Transentia City

Now that you have arrived in the city, make your way off the ship and down to City Level 1. Talk to the maintenance worker there and he will tell you that the elevator is busted and that 2 cogs need to be in place. Climb the ladder on the right and use the crystals to get fuel. Jet across to the left and then climb the ladder there. When you reach the top, walk to the end of the platform, to the right of the ladder and then jet across to the left. Land on the platform there and walk up to the machine to use the cogs. Hop down and head for the elevator for a short scene from Elco. After you take the elevator up, head to the right and save at the book.



Continue to the right and take the stairs down to the walkway. There will be a robot standing at the bottom of the first set of stairs next to an elevator. If you don’t nee to be healed, hop on, if you do, then take the stairs on the left that lead to the Rusty Cog which has the giant neon purple cog above the door. Enter it and talk to Saffi to rest. Otherwise enter the elevator and go to level 3. When you reach it, head up the stairs and go through the door on the right. When you are in the university, head to the right and go up the stairs there. When you reach the top, a scene will play and you will run into Buki and Ailish as well as the professor.



After the scene, he will take you down to the CPU to get the crystal. If you like, you can head back down to the inn again if Ailish and Buki need some healing. If not save at the book to the left and enter the door to the CPU.

Research Center

Enter the building and follow the hallway around to the first large room. Step to the center of the room where there is a large circle and a lift will rise. After the scene with the Krenn 5002, kill the robots that appear and then enter the door that reveals itself. Follow the hall way to the end and enter the Dean’s Office. Kill the few robots that appear and have Ailish dispel the wall behind the desk. Go through and there will be two levers on each the walls there labeled 1-4. You are to pull them down in a certain order to open the door here. Pull number one and three down and the door will open to reveal another door. If you want to know what told you what levers to pull, look at the blackboard in the office.



This time only pull down number two and make sure you put the other ones up. When the door opens, head through into the room and grab the master key card from the chest on the left. Have Ailish dispel the chest against the rear wall and open it to get a weapon for her. Head back out and through the large green door and down the hall to the room where you fought earlier. Head across to the red door after the battle and follow the hallway to the next door. Enter the room and kill the robots that appear. After they are toast, Elco will need you to get some raw material for him. Tal and Buki will split up and you will need to take them to the mines to get it.



Head up the stairs and use the save book there before entering the door. Go through afterwards and follow the corridor to the next doorway. Go through and enter the next room that has a circular lift in the center and a large number 1 on the walls. To the right will be a green and blue button. They won’t be useable yet until you turn on the power. Have Buki head back to the entrance and make a right along the walkway there against the wall. At the end of it, there will be a fence she can climb. Have her go up and over and drop down to the platform there that has the power switch. Turn it on and the switches will be active. Head back to the center of the room and press the green button. Ride the lift to the second floor and then press the green button again since the door here will still be locked.



Go down to the 3rd floor and head through the large door there. Follow the corridor to a set of gate doors and to the left will be a set of stairs. Go up them and this will be where you are to bring the materials. Continue down the corridor and there will be stairs on the right that lead down to the mining area. When you get down there, there will be 6 extractor robots that you need to get the material from. Take out each extractor as they come which will be always three at once. When one dies and other will come until all six are dead. Grab their materials and take it back up the stairs and along the walkway to the elevator that will be on the right. Once it is in, you will be told the locked door of level 2 will be unlocked. Head back to the lift and press the blue button to get there.

Enter the large door on number 2 and when you enter the room a battle will start. Take out the robots in here and Buki will have a visit from Tetsu again and receive a new Spirit strike as well as a new outfit. After the scene, have Tal walk to right where there is a fence. In front of it is an object that he can grab when he is close to it. Pull it backwards and a lift will lower to allow Buki to reach the fence. Have her climb it up and over to the platform at the top. Walk along the catwalk and she will start running herself. Now you will need to use Tal to plug in batteries to lift the platforms for her.



