Everything you'll need to know to survive Eidos' futuristic shooter.

Mission One - Arrival:

As you first start the game, you will be a regular soldier part of a defending force. Move forward as the battle rages and grab the items around on the ground. When you view a scene, the enemies will then start attacking and dropping. Kill them as they appear and eventually you will be told the area is clear. Head to the right of the area and go through the door way. Follow the hallway there around and there will be a save door on the left. Use it if you like and continue to the next battle area. Continue to fight the enemies in this area until a scene plays showing some combat bots enter. Toss grenades to take them down easily. When the two bots are down, clear out the area of the remaining troops and head through the doorway on the right to the next objective. When you enter this next area, there will be a stationary gun you can use to mow down the enemies as they enter. After a few more rushes of enemies, more combat bots will enter from the far right side. Use grenades to destroy them and a chopper will appear right after. Head back up to the stationary gun again and use it to take it down quickly. Once the chopper is toast, watch the scene as the mission ends.

Mission Two – Rebirth:

After the long introduction scene, finish talking to the two doctors and your objective will be to go to the armory. Head out of the room and make a right. A soldier will talk to you and tell you that he will lead you to the armory. Follow him and enter to grab your pistol and carbine. When you have them, head back to the hallway and make a left. Follow it to the end and make a right and then enter the first room on the left. Talk to the doctor there and you get some nifty new gadgets for your eyes. Head out of the room to the hallway and make a right. Enter the room there and crawl through the opening to enter a storage room. Grab the Kinetic Kicker off the ground and you will have a snazzy new weapon you can use to lift objects with. Smash the crates in the room to get some goodies and head back out of the room.



Head to the end of the hallway and make a left until you reach the door with the green lights above it. The guards will let you in and there will be some commotion around the corner. Grab the Icepick on the left side, and use it to hack the control panel. Pull the R trigger to fire and then again to hack. Select the second turret and use it to destroy the one rolling around on the ground. Once it is blown, the door will open and allow you to enter. Head to the opening at the far end and enter the office there. Grab the gear off the desk and you will be told that you are being waited on in the war room. Head back out of the room and make a left to the hallway. Head to the end where the large war room is and enter to talk to the colonel there. After the scene of the attack plan, head back out of the war room and down the hall. Follow the gang of troops running to the launch pad and another scene will play to end the mission.

Mission Three – Ambush:

After the opening scene, you will be in the streets with your squad. Move forward as you take out any enemies in your way. Head to the first open door on the left and follow it through to the rear alley. Climb over the fence to the right and used the icepick on the door around the right corner. Climb the ladder and go through the vent system there. Kill the stationary gunner in the next room and help to clear out the enemies on the street and across in the next building. Watch for enemies that run in to the room through the door on the left and take them out as well. Head through and down the stairs and out to the street. Clear out enemies here as you make your way into the building across from you. Head up the stairs there and clear out the top floor. Head through the vent on the left wall and you will come out to an alley. Follow it to the left and around the corner to the street and a scene will play with a tank rolling. Turn right and use the rocket launcher to destroy it.



When it is toast, help the squad clear out the rest of the enemies on the street and continue along to the large tunnel on the left. Continue down the tunnel and take out the enemies along the way. When you come to a ladder on the right, climb up and take out the rpg soldier just ahead. Enter the door on the right and there will be a save room there. Continue forward down the corridor and through the door at the end. Make a left and follow the squad into the next building. You will get a call from Chung who will tell you to get to the next floor and use the radio to call in an airstrike. Head to the end of the corridor and up the stairs there. Head past the machine gun into the office there and there radio will be on the wall. Use it and head back out and down the stairs to the street. Head across to the door across from you to the building on the other side. Head up the stairs there and follow the ledge from room to room. The middle room with have the control panel to open the loading doors and at that time a tank will appear in the street. Use the rpg to take it out and make your way back down to the street. Enter the door that is marked by the loading bay sign and follow your squad to the door at the end to end the mission.

Mission Four – Interference:

Follow the squad the alley on the right and continue past it. Make a left and enter the building at the far end and follow the stairs to the top. Grab the health increase there and make your way back down. Head across the alley to the open door and Chung will be standing there. Talk to him and he will tell you to take a position at the windows to buy Pitney some time. Make a right and then swing around to the left, past the stairs, to the windows on the right. Take a stand here and mow down the troops that appear at the windows until you get another call from Chung. When you do, head back down the hallway and up the stairs. Make a left at the top and another quick left to find Chung in front of a door. Talk to him and a scene will play as you get your Ballistic Shielding. Head through the door when you are back in control and head to the left. Go down the stairs and take out the enemies along the way. When you reach the bottom, a scene will play.



