Old School

After you arrive at the school and the opening scene plays, make your way forward and hand a left down the hallway. Climb down the ladder there and head into the next room. Head down the stairs and you will reach a checkpoint. Climb down the next ladder to enter the hole in the floor and to drop into the sewer. When you land, head down the tunnel and slosh through the water to reach the red lit stair case on the left. Head up them and follow the corridor to come to another opening in the floor. Clamber down the scaffolding and you will come to a large room with a circular platform. Head over to the large machine there and a scene will start. After the very interesting scene, you will be told to find some back up power for the contraption you just operated.



Head out of the room through the open door and another scene will play. After the scene is over, head down the hall and around the corner to the right. Pick up the file on the ground and then head through the door there. Read the file and it will tell you about some bodies that were left in the school. Head around the right corner and climb the ladder there. When you hop off to the side enter the red room there and some spirits will be flying around. Go through the room to the far side and head up the stairs. When you enter the next room, there will be a large creature in front of a power transformer. Shoot it a few times and it will fall back and complete the circuit between two wires and activate the backup power. Now you need to head back down the ladder and back to the machine that you operated in the cut scene.



When you get here, the large face will tell you that you need training and you will run away. Go through the door that opens and follow the room around to the next door. When you enter, grab the ghost grenade and pulse rifle on the left. When you pick them up, another scene will play and when it is over a Revenant will crash through the wall. Toss your ghost grenade at it and fire with you pulse rifle until it gets sucked in. When it does, you will be told there are two more. Head through the hole in the wall it made and make a left to find another one. Repeat the process on him and make a right through the doorway there and climb up the ladder. When you enter the next room, it will be dark and you will be shown how to use the “torch” on your gun. Make your way forward and enter the washroom on the right.



Grab the health in the last stall and then go through the wooden door on the right next to the exit. When you go around the corner, you will see a girl crying on the couch. After she transforms, toss out the grenade and fill her with ammo to bring her down. Enter the room on the left and hop through the window. Go to the left and down the stairs to come to your car. Grab the shotgun from the trunk and another ghost like the one the girl turned into will attack from a window above. Take it down and then climb the ladder to get into the window where it came from. Follow the corridor to the room on the right and there will be three of those creatures inside. Take them down one by one and enter the next door for a short scene.

After it is over, continue down the hall to the right and head down the stairs. Head along the hallway and enter the door at the end to enter a classroom with another blue creature. Capture it and continue to the next room with a poster of a girl in a bikini in it. Grab the ammo off the desk and exit through the door after you whistle. When you come out, go right and you will be in a large lobby where you started the game. Kill the small blue creatures that appear and then head up the large set of stairs in the center. Make your way around the walkway to the set of double doors and head through. Enter the first door on the left and you will enter a washroom with a circular light on the floor. Read the notes you pick up and they will tell you about Astral that you can summon.



Summon her and watch the scene and then kill the revenant that enters. Once it is dead, Astral can use its abilities, well she can become solid, not really one if it’s abilities. After you kill the revenant, summon Astral and float out and to the left. Float up the stairs and into the elevator shaft on the left. Float above the elevator and then press L1 and left on the analog stick to select the Revenant power. When she becomes solid, she will drop onto the elevator and make it lower. Hit the O button and you will be in control of Lazarus again. Head out of the washroom and make a left to the elevator shaft. Climb up the ladder to the next floor and go through the door there to enter the attic. Kill the two revenant’s that appear and the blue spooks as well. When they are toast, head forward and to the open area on the left.



When you see the main villain there, a scene will play and you will fall through the floor. When you land, you will be in a library and you will need to take on three ghosts around the outside edge of the room on walkways above you and one ghost with a giant shield and hammer that will follow you around on the ground. Toss the grenade up at the one of the ghosts on the ledge and fire at it with the pulse rifle, making sure the big guy with the hammer is not near you to attack. Take it down and repeat it for the other two. When they are dead, now you can focus on the big guy without getting pelted from above. Throw the grenade at his leg when he steps forward so it isn’t behind his shield. When you hit him, he will do a little jig and you can attack him with the pulse rifle. Keep firing until the grenade sucks him up. Once you do, another scene will play and you will be back in the basement at the array.