Plug a battery into the first two stations by pulling and pushing them into place. After the two are in the air, grab the first one and out it in the third spot and so on until Buki runs across and grabs the processed material. When you are back on the ground, head through the door and go through the corridor to the lift again. Press the blue button to get back to level 1. When you arrive, head through the door and save and then go talk to Elco to start a scene. Now after he tries to take down Krenn and fails a few bots will attack. Destroy them and then Elco will need to hit the switches manually.



Have him run up the stairs to the left and there will be a ladder and a yellow crystal for his fuel. Fill up and then climb up. Jet across to the next platform and climb up the next ladder as well and then jet across to the switch platform on the right. Land on the platform there and pull the switch. Quickly turn to the left and jet across to the next platform beside you to the next switch. When both are pulled, a scene will play and Elco will enter the corridor. Head to the end and there will be a save book there to use. Be sure you do because the next battle is a doozy.



This battle will probably take you a few tries to pass but eventually you will get it. This is by far the most difficult battle in the game so far. You will want to use a combination of Nano –Enhancement and the Proton Phaser, especially when dealing with the healing rods. When Krenn appears, he will have two forms, one as a ball and one as a robot. When he is a robot, the only vulnerable spot he has to hit is his red eye and under belly. He also only has two attacks for the first part of the battle, one where he will come towards you and one where he fires a laser at you. When he walks towards you, keep firing at his eye and walk backwards and to the left. When his arm goes to punch you, you will be beside it and it will miss.

After he does that, he’ll go back to the center of the room. Follow him and stay to the right while he charges up his laser. If you stay to the right and close to him, he won’t be able to hit you but you can still fire at his eye. When he stops firing, Start backing up and continue to fire at his eye as he walks towards you. Again, walk backwards and to the left to avoid its punch. When you have it down to about 40% health it will ball up and sit in the center. When it does that, a rod will appear at the top with a ball on the end of it and start to heal Krenn. Now you need to take out the ball on the end of the rod.



Keep firing at it until it blows while little spider bots come out that explode when they get close to you. When you kill the end of the rod, Krenn will repeat the same attack pattern as before. Again when you get it down to 40% it will ball up again. This will happen 4 times. After that it won’t be able to heal itself anymore. Once you get it down to 40% this time, it will start to freak out and have a new attack where it spins around and the spider bots continuously come out. Use the same attack patterns as you did at first and try to get Krenn to take out the spider bots when it does its spinning move. After you finally defeat the robot, head up the lift and save again.



Head down the corridor and another scene will play as you rejoin the party. Go through the door across from where you just came out of and enter the next large room. Fight the robots in here and then use the lift in the center of the room. Head down the corridor and outside to talk to the professor who will still be standing there waiting.



Transentia City

Talk to him and then head down to the rusty cog to rest up if needed. When you are ready, hit the fourth floor and save and then head to the right and follow the path to the portal site where the professor is. Talk to the professor and a scene will play. After the scene is over, you will be teleported to the Shadow World.

Crystal Reef

When you arrive in the Shadow World, head around the ring of portals until you find the one with the smoke rising from it. It will take you to the Crystal Reef which is where you need to go next. As you arrive in the town of what looks like a dilapidated Brightwater, head to the left and down the stairs to reach the road. Follow the road forward and over the bridge to run into a save book and Esser Casser who will talk about Lord Mewsely. Save and continue down the road to the blacksmith. Make your way up the road on the left and follow the stairs there to the graveyard at the top. Smash the urns there and have Ailish dispel the chest that is in front of a tree there.



Grab the Orb of Sanctuary out of it and had back towards the church. Head up the road on the right just past it and head over the bridge. Make you way to the next bridge and have Ailish dispel it to cross it. When you get across, enter the area to the right to find some urns and another chest by a tree. Open it and Ailish will get a new weapon called the Chilltip Cane which has pretty crappy damage compared to the Wizardwood. Head back to the road and go back across the two bridges and up the road to the left of the blacksmiths shop. At the top of the hill on the right side will be the Mewsely mansion. Go around to the right side and enter the door there.