When you are back in control, your gear will slowly come back. Go through the door there and you will run into Pitney and Chung. Listen to them blab on and then go to the control panel and open the hatch. It seems there is someone else stopping you from opening it, so make your way back through the door you came through and through the next at the bottom of the stairs. Make a right and clear out the enemies behind the glass. When you reach the corner, the door on the right will open and there will be some stairs there. Clear it out as you go up and move the crate from the window. Use the speed augmentation and hop up through the window and across the catwalk to take out the gunner there. Clear out the room as you enter it and head down the stairs there. When you reach the bottom, hang a left and the hack and his friends will be there. Kill them and use the panel there and disable the jam. As you do, it seems there is another hacker. Head back up the stairs and out the window to the catwalk. Kill the rush of enemies that come and head up the stairs to grab the sniper rifle at the end.



Crouch down and pop the enemy standing to the right up high that you can see through the hole in the wall there. When he’s toast, head back down the stairs to the street and make a left and run to the door at the end where the fence is. When you enter the room there, you will be told to stay away from the windows as explosions go off. When they stop, head back out the door and the fence will be destroyed. Run through to the building across the street and enter it. Head up the stairs and the second computer panel will be there beside the stationary machine gun. Hack it and a scene will play with more badass enemies showing up. Use the stationary gun to take down most of them and then head down the stairs. Run across the street to the opening and head up the stairs. Make a left and follow the corridor around to another set of stairs and go down. Enter the door to the right and you will be back at the hatch with Pitney. Jump down and follow the squad to the end of the hall to complete the mission.

Mission Five - Rampage:

Make your way forward and head to the right. There will be two guards in the room at the end and one standing in the corner. Take them out as you wish and enter the red room to get a load of supplies. Exit and go through the door on the right to the parking garage. Walk up the right side and make your way to the car there. Hop in it and take off down the driveway. Now you will go through various parts of the parking garage that will have traps and enemies all over the place. When you get to the second area, you will need to get out of the car and blow up the red barrel in front of the metal fence. Drive through the area it opens and continue following the objective from garage to garage. The last garage will have mines all over the place in it, but the main goal is to reach the security office on the right side. Hop out of the car when you reach it and clear out the office. Use the alarm switch on the wall and the blue force field door in the office will open, allowing you to pass the rather short mission.

Mission Six – Destroy:

Walk forward out of the doorway as the mission begins and make a left. Hide behind the pillars there. Start taking out the enemies here and if they run to the alarm, blue force fields will appear blocking the paths. Turn them off by using the red switch on the wall and continue to the end. Go through the door there and make a right down the corridor. Again clear it out of enemies and make a left through the door at the end. When you enter, the rail cannon will be at the far right corner. To destroy it, you need to wait for the vents at the base of it to open. When they open, toss a frag grenade in there and the cannon will blow. Now there are three cannons left. Exit the room through the door you came through and go back out in to the hall. Make a left and then a right around the corner. Continue down and enter the first room on the right. Kill the enemies in there and head to the next room on the left.



Continue through the steam filled room and into the next hall. Make a right at the end of it and kill the guard there. Hack the turret at the next doorway and shoot the camera at the far end of the hall. Go through the corridor and enter the first door on the right. There will be a cannon on the left side of the room to destroy. Wait for the vents to open and toss in a grenade to take it down. Two down, two to go. Head to the fence in the room on the right and climb over. Head for the doorway there and make a right to the save room at the end. Head aback out and continue to the end of the hallway you were just in and enter the door at the end. Now you will be in a long hallway with red lasers on the right and gunship out the windows to the left. Run down the hall to the end and enter the door quickly.



There will be a camera on the wall, so quickly enter the next door and you will find the third cannon. Head up the left side of the room and destroy it and clear out the room of enemies. Climb up the ladder at the far end and some little spider bots will drop out to make you snow blind. Kill them and use the security panel to deactivate the camera and trip wires on the lower floor. Head back down the ladder to go through where the trip wires were to get some goodies from the cabinet there. Head back up the ladder and down the stairs on the right and go through the doorway. Kill the enemies in the hall as you go right and through the door at the end.



Use the save door there and continue down the hall and you will come to a hallway with red trip wires. Use the crates on the left side to hop over the firs set and then crawl under the second set. There is a locked door on the right you can hack into if you like, but other wise continue to the end and go through the rail room door there. Enter the room and go up the stairs on the right. Kill everyone in here and use the same grenade trick to blow up the final rail cannon. Once it is blown, head down the ladder and through the door at the far corner to watch a scene. Now your goal is to hack the republic mainframe. Walk forward and around the corner at the end. Run to the stairs at the far side and head up to the red lasers. Jump to the right and walk forward. Head left and around the catwalk there to the end. Punch or shoot the glass to go through and use the panel there to hack the mainframe.

Mission Seven – Freedom:

After the opening scene, walk forward and to the left to grab the riot wall from the crate there. Grab the goodies from the supply rooms on the right and head up the stairs. Go through the door and around the corner and take out the enemies there. If the alarm gets triggered, shut it off and make your way to the end of the corridor. Go through the jail door there on the left and head down the stairs. Take out the camera there and go through the door on the right. Kill everyone in the next room and continue to the end to another camera. Blast it and head up the stairs. When you reach the top, you’ll come to a hallway going left and right.



