Chapter 6-2: What Lurks in the Shadow

To get this mission you cannot be spotted in mission 5. This alternate mission will play out the same way as the regular mission 6 with the exception that you can’t be spotted at all. If you are, the mission is failed.

Chapter 7-1: A Sister’s Promise

As you start the mission in Kuroya Manor, run up the stairs and kill the guard patrolling there. Make a left and go through the sliding door to come to a set of stairs. Head down them and around the corner at the bottom to find two more enemies patrolling. Take them out and grab the health vial beside the stairs leading down. Look down the stairs before jumping down and wait for the guard there to walk under you. Kill him and head for the end of the hall. Make a left and then a quick right and hop up the ledge there. Crawl through the opening to the right and drop out to the water room. Kill the enemy in the corner and grapple up to the ledge above you. Put your back against the wall at the door and spin around into the next room.

Creep to the corner and run and kill the kunoichi there when she turns. Head through the sliding door to the next hallway and again, wait at the corner for the next enemy to come to you. Kill her as well and the next one around the next corner on the right. When those three are dead, there will be a large staircase to the right. Head up it and watch for the two enemies at the top. Head down the hallway and go to the end where there is a revolving door on the right. Go through there and through the sliding door to trigger a scene. When the scene is over, you will be in a battle with the many swords of….Stay away from him as much as you can since his sword combos can take you down to half your health. Use caltrops and mines to kill him a lot easier. Jump out of his path when he approaches and strike at him when he is facing the opposite way. When he goes down, the mission will end.

Chapter 7-2: For whom the Bells Toll

If you grabbed the map in the previous mission, then this is the mission you will go on to. The layout is the exact same as 7-1, only a few enemies are different. Follow the same path and use the same techniques to get through this alternate mission as you did in 7-2.

Chapter 8: A Task without Reward

Now that you need to go to Goda to deliver the letter that Ayame gave you to Mimizuku. From the start, grapple up and over the large wooden wall on the far left side. Hang and wait for the archer on the other side to turn and then pull up. Nail him with your blow gun and hop down. Head to the right through the grass and trees and hop on top of the hut there. There will be two more enemies, one to the left and one at the far right on top of a slope. Sneak up on him and take him down as he turns. Head cross the bridge there to complete this very short and simple mission.

Chapter 9: Foreign Lands

As soon as the mission starts, you will be facing off against three enemies. Take them down and a scene will play if you don’t defeat all three. Move forward afterwards and grab the health vial on the right side of the passage. Continue forward and head around the corner on the right. Take out the two enemies there walking and continue to follow the pathway, through the tunnel to the other side. Continue to follow the path and make your way to the slope in the far left corner. Before you run up there though, you can run up the slope to the right to find a red box that will contain a dog bone. Once you have it, head up the opposite slope and when you reach the wooden doors at the top, the mission will end..

Chapter 10-1: Flames of Passion

If you defeated the three enemies at the beginning of the previous mission, then you will start this mission. From the start, jump on top of the hut to the left and wait for the basket heads to separate. Jump off and kill the first and then wait for the second to come over. When both are dead, go under the archway and make a left up the path. Continue to follow the path left and down the rocky slope until you come to a wooden building. Grapple up to the roof and drop down on the basket head below. Continue to follow the path behind the building and jump over the two gaps in the path. When you reach the other side, make a right and you will come to an open area with three basket heads.

While the two at the far right are talking, run and jump up on the ledge to take out the one patrolling there. When he is down, wait for the other two to split up and take them each out separately. Make your way to the next wooden hut and go through the open in the side of the hill. Grab the flash bomb there and make your way back to the destroyed bridge. Drop down to the ledge beside it and jump to grab the rope. Shimmy your way across the bridge and drop down at the other side. Pull yourself up when you reach the other side and when the basket head up the stairs is turned. Kill him and head down the stairs and across the bridge. When you get to the other side, make your way across the path and up the stairs to the right, killing the basket heads along the way. Enter the large wooden door at the top of the stairs and you will deliver the message.