When you enter, talk to Samuel Mewsely and he will tell you about Nassiria and her grotto where she is hiding with the Alkorian crystal. After your conversation, head back down the road and talk to Casser again at the church. He will need you to prove you are just by finding and return the symbol of Tetsu to his church. Easy enough. Head down to the docks and talk to Finbar the squidhead there. He will say he finds lots of things and gives you a key to his house. Head up the dock and make a left to this boat house. Enter it and there will be some large blocks in the middle of the room. Move them out of the way and open the chest that is behind them. When you do, you will have the Tetsu Symbol. Head back to the church and talk to Casser.



After the chat, head into the church and talk to Kerfin. He will tell you to talk to Mewsely and he will turn on an elevator that will take you to the bottom of a cliff. After talking to Kerfin, talk to Casser to get fully healed. Head out of the church and save and then head for the mansion again. Talk to Lord Mewsely when you get there and he will turn on the elevator for you. Head to the right and ride the lift down to the bottom. Head down the stairs and a scene will play.

The Grotto

After the scene, you will be in a cavern of sorts called Dead Fish Cave. Continue to follow it until a scene starts about the mural on the wall. After it is over, continue down the corridor until you start another scene. After Tal and Elco enter the center doorway, Buki and Ailish will have to face a few waves of sea creatures called Hyd. Myrmidon’s. Kill the wave after wave of them and then head to the rear of the center structure to find a staircase. Head up it walk to the statue. You will be told that you need to find some Mermaid Pearls to put in the pillars. Head across the bridge there and save at the book. Head to the right and follow the ramp back down to the ground and enter the large door that the tentacles were blocking.



Follow the corridor to the large room called the cavern of endless stairs. Kill the myrmidon’s and Giant crabs that appear. Head through the door to the right of the stairs and follow the road up to the next door. Go through and you will be in Aquares Falls where you will face a few enemies including a Crystal Scribe and a few Myrmidon’s. After you take them down, head for the right side and have Ailish dispel the rock with the yellow lights to reveal a rock platform. Ride along it and it will take you to another. Again when you reach the platform with the vines, have Buki climb the wall and press the button. Climb down and ride the platform back on spot and jump on the next platform that will take you to the left and to a chest. Open it and you will get yourself a Shell Key.



Ride the platforms back up to the area where you battled and head through the door to return to the Cavern of Endless Stairs. Fight the fight and then head up the staircase. Make your way to the left at the broken stairs and you will come to a split. One staircase will lead left and one right. Head to the right to find a save book and a door. This next part is a pain in the ass puzzle of buttons a levers. Have Buki run up the ramp and climb the vines. Atop the ledge there will be a lever and a button as well as a place to climb down at the far end. Have her press the green button and then pull the lever and then press the green button again.



Have Ailish run across the bone bridge and pull the lever there. When she does, run across to the next platform and from here you can go to the right to get an Orb of Valor on the platform to the right. Grab it and then come back and pull the lever there. When you do, have Buki hit the lever and press the green button again where she is standing. Now both of you should be able to reach giant clam. Have Buki run to the far left and climb down and run across the bones while Ailish can just run straight across to it. Each stand in a circle and the clam will open to give you your mermaid pearl.

Had along the path Ailsih took and flip the last lever there to get back over to the door. Go through and save so you don’t have to go through that again. Head up the stairs to the door way and head straight across to the next room where there are a bunch of urns. Smash them and open the chest there to grab a bunch of goodies. When you have them all, head out and use the Shell Key on the weird door to the left. Go through to enter a room that will have a green button directly in front of you and a bridge to the right. Go to the left and you will come to five circles on the ground. Each will make a sound when you step on it and you need to step on them in a certain order to make the right melody.



Start at the light that is there and the circle closest to it on the left will be Number 1. From there, go clockwise so that number 5 will be ahead of the light and not to the left of it. The order to hit the circles is 4, 1, 3, 5 and 2. When you hit them in that order, a scene shows the second pearl appear across the bridge. Grab it and head back to the Cavern of endless stairs. Fight the fight and continue through the door to the Sirens Chamber. Head up the stairs to the statue and place the pearls in each of the pillars. When you do, the large door below will open and you can make your way down and in.