After the scene with the “head in a box”, you will be given sniper rifle and binoculars to use for the next mission. Head for the spectral array if you want to look at the ghost you captured and get info on them; also you can steam them to annoy them. When you are done having your fun, go through the spectral portal to reach the next mission.

Swamp

Make your way forward and to the left. If you look up above the wall, there will be a pig like thing called a Howler floating around. You need to stay hidden from it by hugging the walls and eventually it will open the large iron gates below it. When it opens them, head through and continue to try and stay hidden by hugging the walls and hiding behind stones. For the next area, head to the next set of gates at the far end and make a left to find a large stone. Hide behind the front of it and watch as the pig comes towards you. When it passes to go to the gate, walk around the stone to the opposite side and the Howler will look around. After he doesn’t see you, he will open the gate to go through the next area.



In this third area, there is a large statue in the center and two sets of iron gates at the far end. Kill the blue spooks in here and then use the center statue for cover from the Howler. Walk around it as he circles and stay hidden. When he opens the left gate, go through and enter the crypt. Walk down the stairs and grab the crowbar, ammo and letter. You can also fire at the Howler now that he is asleep. Toss your grenade at him and fire to take him out and allow Astral to receive the Charm ability. Head back out through the iron gate and head to the right of where you entered the area. Use the crowbar on the door there with the cross on it and head to the house on the left. Enter the front door and grab the rusty key from the table. Make your way back out to the third area with the statue in the center and head for the iron gate on the right.



When you approach, a revenant will smash through. Kill him and then go through the gate and follow the path around, past the group of blue spooks, to a bridge. Head across and walk up the stairs to enter the house. Go through the door on the left and a scene will play as you enter the center of the room. After your run in with the woman of the house, head back out to the hallway and use the phone in the corner next to the door. After you do, head back outside and the “head in a box” will tell you that there is a new type of ghost that you can’t use the grenade on. Head down the stairs and across the bridge for a scene to play. Make your way up the stairs there and to the right to come to the building you passed earlier but now has open doors.



Enter it and you will see it is a church. Climb down the ladder on the right and start your way through the tunnel. Hop across the platforms in the water and climb up on to the ledge on the other side when you come to it and kill the blue spooks there. Head up the ramp and then through the tunnel on the right that takes you through a large pool of water. Continue through and you will need to crouch through the corridor until you come to stairs. Head on up them and you will be back outside. Go around the walkway and across the wooden planks to the other side. When you get across you will be warned that there are snipers. Hide behind the fence and pop the two snipers in the windows directly across from you. When you pop them, head over to the building they were in and grab the health and ammo in there.

When you head back out, you will be attacked by a croc with a chainsaw and two more snipers will appear in the building you were just in. Take out the crocs with the shotgun and then the snipers with a snipe to their heads. Head out of the building and make a right. Go through the opening in the fence and look to the left. There in a top floor window will be another sniper and a Howler. Pop the sniper and then enter the building to the right of where the howler is. Head up to the second floor and climb down the ladder out the back window. Make your way to the left and enter the building there. Head up the stairs and the Howler in here will fly out the window. Grab the newspaper on the ground and head back down stairs. Grab the ammo and wait for the Howler to float through the gate it opens and then head through. Follow it into the next building and then kill the croc that appears.



Go through the building and make a left to the opening in the fence. Snipe the two ghosts that appear in the windows and then enter the building they were in and head down the stairs. Crouch and enter the tunnel and follow it to the opening above you that you come to. Stand and hop out and you will be inside a house. Follow the stairs up and there will be a broken floor. Shoot the two snipers below and then head down the hallway to the open window. Climb down the ladder and you will reach another checkpoint. Head to the left of the house and follow the alley way around to where you will be fired upon by snipers on both sides. Shotgun their asses point blank and continue around the alleyway until you come to a building with a ladder. Climb up and down the other side and you will be attacked by a croc. Kill him and head through the open doorway.



