.

Chapter Nine: Ghost Town

Next up, it seems Mr. Black is causing some commotion and needs to be taken down. When you enter the ghost town, head to the left side of the street and use the building there for cover. Shoot the bandits that appear from each building as they run up and down the street. When one set is dead, make your way forward to the next wall that you can hide behind and continue doing the same thing until you reach the end of the street and you have a duel with three people. Aim for the middle one and take him down, the other two can be dealt with easily enough after the showdown. When all three are dead, the chapter ends and a scene plays showing you run off to the cemetery.

Chapter Ten: The Cemetery

Time to meet Mr.Black. He carries a coffin around on his back and it has a nasty surprise inside it. One good thing about fighting in a cemetery is that there is lots and lots of cover. Use the tombstones for cover and take out Blacks henchmen first. There are about 5 to deal with but they should pose no problem as long as you stay hidden behind a stone. When they are dead, then you need to concentrate on Mr. Black. When he flips over his coffin, a gatling gun will pop out and tear you to shreds if you are in the line of fire. Stay far away from him and use a tombstone for cover and just start firing at him. When he pops out his gun, give him a shot in the head and stay in cover so you don’t get hit. Also his gun will blow apart a stone, so if he hits the one you are hiding behind, it will be destroyed after a few seconds. Mr. Black really isn’t tough at all as long as you use cover when he starts firing and nail him in the head with your rifle.

Now that you are back in Brimstone, take a trip around the town and buy any upgrades you need and have a chat with some of the town folk. When you are done, enter the sheriff’s office and he will tell you to go to the bank for your money. The bank is located to the right of the newspaper boy. Enter the bank and the next chapter will start.
