Mission Six: Shroud Tower

This level is pretty short but annoying since you basically walk 5 steps, take an elevator, jump across poles, and take an elevator and so on. Make your way forward and into the elevator. Ride it up and take out the vamps there. Continue along the catwalks and elevators until you come up against a foreman. Take it down with kicks and then hop on the pole there. Swing up to the next and run up the rail. Jump off to the catwalk beside you and run to the elevator. Ride it up and continue to the next poles. Swing across and run along and jump onto the large pipe on the left. Jump to the fence above and back and forth to the next catwalk. Run through the room and into the elevator. Ride it up and then hop on the box and over the next wall. Drop down and grab the pole and drop down. Go through the doorway and rail slide down to the next elevator. Head up and up again on the next one and again on the next after killing a few vamps.

After the next scene, you will be at the base of the large machine. Use you hook to toss the bodies on to the spikes that are blowing out steam and they will shoot upwards into the machine. After you toss in 4 bodies, the elevator door will open for you to enter. Do so and ride it up to take out some more vamps and a foreman. After the chopper takes off, jump on the grate face of the drain pipe ahead of you and wall jump to the next and back to get on top of it. Jump across to the top of the next one and then into the corridor to the side. Hop to the walkway and ride the lift up. Jump on the fencing after you take out the vamps there and jump to the pole. Jump from pole to pole to fence to rail and then to catwalk and wall jump up the fence at the end of the walkway.

When you get to the next elevator, go up and follow it around to another and eventually through a control room to another. Go up and jump into the large opening on the left and start to follow the tunnel there. When you come to the pipe gratings, jump your way up them back and forth and into the corridor on the side. Rail slide down to the platform below and jump onto the pole. Climb up and jump off onto the platform and into the elevator. Now you will come out to the large pump that is feeding the blood. Around the room are 4 generators that operate the pump and you‘ll need to have the foreman smash tem and then toss a vamp into each one. Ignore the foreman is you can and concentrate on getting the vamps into each generator. After you get all four destroyed, the foreman will die as well.

Once all four are down and the pump is busted, climb up the face of the pump and grab the pole at the top. Jump off to the platform and head for the lift. Once you get up, go to the left and climb the pole there. Swing across three times and slide to a pipe. Climb up to the ledge and jump from pole to pipe again until you get over to the platform with the vamps. Take them out and head up the lift. Now comes the hard part. Run up the catwalk and take out the foreman and the rush of vamps along the way. You need to get on the lift at the top but it won’t come down until everyone is dead. Make sure they are and then hop on and go up. Rail slide to the next platform and ride another lift up. Keep going up lift after lift after lift until you finally come to a spiral catwalk with auto machine guns and a whole lot of vamps.

There is a lot to kill you here so my suggestion is super speed all the way to the top and only stop to feed if really really necessary. When you get in the elevator at the top, ride it up and save your game before facing Ferril. The battle with her is just down right tough and you don’t even have to attack her, just run from her. When you head up the stairs to face her, a scene will play and show you the generators above around each blood stack. There are four generators around each stack and there are 4 stacks. To get to each stack you need to go through the shroud which will allow the sun to hurt you. You need to hit each generator around each stack and then quickly drop off the edge and or slide down the rail to get back down to the platform where you started to get some health.

Feed off the vamps there and then make your back up the stairs or the railings to be sneaky and start to work on the other three stacks. Once you have all four stacks down, the mission ending scene will play.

Mission Seven: Twisted Park

After the kick ass scene, make your way forward and to the right to see some scenes of destruction and mayhem. Go through the gate and you’ll be introduced to some new vamps that have big ass swords and throw stars. Go through the tunnel and into the next area and a scene will show you the crashed copter and a gate. Start tossing the vamps into the chopper and a scene will play after you toss enough in to cause it to explode. Hop over it when it does and head through the open gate. Continue along the path and take out the minions you come across. Head to the left and go through the large gate there to enter the zoo.

When you enter the area, you’ll face off against two multi-eyed sword wielding vamps known as shadow legions. These guys are real tough especially when they are both hacking on you. Try to take them out one at a time or try to keep hitting both at the same time. When they both finally go down, Severin will tell you that you need to go through the reptile building to get to the other side of the zoo. Head up the stairs to the doors and enter. Kill the vamp that runs up to you and head down the hall to the left. After the scene with the zoo keeper, turn and run down the hall until the scene plays with the minions.