Pop the two snipers on the left and then enter the building they were in. Make your way through the first floor hallway and make aright and then a left through the opening in the broken wall. Make your way around to the right and there will be some building ruins with even more snipers hiding about. Make a left past the chicken coops and head for the orange roofed building at the far end. Enter it and head through the door on the right at the end of the hallway. Pick up the newspaper on the ground and give it a read. Head through the door on the left and head for the large building across from you. Enter the lobby and there will be another newspaper on the ground. Head up stairs and on the right will be a door to a balcony and on the left, a doorway to another staircase. Head up the stairs and you will be in the attic.



Shoot the large bell there to ring it and to trigger a cut scene. After the scene is over, head back down the stairs and go left to walk out to the balcony. Walk around to the door on the far side and grab the health on the left. Go around the right corner and again and enter the doorway on the right. Follow the room to the open doorway and pop the snipers directly across from you. Go through and along the planks to the left and follow them around. Continue along the path and make a right to reach the stack of barrels. Climb on top and pop the two snipers on the far side. Follow the sunken path along and kill the two crocs that appear. After they are toast, continue along the path and you will come to a pond. Head around to the left and follow the path there and you will come to a sign that says Bayou and Mines. You’ll go to the mines after.

For now continue going left and you will come to a large swamp with a hut in the center. Kill the snipers around the area that you can see and make your way left through the water. Move from land patch to land patch to reach the hut. Lazarus will moan about the water being too deep in places so you will need to move around a bit to find the area that he will walk through. Stick to the left, but before you reach the hut, make a right and you will be able to get to the hut from there. Grab the ammo, health and dynamite from the hut and make your way back out along the path on the right and fit will take you to the entrance to the path that will lead towards the mines. Head past the pond with the car in it and you will come to a detonator and a blocked passage. Place the dynamite at the end of the cord and then use the detonator to blow the passage. Make your way through and head to the left and you will co me to a large wooden door that leads to the mines.



Go through the door and follow the corridor along to the left. When you enter the large cavern room, you will see a portal on the far side that you can use to get Astral. Head to the end of the boarded walkway and make your way right. When you head along the corridor here, you will pass a pool of water and your notebook will be updated to tell you to lower the water there. Walk to the portal and use Astral. Have her fly back to the water that you passed on the left and have her fly down through it and through the door there. Have her turn solid and have her drop on the square of boards so she can smash through them. When she does, go down and over to the ladder in the side of the room. Float upwards and you will be in a room ½ full of water. Again use the revenant power and use it to turn on the machine in the corner. Now the water will start getting sucked out and you can return to Lazarus.



When you are back in control of him, head back to where the water was and crouch down and go through the small opening there. Follow it around and you’ll come outside. Stick to the right and there will be a detonator there. Ignore it for now and go through the door there, and you will be back inside near the water. Head down the slope and you will need to lower the pump. Look to the lower left and the pump will have a white bar on it. Take a shot at it and if you hit it, it will knock down the pump and the water will lower the rest of the way. Climb down the ladder and make your way up the far side. Grab the dynamite there and then make your way back up the slope and outside. When you are outside, plant the dynamite at the end of the cord and then detonate it. Head through the rocks that blew and there will be an opening on the right. Go through there and you will come to a ladder. Climb up and grab the health and ammo there.



Use the opening at the top as a sniper spot and peg the rednecks below. When they are dead, look to the far right to the left of the waterfall. There will be a small building there at the top and there will be a barrel there. Shoot it and the building will explode. Watch the debris float down the river and it will create a bridge for you. Make your way back down there and head across. Enter the building through the open door way and you’ll reach the next checkpoint. Head to the right and hug the wall with out going around it. There will be a Howler in the area there that will open the small door at the far side if he doesn’t see you. Stay hidden until he goes through and then run when he does. Go to the left after you exit the area and grab the piece of paper there. Go through the door there and you will come to a large pool of water. Jump and grab the bars above you, and monkey across to the other side where the portal is located.