Head left through the gate and kill the guard there. Now you will be where the controls to the prison are. Use the camouflage and take out the camera between the gun turrets. Head to the computer panel at the end and activate it. Head back to the entrance and head down the stairs on with the left or right. When you are on the lower floor, head to the doorway at the far end and there will be a squad waiting there. Toss an EMP grenade around the corner, at the turret there and follow the squad forward and around the corner. Now there will be a mad rush of enemies that enter the area. Use grenades and spider bots to help kill them all quickly and safely. When they are all dead, head for the elevator at the rear of the room under the catwalk and the mission will end.

Mission Eight – Riot:

Walk forward and listen to the Sgt.’s speech about the doctor that you need to find. When he’s done talking, the gate will open and you can proceed. Head around the corner and take out the guard and the turret there by shooting the red barrel behind them. Make a right up the ramp that the prisoners run down. When you reach the top, you will be in a large room with many containers and catwalks. Make a right and follow the path between the containers around until you come to a ladder. Head across the gaps by jumping over them and enter the opening in the container. Head through the door at the end of it and you will enter another large area filled with soldiers and a walker. Drop the soldiers on the ground and head for the walker. Hop in it and head to the right and follow the path there.



Help your squad by taking out the guards on the containers and catwalk. When you get around the corner and to the far end, there will be a save door there. Hop out and run to it. After you save, head back out and climb up the ladder to the left. Hop through the broken container down to the ground and follow the path around the corner. Open the door on the left and pop the guard there. Use the computer on the left wall to open some cells and continue through the next door. When you enter the area here, there will be the cells you just opened and the Dr. Liaw will be in the center cell. Talk to him and some more guards will enter where you just came through. Take them out quickly by staying in the cell and picking off the enemies you can see. When they are toast, run out to the center and make sure you nail the rpg soldier on the top level before he nails you and the doc. When the enemies are down, run back through the door in the center and watch the mission ending scene.

Mission Nine – Return:

As the mission starts, break the crates there and grab the H.E.R.F. and takes a few steps forward. A few enemies and a walker will enter the room. Use the HERF or rockets to take them down. Hop up on the crates to the left of the door and pop the enemies in the next area through the opening in the wall. When all is quiet, head through the door and go left. Follow the path way around between the buildings and kill the soldiers as you come across them. Head to the next area and snipe the two soldiers there and make your way right, around the corner. Climb the ladder that is there, and you will be on the roof of the pagoda’s. Hop across to the next and in the corner will be an open window.



Jump in the building and follow it around the hallway and over the whole in the floor. If the alarm is going off, there will be a field there. Wait for it to go down and continue around to a security panel. Hack it to release a walker and continue down the hallway to the next open window. Hop out and you will be on another rooftop. Head to the right and across the far area, you will see the walker there. There will be two combat bots around the front of it and some soldiers. Snipe the soldiers and make a run for the Walker. Hop in it and take out the combat bots. When all is quiet, hop out and clear the area of crates and supplies and head up the ladder to the right of where the walker first was. Follow the rooftop around to the right and around the corner to a blown out hole in the top. Climb in and save your game.

Mission Ten - Infiltrate:

Now that you are inside the base, you need to get to the war room and talk to Kanazawa. Make your way forward and to the right. Pop the two cameras in the hallway here and enter the room on the left. Grab a metal crate and place it in front of the large stack of crates and jump up on to it and make your way over the red lasers that you passed as you entered. Crawl through the vent there and move the crates blocking your exit when you get to the end. Walk out into the hallway and pop the camera there. Continue to the end of the hall and around the next corner will be another camera at the far end. Pop it and continue to the door on the left. Enter here and there is a control panel there you can hack if you want to have a sentry bot follow you around. If not just ignore it and continue around the corner to the red lasers.



There will be a save door on the right so use it. Head back down the ladder and run through the lasers. Turn off the alarm each time you do and head around the corner. Use the control panel in the room on the left around the corner to open the courtyard doors. Take out the combat bot and continue into the yard. Take out the two turrets on each side and continue through the door on the far end. Make your way to the end of the hall and make a left there to enter the room. Use the control panel to open the temple door outside the room and use the security panel to disable the camera and tripwires in the next hallway. Head out and make a left and head for the door at the end of the hall on the right side. Grab the goods from the cabinet there and use the control panel to open the war room door. Head out of the room and across to the next hall and enter the hallway there with the red lasers. Duck under the first set, use the crate to jump over the second and again crawl under the third. Enter the door to the war room and watch the scene.



Now you need to get yourself to the server room and hack the system. Grab one of the crates in the war room and carry it with you back under the first set of beams. Drop and hop over the next and then duck under the third again. Make your way back down the hall and make a left at the end. Kill the camera there and continue around the corner to a room on the right with a ladder. Climb up it and go through the vent there to come out on a catwalk above red lasers below. Walk forward on the catwalk and drop down between the two sets. Enter the door there and walk around the computers in the center until you find the control panel. Use it and a scene will play as you set them up the bomb.