Head forward and then left and go through the opened gate. When they multi-eyed vamps and minions show up, shoot the canisters to nuke them all and then make your way left again after the chat. Go through the gate and up the ramp and then head right. Follow the hallway along and enter the gate on the left for a scene. After the scene, you‘ll need to take out the three of the minions that are down here and then a dhamphir will arrive with more minions. Take out the not so easy Dhamphir and her damn guns and you will receive the blood flame gun upgrade.

Now that you are back outside, test the gun on the bug pile coming towards you and then head forward to the wood chipper and the few enemies around it. You’ll need to toss 4 of them in to make it blow and open the gate. Head though once it does and you’ll see a scene with some more shadow legions and bug monsters. Fight the few Shadow Legions that pop in and out and then you will be heading for the aquarium. Walk up the stairs and enter to find the place flooded. Hop over to the left on top of the platforms and pop machine and then to the pipe. Climb up to the top of the center structure and then slide down the rail. After the water tank blows, hop over to the right and to the little island and take out the machine gun there.

Head right around the corner and use the machine gun there to pop the glass and take out the vamps that are coming. Make your way to the right through the case when they are dead to the next hallway. Make your way through and down the slope to the main exhibit room. When the scene plays, you’ll be told to find something to smash the floor with. Head around to the left and shoot the glass and then the shark hanging to use as a bridge. Make your way over to it and cross to the large case on the other side. Follow it to the end and jump to grab the pole. Swing over to the stairs and go up.

When you are at the top, head over to the whale’s flipper and jump on it. Swipe the three cables holding up the whale and the chain will break dropping it through the floor. Drop down to the first floor and drop the hole the whale created. Follow the ledge along until you reach outside and then jump to the tree branch. Swing to the next and then slide down the last one. Walk forward to the truck hanging off the edge of the road and hook it. Pull it down and it will blow open the hole in the gate. Go through there and a quick scene will play. Kill the machine gunner and then use the gun to take down the vamps. When they are down, kill the bug pile and then a foreman will enter. Take it down the same way as usual and then the field across the door will be removed.

Head up the ramped hallway and you will come out to a large yard where Ephemera is. For this battle, Ephemera has some shadow portals that she will go through and get her life recharged. You need to take these out first. Most of them are just standing stones, but there are two different ones. One is a gazebo structure that you need to slash and destroy and one is a round pillar atop a hill above the portal is self. You need to hook the pillar that is laying there and pull it to destroy the portal. Once all of the portals are destroyed, then you can start to work on Ephemera. She really isn’t much more difficult then she was at the start of the game and the same techniques will work on her. Once she is down, you will receive Enthrall and the mission will end.

Mission Eight: Kagan’s Tower

After the opening scene you are in Kagan’s building. There are 6 beams of sunlight being shot around the room that you need to destroy. When you get near them, jump and stay out of the line of the ray. They only take a swipe to destroy so quickly move onto the next one when it’s busted. When all six are toast, Xerx will take off in his little capsule and a door will open for you. Jump in and grab the pole above you. Drop to the railing below and slide a few feet and then jump to grab the next pole. Swing your way up and up to the fence. Jump back to the pole and pipes and land on the platform where the vamp will come out.

Kill him and go through to come to a lobby. Head right and enter the open door on the left. Kill the minions in here as you make your way through to the door way on the other side. Enter the hallway and a gargantuan will enter. Lure it out of the hallway into the next room and fight it there. Deal with it the same as the first one you fought and then the room will fill with minions when he is dead. Use the minions and then head through the door they came through. Head through to the stairs case and follow them up a few flights. Go through the only door you can and head to the right down the hall. Run past the window as the helicopter attacks and you will come to a broken floor with pipes spewing water.

Swing across to the other side and enter the room on the right. Go through to another hallway with a hole in the floor and kill the rush of enemies. When they are dead, go through the door and up the stairs. When you come to a door that has a light shining on it, go through there and save. Walk towards the fire and head right through the double doors there. When you go through, you’ll square off against a pretty huge monster with no head. Attack it from behind when possible and keep running circles around it. When it goes down, go through the set of doors across from where you entered. Head down the hall and make a left and you will come to an open doorway. Go through and up the stairs to the door at the top.