Drop down and you will notice a hallway on the right and an opening high above you. Use the portal and summon Astral and head through the hallway on the right. Enter the large room there and there will be a Howler in a cage there. Use the charm and the howler will float upwards. Turn off the charm and float your way back to the portal and enter the opening above it. When you float up there, there will e the Howler behind a fence. Use the revenant’s power and use it to turn on the machinery in there. When the fan slows down, the Howler will go through and out to the area below. Return to Lazarus and then make him run down the hallway on the right. Stop at the end and watch for the Howler to float past. When he does, follow him and go through the door around the left corner.



Head up the stairs and through the next door. Kill the redneck sniper high above to the left and then head up the ladder. Clamber your way up and under the waterfall. Continue to the tunnel on your left and enter it. Follow the corridor around until you reach a small opening on the left. Grab the health there and clamber up the ledge. Shimmy across to the right and follow the next corridor to the opening on the left. Climb into it and continue around. You will then run into a multi armed creature that fires fire balls at you. Use the corner for cover and fire at it between shots. After it goes down, enter the water and walk to the far end where there is an opening on the left. Enter it and you will reach a checkpoint. Make your way outside and across the bridge. When you reach the other side, immediately head right and start popping off snipers as they appear. There will be about 5 snipers and 2 crocs with chainsaws in this open area.



When they are all dead, head towards the large door and it will automatically open. Now you will be back in the town. Grab the large health and ammo behind you and then head forward and to the left. When you reach the grey fence, make another left and you will come to a truck that is running. Walk behind it and lift it and it will charge into a building to reveal an opening in the ground. Climb down and follow the passage to meet another croc. Kill him and you will see a room on the right that has a portal in it. Ignore it for now and climb up the ladder. Grab the large ammo on the left and then enter the house on the right. When you enter you will hear three music notes. Look up and you will see three objects hanging from the veiling. Stand in front of the door so you can use the same order I do.



Going from left to right they will be 1, 2 and 3. For the first song, shoot them in that order, 1, 2, and then 3. Then they will play four notes which will be 1,2,3 and 3 again. For the next and final one it will be 1,2,3,3 and 1. When you play that, the center will open and another fire breathing creature will appear. Take it down and then climb down the ladder in the center. Follow the corridor r along and up the next ladder to come to another area of town. Hen you climb out, you will need to head over to the next hole in the ground to the left, but there is a large health you can get to the far right side beside a building there and some ammo from inside the building. Grab both and then head for the opening. Slide down the ladder and there will be another tentacle creature there. You won’t be able to attack him, so walk forward and there will be an opening on the left. Go through and climb the ladder. When you reach the top, a scene will play.

Afterwards, you will be weaponless and in a cell. Go to the far wall and wall hug through the opening there. Shimmy along and you will enter a room with a portal. Summon Astral and dive into the pool of water there. Follow it down and along until you come to an opening above you. Go through and you will come to the room where you just were earlier with the creature. Go through the passage on the left side and go up the ladder. Enter the room will all the TV’s and fly over to the stairs in the corner. Float up through the opening and then a scene will play.



Now that you are back in control of Lazarus and have your weapons, you will be back in front of the mansion where the crazy lady was previously. Enter the room on the left where the lady originally was and grab the ammo from the table. Head back out to the main room and go through the blue door way where the sheet is. Follow the corridor and stairs around and when you come to the bottom you will see a girl at the bottom. Follow her into the next room and a scene will play. Take down the giant teddy bear and you will have capture 1 of 5 daughters of Oakville. Head back out of the room and start up the stair case there. When you enter the first room on the left, another girl will be there but she’ll jump through the wall. Grab the ammo on the left near the mannequin there and head out into the hall. Make a left and wall hug and shimmy across the narrow beam to get to the other side of the opening.