Follow the corridor down to the docks there and you will have a scene with Tal, Elco and the boss Nassaria. After the scene the battle will start. To defeat Nassaria it is actually pretty easy. She will have two attacks she performs, one is a poke with her trident and the other is a whip of her tail. Watch your radar on the left side to see where Nassaria will appear from. Where the red dot is, is where she will be. When she pops up, nail her and then step to the right so her trident misses you and then step to the left so her tail misses you, much like Krenn would miss with his punches. Continue doing this simple pattern until she is at about 40% and then she will dive at you after her tail whip. Simply side step her and keep hitting her at each opportunity. After the beast goes down, a scene plays and you are left with just Elco and Tal.



Save at the book and then head up the path to reach the large room at the top. Fight Crystal Crabs here and head through the door. Take the stairs up and you will come out in the large room with a few staircases. Go left to get some gold and go right to follow the stairs to the next doorway. Enter the doorway to the left of the pink flag and follow the stairs down to a save book. Use it and then head down the stairs on the right to enter the maze. Go left and then left and again and make a right to come to a blocked doorway. Fight enemies here and then go through the doorway when it opens. Go through the tunnel there and you will be in another battle. Fight your way through and continue to the left where you will enter another tunnel. Fight the three crabs in here in go to the tunnel that leads right.



Head towards the gate there and then there will be another fork in the road going left and right. Head left and go up the stairs. Enter the room on the left with the red clam in it. Open the chest there and grab the Siren Song weapon for Tal. Equip Tal and have him walk over to the block on the left side and pull it out wards to open a gap in the wall. Run through and then you will be back in the Chamber of The Siren. Save at the book and head down the room and through the corridor to the dead fish cavern and out of the grotto for good.

Crystal Reef

Head outside and up the elevator there and head back to the mansion to talk to Mewsely. He will give you a key to the village and will tell you that you can take anything you want from his warehouse opposite the boat house at the docks. Head down there and open the two chests inside to get an orb of might and of wisdom. Head back out and go talk to Mewsely again. When you talk to him he will say he saw someone escorting them to the Cyantine Citadel.



Devils Belch Canyon

Head back to the road and make a right and go through the gate. Follow the road and eventually Tal and Elco will have a chat. When they do, there will be a store on the right you can stop at to sell stuff. Continue down the road and across the bridge to a battle with some abominations. After they are toasted, continue and you will come to a sign. Make a left and follow the path to a wolf totem shrine. Keep going and make a right across the bridge. When you get to the other side, make a left and you will come to a sign with a volcano on it. Make another left and climb down the ladder you see on the left there. Climb down the next ladder as well and you will come to a dragon shrine. Fuel up at the yellow crystals and jet over to the platform on the left.



Land and fuel again and make your way to the next platform that is around the higher platform that is sticking out. Land on there and fuel up again to fly over to the next one with the ladder on it. Climb up and then fuel up and fly over to the left most platform with a yellow crystal on it. You will need to fly over another platform to get to it. Drop on it and fuel up and jet over to the next platform that has a chest on it. Grab the loot out of it and fly over to the next platform in front of you that is a bit lower. From here you need to fly to the platform behind you to the left and from there around the higher platform to the platform with a chest on it to get Elco’s newest weapon. Once you have it, make your way back to the platform with the ladder and from there back to the ladder at the start. Climb back up and rejoin Tal.



Enter the next large area with pools of lava and you will be attacked by some more enemies. After they are defeated, there will be a sign on the far right leading to an Alkorian Stronghold and one the left leading to the Cyantine Citadel. Head for the Citadel and cross the bridge down to the plateau. Fight the large battle here against more of the same enemies and head for the next sign leading to Cyantine Citadel. Follow the path upwards to Ashenbark Woods and you will have to fight another battle.



After you beat his battle, head to the other side if the area and there will be another sign to Cyantine. Enter the area there and there will be a portal and a save. Enter the archway after you save and follow the corridor to the abandoned checkpoint. Make a right and follow the corridor up to the large door. Go through it and a scene will play as you cross the bridge. After the very interesting scene, a battle will start on the bridge. Take down the baddies here and go through the gate afterwards.