Enter the next hallway and kill the vamps there and make a right. Follow the hallway around and enter the last door on the right, before the gate. Go through and kill the vamp on the ledge out side. Hop on it and swing past the window to the pipe and climb up. Swing over to the next ledge and jump in and a scene will show you an old dusty vamp enter. Severin says that these are Kagan’s guards and aren’t to be taken lightly. Use the vamps for food and take down the guard. When he is poofed, go to the next window and look down. There will be an air vent there to stand on. Jump on it and walk forward and around the corner. Jump up on top of the next one and then on top of the large pipe to slide into a window.

Now that you are back inside, head through the sheet covered doorway and make your way through the tube filled hallway. Run past the green capsules and you will enter a large main area with two stair cases and two machine guns. The no headed huge monsters will continue to enter from the left side while vamps will appear form either side of you. Take them all down and the gate on the left side, up the stairs will eventually open. Go through there and save your game. Now you get to square off against…The Unraveller. Sounds creepy don’t it? Well he sure is.

To fight the Unraveller you are pretty much going to be using your dragon guns the whole time. Since you don’t want to die from using your blood to power them, you’ll need to run up one of the wood beams to get to the next floor where the vamps are hanging out. When you have ammo, lock on to the Unraveller and side step his attacks as he spits things at you and let him have it. Make sure he doesn’t hit you and try to keep an eye on the vamps as well. Fire at the Unraveller and then run and grab ammo. Fire after you evade his attack and repeat. It will take a while to defeat him, but you will defeat him. After he collapses and brings everything down with him, you will enter the media center.

Why vamps are printing papers and books I dunno. Hit the power box beside the stair case to turn the press on and there will be three places to toss the bodies into. Toss the vamps into the stamping press, the roller and the web and the press will blow up and destroy the gate on the left side. Go through after it is destroyed and follow the hallway around to a large office where a female dhamphir will be. Kill her and then the rest of the vamps that enter and go through the open door. Follow the hallway around to the right and through the open doors. Enter the TV studio and there will be a fight between two of Kagan’s guards and some vamps.

Kill everyone in here and then continue through the doors and down the hall. Save the game as you enter the skybridge. After you get a look at your surroundings, fight all the enemies that appear and then head for the pool in the center. At each of the four corners around it, are some large globes. Knock all four of them off their stands and they will roll into the center and drop through. When they do, jump through the middle to the room below and you will be face to face with another one of kagan’s guards. He’ll stay on the top catwalk for a bit so if you have hammer ammo, use it and blow him out the window.

After he does, the room will fill with vamps. Kill them and then go through the door they came through. A scene will play and you will be going across the skybridge itself. As you make your way across a dhampir will approach. Take her down and then save your game. Head all the way across and a scene will play with the next boss. This time good old Xerx is in a huge suit of armor. Right off the bat I’ll tell you this battle is a pain in the ass. What you need to do is pound him in the legs with the hammer while you are on the ground so that the pink spots on his legs turn green. When they do, use the hook on them to pull them out.

The legs are actually easy to do finish off because you can run to a room in the corner of the area and stay inside where he can’t hurt you. Shoot him with the hammer and pull out the green stones while vamps run in the room where you are so you can kill them for ammo and health. Watch out when entering and leaving the room though, if Xerx, stomps you, he can send you flying over the railing and it will kill you right away. Also he has a lot of attacks that just suck because they constantly knock you down. Use rage and make a straight line to the upper catwalk. After you have the two green stones out from the legs, now the hard part starts. Run to a broken part of the cat walk that surrounds the area and jump to the poles to swing up to get on it. Fire the hammer at Xerx and two shots should be all it takes to turn the stones green. As soon as they are green pull them out as fast as you can to end the battle.

Once he falls, you will jump through the opening he makes and enter the throne room. Follow the hallway around until the scene with Kagan starts. When it is over, the battle starts. Kagan doesn’t have really too many attacks and thankfully no sun attacks. He does have a laser that he will jump up and announce that he is going to use and that will give you enough time to get out of the way. Kagan really takes the damage when you use kicks and kick combos. When he starts taking the heavy damage, he’ll run to the fountain in the center of the room and get healed. When he does that, go to the side of the room, the right side if you are facing the throne, and there is a sun gun there that will point up when you hit it. When it activates, it will cover the fountain and Kagan won’t be able to heal. You can use the fountain as well, but try to keep Kagan away from it by beating him against the sun ray gun or at least near it.

When Kagan finally does fall, the ending scene will play and you have finished one hell of a tough and great game. Congratulations!