As the scene plays with Futaba and Rin, the battle with both her and Hitoha will start after the scene is over. Since you have to fight both of them at the same time, focus your attacks on Hitoha before you attack Futaba. Use the caltrops as usual and nail him when ever he steps on them. He has a nasty punch attack that he uses, so make sure that you stay away from him when he charges you. Give him a few hits when he does the sore foot dance and he will go down pretty easily. Now you need to take on Futaba. She has a few attacks but she also seems to block a lot except when she is shooting her darts. Stay still and let her start to fire them at you. When she does, run to the side and slowly get closer to her while she is still firing. Start hitting her while she is trying to aim at you and you will hit her every time. After a good combo, back off to the center of the area and repeat the same pattern. Once you have nailed her enough times, a scene with an old friend will begin

Chapter 10-2: Flames of Sorrow

If you didn’t defeat the three enemies at the beginning of the previous mission, you will be on this path. The layout for this alternate mission is exactly the same as 10-1, the only difference is that his time instead of just making your way to the end, there are statues along the way that you need to turn. Look at the map and there will be red dots spread out all over. These are the statue locations. Make your way to each one as you follow the above guide and walk up to each statue to turn it. When you reach the end, the mission is complete.

Chapter 11-1: Dance of Swords

Follow the path forward and stop at the top of the slope. Wait for the guard to come over and take him down. Continue along the path there and follow it to the right and go through the tunnel. Grapple to the roof across from you and there will be three guards around the area. Get the drop on each one and head through the wooden door in the center of the far wall. When you enter the next area, immediately grapple to the roof ahead of you and hop over the roofs and go right. Land on the ground and make your way to the far wall where the geisha is walking on front of the large temple entrance. Hang on the wall under her and pop up when she turns.

Run into the temple and make a right and crawl through the opening at the end of the hall. When you come out on the other side, there will be a geisha at the far end of the hall. Wait until she turns and walks to the left. Run around the corner when she goes and head up the stairs on the left. When you get to the top, jump over the railing on the right and head to the white screens to trigger the boss battle. To defeat Ranzou you can use the same technique that you have been using on all the bosses so far. Throw down the caltrops and go to town on him when he starts his dance. Keep focused on Ranzou and a scene will play as he runs away.

Chapter 12: Tenchu Kurenai

After the opening scene, grapple up to the top of the fence and drop down on the guard on the other side. Head west to the large open wooden doors and peek around the corner. Run down the stone ramp there and jump up on the railing. Look down to see a guard there and jump on his head to take him out. Continue to go west and at the far wall behind the building will be Manjirou. Walk up to him to talk to him and he will tell you where to find Jyuzou. Head north and you will see a set of stairs leading down to a wooden door with a guard in front of it. When he turns, make the long dash to kill him quietly. Go through the door to the next area and climb the scaffolding on the left side. Run to the far side of it and make your way right. When the guard on the other side turns, jump over to his platform and kill him. Hop down to the ground and hide behind the wall to the north before the kunoichi there sees you. Climb up on top of it and jump over to the tower beside her. Drop down from it and kill her and then enter the large doors. Now the final two boss battles will take place.

The first boss has a guitar that is also a gun. To beat him, you can pretty much use the same technique that you used on Futaba. The caltrops trick won’t work since he rarely comes after you. Run while he shoots at you and slowly close in on his position. When you get close and he is still firing at you, give him some combos and run away. Keep repeating the same pattern and he will fall. After the battle with him, you will face Jyuzou. Sadly this is pretty much the easiest boss fight of the game. Near the boats on the beach there is a small rock. Run away from him and crouch down behind the rock. When he approaches you, the alert meter will change from !! to !? and he will come over to you and jump over the rock. When he does jump over it, stand up and wail on him in his back. Run away from him to the other side of the rock and continue doing this pattern until he is defeated. You can even beat him with out getting hit once doing this. Once he is down, sit back and watch the extremely long ending and congratulate yourself on finishing the game.