Enter the room there and the little girl will jump back through the wall. Now the tricky part. Head out of the room and go through the door on your left. Enter the hallway and you will be right back where you were. Enter the open door way on the left and the little girl will be there out of breath. Fire at her when the cross hair is red on her and the teddy will attack. Take him down and that will be two daughters captured. Head out of the room and shimmy across the boards and go through the door at the end of the hall. Enter the next door and you will come out to a large room with a tree in the center. After the girl jumps through the wall and spinning tornado ghost will appear. Have it chase you to the back corner where the sheet is hanging and it will stop spinning. Throw the grenade and take it down when it is just walking around. Once it is dead, there are 4 doors in the room you can go through, including the one you just came through.



Go through the one at the far end beside where the girl jumped through the wall and you’ll come outside. Kill the teddy there and grab the health and ammo around the area. Head back inside and go to the door directly across for some shotgun ammo and health. If you don’t need it, then head through the door on the right and enter the dining room. Save after you hit the checkpoint and run to the far end of the room. Along your way, you will see a hallway on the left and right of you. When you reach the organ at the end, there will be a large painting above it that will have two missing pieces that you need to find. Hmmmm wonder where they could be. Head back down the hall and make a right towards the door with the blue orb in it. Head up the stairs there and there will be another spinning ghost up there walking around as a child. Stay far back from it and take it out with the pulse rifle. Once it’s captured, head through the next door on the left.

Follow the hallway around and up the spiral stairs. When you reach the top, there will be a room with two children walking around and a daughter in the far corner. Take out the two kids first and then take out the teddy. Once they are all down and out, the door at the far end will open for you to go through. Enter the room there and grab the piece of the painting that is lying on the floor. Once you have it, make your way back down to the dining room and through to the hallway directly across from you. This time the staircase will lead down ward and into a room with two green slime spots. Go down the next spiral case and you’ll come to a water filled room with a daughter sitting there. This will just be like the other daughter who would jump through the green goo and then sit there out of breath for you to fire on her.



When you fire at her, she will run and then you will need to go through the door with the skulls and find her in the hallway. If you shoot her again and she doesn’t turn teddy yet, then you’ll have to go out the door in front of you and head up the stairs where she will be waiting. Once you have hit her enough times, Teddy will appear for you to kill it. Once you do, you will have all 5 and then the door on the lower level will lead you out to a coffin shaped doorway and the second piece of the painting. Grab it and head back up the stairs and out to the dining room and to where the organ and painting are. Once both are in place, step through the painting and enter the house again. Make your way through the sheet covered doorway again and make your way down the stairs.



Follow the corridor all the way around to the open door on the left and there will be a ghost of a teddy. Take it out as you did previously and head up the stairs. When you reach the top, you can check the two rooms there if you like, but head to the end of the hall and follow the door way out and into the large room with two more teddy’s walking around. Kill them and go through the door across from where you entered that leads to the dining room. In the center will be a cage with a daughter inside it ands she will tell you that she want the stars in the sky. Ok. Head to the right of her cage to the open door and follow the stairs down to the green room there with the two giant babies. Run through the sheet and follow the stairs down again. When you get near the bottom, you should be able to see another Teddy running around.



Kill it while you’re on the stairs and then go all the way down. Grab the kaleidoscope the teddy drops and then head into the door with the skulls before it to see something neat. Head back up the stairs into the dining room where the girl is in the cage and use L1 and X twice to have stars shoot out from your flashlight and head over to the painting above the organ. Shine them on the sky and the door to the left of the cage will open. Head through and follow the stairs up and you will come to the large room where the kids were earlier. On one of the tables there will be a projector. Turn it on and flip through the slides. There will be three and then they will repeat. Go over to the other table in the dark corner and turn on your flashlight. After the image shows, go to the projector and there will be three more slides.

Go to the corner again and back to the projector and the last slide will be a little girl writing the number 11. At that time two teddies will appear. Kill them and they will drop a lens. Use it with the flashlight and you will see the number 10 written all over one wall. Head back down the stairs to the girl in the cage and she ill come out. Kill the teddy and Astral will receive a new power. Now you need to run back up to the room you just came from where the portal is and summon Astral. As soon as you do, you can use the Spectral power to warp through the green slime patch directly above you. Slide through and head over to the door in the room. Use the revenants power and turn the switch to open the door. Go back to Lazarus and head up the stairs and enter the attic.



