The Final Strike:

Enter the first room and it will be a hint of things to come. Take down the spiderbot, the bodyguard and then the SBD’s and droidekas that appear. Use the placements since you will get slaughtered if you don’t. When the rush of enemies is over, head through the door and follow the ramp up through the corridor. After you destroy more SBD’s and droideka’s, you will come to a grey metal door on the right. Sev will man the turret there while the rest of delta works its way higher. Follow the corridor up and through a room with more bugs and bodyguards until you reach the second of the metal doors. Fixer will take the second turret leaving you and Scorch to move on. Continue through the hallway destroying the SBD’s and droideka’s by using the barrels on the sides to inflict more damage. When you reach a large room, you will have to take on a spiderbot as well as some genosians. Use the sniper spot and go to town on it.

Once it is destroyed, head through the next door and you will need to use your low light to see through the darkness. Kill the bugs along the way and head for the next room. There will be another spiderbot in here, but send delta to slice the door panel and you can just avoid fighting it. Head through the door and up the ramp and you will come to the next metal grey door. Have Fixer man the turret and then you are off on your own. Enter the next door and follow the corridor until you reach the hallway with bugs and eggs hanging from the ceiling. Start killing everything in sight. If you don’t they will sneak up behind you later on. Kill all the bugs and baby bugs and make your way to the end of the corridor. Go through the metal grey door at the end to find your turret. Hop on it if you have killed all the bugs in the previous room and then target the ship above you. Aim at the objective marker and fire until the marker changes location. When it does, move to the next and keep firing. Once you have hit all the required spots, you can sit back and relax and watch the ending scenes to the game.

Congratulations!

Yggdra Union is a surprising disappointment.
Grid is an admirable attempt at doing “serious” racing on the DS. Technically impressive, with solid gameplay and plenty of variety, the game will satisfy the mild-to-moderate gearhead.
