Cabin

For this first tutorial mission, all you need to do is follow the onscreen instructions. Blast the Deadites as they enter the cabin and learn how to use combos with your shotgun and chainsaw. You will learn how to target enemies and how to finish them off once and for all. Once you have cleared out the cabin of all the enemies they throw at you, a scene will play and the real game will begin.

Sunny Meadows Asylum

Now that Ash is locked up in the looney bin, it’s time to break out of there and get your goods back. After the opening scene, head down the lighted hallway and run to the end. Watch the scene and then you will have yourself a weapon. Shoot the deadite that attacks and continue around the corner to the right. Head up the stairs and you will come to a security office. Target the window and shoot it and climb through. Pull the lever there and hop back out. Make your way through the open gate and to the end of the hall. Make a right and go through the door and you will come to a large room. Kill the few deadites in here and then head through the door that the one deadite smashes through. Head down the hall and use the save point there. Continue down and head through the door at the end of the hall to enter another large room.

Use the elevator on the left and a scene will play. After it is over, shoot all the furniture that comes at you and doors and then head through the middle door. Go up the stairs and smash the crates there for some life. Enter the door there and walk to the elevator and press the button for a scene. Once it is over, kill the deadites that appear and a door at the far end will open. Head through it and you will come to an electrified hallway at the end. Hop over the electrical beams and wait for the others to disappear and make a left to find more. Make your way past them and pull the lever at the end. Kill the deadites that get up and head back down the hall. Make a left to the end and head left again.

Doors will close as you pass them and make a right at the next hallway to enter an elevator. Watch the scene and then continue down the hallway. When you reach the corner, some rats will break out of a box there. Kill them and continue to the right. There will be a save point to the left to use if you want. There will also be an open door way that has boards cross it when you approach. Ignore it for now but you’ll be coming back to it in a second. Head down the hall to the end and there will be a floor that is electrified. Enter the room on the left and target the transformers. Shoot them all out and then you can cross the water.

Head to the end of the hall and follow it around to the morgue. Enter the back room on the right and find your trusty chainsaw and shotgun. After you kill all the deadites that get up, head back out of the room and around to the save point where the boarded up doorway was. Smash through it with the chainsaw and then climb up the ledge and ladder on the left. Wall creep along the ledge and enter the large room there. Head for the open door across from you and a scene will play. Now it’s another deadite slaughter. Kill them all and head through the door that opens for you. Head down the hallway and enter the door at the end. Enter the doctor’s office and press the bust and globe to open a secret passage. Head down the stairs and follow the hallway around to the end.

Now you will run into the little fellow that was on the electrified bed previously. Static Cling as Ash calls him, has a few attacks that he uses. They are a shockwave of electricity that shoots across the floor, pillars of electricity, electrifying the water in the room and his final attack is where he creates little electricity men to attack. When the battle starts, he will charge the water and shoot out a shockwave. Hop over it and wait for his lightning around him to die down. When it does, run up to him and slash away with your chainsaw. After a few seconds, he will get his charge back and attack again. Avoid his charge attacks and when he creates the little electricity men, shoot them and then he will be open for an attack. After a few attacks with the chainsaw, “Static Cling” will be down for the count.

Sunny Meadow Cemetery

After the opening scene, you will be able to kick Sam around a little to test him out. When you are done having your fun, enter the window to the right and enter the building. Pull the lever on the wall by the body and then target the open hatch. Kick Sam in and then head through the newly formed hole. Head down the stairs and through the gate and you will enter the cemetery. Kill the skeletons that appear out of the ground until a scene shows the next gate open. Save at the save point and then continue to the branches blocking the stairs. Chop through them and continue to see a huge deadite and two with shovels. Kick Sam on to the deadites with shovels and then attack them. When they are dead, head to the gate and a scene with Sam will play. Walk across the bridge and use the possession point to take control of Sam.

Head into the water and run to the small opening. Crawl through and when you reach the far end, some rats will come running out of another hole on the left. Kill them and then crawl through the hole. When you get on the other side, you will be above the huge deadite. Climb on his head and lead him back to the main gate. Have him smash it open by pressing Y and then Sam will get killed. This will happen A LOT during this game so get used to it. Once you are back in control of Ash, head for the gate and the huge deadite will be there. To take it down, you need to kick Sam on to its head and then attack it. After each attack you make on it, skeletons and more deadites will appear. Take them out and continue to kick Sam onto the huge deadites head. After it falls, enter the graveyard and kill the deadites that appear in your way.

Once you reach the end, where there are two deadites on the roof, kill them and then make a right to enter the cave Sam was it. Chop the branches inside to get yourself some life out of the vases and a life extension at the far end. Head back out and head through the gate. Now you will run into Peepers. Peepers is a soul eater and you need to gather three souls to make it go to sleep so you can pass it. Since Sam can only get the souls, you need to protect him once he does get it. Enter the doorway to the right of Peepers. Enter the gate there and slash the egg inside.

Press Y to have Sam get the soul and then protect him as he runs back to Peepers. Some times he will just run where ever he wants, but it will lead back to Peepers whether it is the long way or the short way. When you get back to Peepers, target him and then kick Sam into his mouth to feed him the soul. Once you have one of them, you need to get the other two. The second is easily found through the door to the left of Peepers but the third ones will always give you trouble since there is an additional enemy, a grim reaper type dude, floating around. There is also a save point in the doorway to the left of Peepers that you should use after each soul you get. Once you finally have all three of the souls, and have kicked Sam in, Peepers will open his mouth and snooze off. Walk into his mouth and continue to the next area.