Go to the far room and the little girl will be standing in there. Walk over to her and she will run out telling you to follow her. Follow her back down to the dining room and into the painting. When you are outside, a short scene will play and then you will need to continue following her. You will run through a barn like building to another walkway which will get taken out. When it does, head back to the barn and climb the ladder to the roof. A scene will play as you zip across the gap. Clamber down to where the girl is and continue across the walkway. When you reach the land at the end, you will see the giant croc coming up behind you. For the first part of this battle, you will need to shoot the croc when it sits up on its rear legs. Shoot it in the gut with either your shotgun or glock and it won’t last long at all.



It is easy to stay away from as long as you keep running backwards from it. Run backwards and stop when it gets up on its hind legs. After you knock down it’s health, another scene will play and it will turn into a different type of beast. For this battle, you cannot fight it. You need to run away from it and lure it to the houses on the island. Stand in front of the houses near the porches and then run when it starts to bash against them. Do that to each house and the creature will fall. After the battle, continue to follow the girl through the doors and buildings all the way back to the center area where you first met the Howlers and the two creeps will reappear once again.



This time however, they will be separate for the most part. Lure them to the center of the area and have them smash the statue. Once that happens they will separate and attack each other. When the croc comes after you, lure it to the beast and they will attack each other again. Continue to do that until the croc has almost no health left. Toss the grenade at him to get rid of him. Once he is dead, you can use the glock to fire at the best about 5 times to bring him down. Use the grenade on him and both will be defeated. Watch the scene and you will be back in the school.

New School

After the scene you will have a new weapon in the form of a grenade launcher and will have some new additions to the ghost array. Go take a peek if you like and then make your way up the ramp and up the scaffolding. Head down the tunnel to the ladder and climb on up. Continue through the red room to the next ladder and up to the first floor of the school. Run to the end of the hall where the stack of furniture is and use the grenade launcher on it to blow it out of the way. When you are outside, head down the stairs and enter the school. Make your way down the hall with the scaffolds and you will finally get a checkpoint to save at. Enter the door at the end and you will be at a three way intersection. Head to the left and enter the door there.



When you enter the hallway here, there will be a staircase on the right. Ignore it for now and head down the hall. There will be door numbered and they will only open if you start at number one. Enter door #1 and inside will be a poltergeist that will start throwing things at you. They are invisible but can be seen in smoke and fog or with the binoculars. Go to the far end of the room and there will be a TV in a sink. Turn it on and a fire will start. Now with the smoke you will be able to see the ghost. Take it out and you will need to catch 6 more. Head back out to the hallway and enter room #2. In here will be a fire roaring and smoke billowing. There will also be two ghosts in here to take care of. Take them down and head around the corner to room three.



When you do, a revenant will pop around the corner and say hi. Take him out and make your way to room three. Enter and shoot the propane tank near the window. After it blows, you will be able to see the two ghosts a lot better. Take them both out and you will have 5 of 7. Make your way out and to room 4. When you enter, walk across the room and pick up the flask on the counter. Make your way to the room in the back and place it on the burner. It will then blow smoke out into the main room. Kill the poltergeist inside and make your way out to the hallway. With one left, room 5 is up the stairs. Make your way there and there will be a revenant at the bottom of the stairs and at the top. Take them both out and make your way around the corner on the second floor.



Enter the janitor’s room on the right and turn the valve there. Exit and enter room 5. When you are in here, shoot the red sprinkler tips on the ceiling and since you turned the valve, water will shoot out now. When the ghost is under the water he’ll be seen and you can kill it. Once it’s down, Astral will be given the ability to throw things. Head back down stairs and out into the hallway where you started. Head back to the three way hallway and continue to go straight to the end of the hall. Enter the door on the right and there will be a portal there to summon Astral. Do so and have her use the poltergeist power to move all the furniture. Enter the next room as Lazarus and go through the door on the left. Kill the black spooky ghost in here and then climb the desk and table to get to the second floor.