Cyantine Citadel

When you enter, go through the open door and you will come to a locked gate. To pen the gate, you need to fly up to the switch and pull it. To get there, have Tal move the blocks in the first room so that Elco can reach the yellow crystals. When he can, fill u p and then run out of the room towards the gate and make a right to the ladder there. Climb up and jet across to the right where there is another ladder. Once you land, climb up and run across the walkway to pull the lever. Once the gate is open, hop down and go through to get caught up in another battle.



After the battle is over, go through the arch on the right and enter the wooden door on the left. Head across the bridge there and a rather long scene will begin. After the scene and storytelling is over, head to the right and save your game. You will notice you have some new members in your party now. If you like you can scout out the Dark Gardens here and find the Inn and the Blacksmith. When you are ready to roll, head to the left side and go through the large door there to reach the east bridge. Head across and then enter the next door to enter the Ruined Courtyard.



Look to the left as you enter and there will be the yellow lights there that can be dispelled. Have Alexine dispel it and then have Nico run through and climb up the wall there to find a chest with the orb of might in it. Hop back down and then go through the arch on the left and follow it around to the large gate you entered earlier. From there go past the blocks you moved and across the next large bridge to come the large door that will lead you down the corridor and take you down to the Devil’s Belch Canyon.



Save at the save point and run past the portal. Run to the right side and enter the entrance there. Follow it down and across to the bridge. Head across and up to the next platform and across the open plateau to the sign that is pointing to the Alkorian Stronghold. Head across the bridge there and enter the Fire Pits. Run past the eagle totem shrine and pop open the chest there to get 250 gold. Follow the signs and arrows as they lead you up the wooden ramps and through a few battles.



Continue to follow the signs and you will eventually hit Eagles Rock. Follow the bridge to the other side where you will need to dispel the rocks there to pass. Enter Geren’s Pass and follow it around until you finally reach Vossers Peak. Come out side in the pretty snow and continue to follow the path up and when you see the portal ahead of you, there will also be a save book to the right as soon as you reach the top of the path. Save and head across the bridge to reach the outside walls.

Alkorian Stronghold

As you enter the stronghold, the bridge will collapse behind you. Head up the stairs on the right and enter the gate there. When you enter the East Battlement a battle will start. Finish off the enemies and then head directly straight forward from where you entered. Have Alexine dispel a block there and then have Tal move them to the spaces in the opposite wall.



Have Nico make her way to the vines on the wall across from where the blocks originally were and climb up. Walk along the walk way there to the switch at the end. Pull it and it will open a gate. Head back down to the party and make your way around the right corner to the gate there. Go through and enter the small room where the door opened. In here there will be a bunch of blocks that are blocking the path to the vine wall that Nico needs to climb. All you need to do is have Tal move all the blocks to the right side of the room. It’s actually pretty simple. Once Nico climbs up and pulls the lever, a door in the East Battlement will open. Head back there and go through the now open door to run into Khoul.



After the scene, you are told to find Carlos in the Bailey courtyard the old vet to help you. After you have grabbed the goods from the room, pull the lever and the large locked door across from the drawbridge will now be open. Make your way back down the stairs and enter the now open portcullis. When you enter, a scene will play and a guard in the center will pull a rope to ring a bell. When he does, more enemies will join in the battle. When the battle starts, keep the enemies away from the rope or else they will call in more to do battle. You will want to use anyone other then Alexine for this fight so you can see when people are running for the bell. When they do, use the B button to knock them backwards before they reach it. When everyone is dead, the next large door will open.



Head through the next large door and another battle will start. It’s nothing difficult so defeat the enemies and enter the door to the left of where you entered to find Carlos. He will tell you where to find Geren and what you need to do to get there. After the scene is over, check the chest there to get a Faustin Blade for Tal and head out the door. Use the fountain in the garden to get healed and then head out the door on the right. When you enter the next area a scene will play with two ogres and then the battle will start. Take out the one without the shield first and then surround the other to finish him off. Once they are both down, go through the next gate and this will be where the counter balance for the gate is.
