Chapter One: Tip Of The Spear

Welcome To Delta

Welcome to the Roughnecks! Rico’s Roughnecks! Wait, sorry wrong game. Welcome to Jacinto. As you get introduced to Carmine you can choose to train him or not. If you need to complete the training other than for your achievement, you shouldn’t be playing this game. However, if you do feel the need to do the training, for the achievement of course, do so. You don’t need a guide to walk you through it since it tells you everything you need to do on the screen. If you do need a guide for it, seriously, just back away right now.

Desperation

Now that the action has started, head towards the auto doors and make your way through the hospital. After your introduction to Tai, the path is pretty straight forward. Head up the stairs and past the patients until you get a message from Anya. Peep out the windows over the courtyard and keep your cross hairs on the oxygen tanks in the center. Wait for the locust to show up and blow them sky high by shooting the tanks. Continue down the hall once the power comes back on and there will be a side room to grab a doctor’s journal to add to your collection.

Continue following the gang listening to Tai. Enter the door on the left to enter a large room and clear it out of locusts, both upper and lower. Continue down the hall on the left and make a right at the end. Clear out more locusts and head down the stairs to meet up with Dom and Tai again. Head through the double doors and continue towards reception. Enter the large courtyard and cut across entering the building on the far side. Follow the hallway around to the cafeteria and clear out the locusts waiting. Continue through to the far end and heap up the stairs on the left after the copter crashes.

Go through the door on the left there and continue down the stairs to come to the reception area. As the locusts come in through the doors, take them out one door at time and enter the center door when they are down. Talk to Carmine and head outside. Run across the street and hop through the window to enter the store and come around behind the locusts at the end of the hall. Make your way back outside and clear the path to the end of the street.

Rolling Thunder

All aboard Betty! As the rigs roll out sit tight for awhile until the locusts start to show up. Once they do, hop on the turret and start taking out the Nemacysts that are heading towards Betty. Once they are cleared, some Reavers will show up to crash the party. Take them out as well. After you travel a bit more, Betty will have a hissy fit and you will need to protect Dizzy while he fixes her up. Hop down to the ground and use the cover there to take out the locusts coming up the emergence holes. Once Dizzy has it fixed, run back to the ladder and keep clearing out the locusts as they appear. Once the remaining few are taken down another scene will play.

The Big Push

After the scene, a swarm of locusts will come up. Use the turret to mow them down and to take some shots at the other locusts that come calling. As the two rigs drive side by side, grapplers will appear and hijack the other rig. Kill the locusts on it and wait for Dizzy to smash Betty into the side of it, smashing the driver’s window. When the glass is shattered, kill the driver to avoid falling to your death in a fiery wreckage. Once the driver is killed, a scene will play and you will continue on your merry way, until the Brumak’s show up. Use the turret and aim for its head and wait for a couple more to show up. Stay on the turret and wait for the Corpser to appear and lay into it until it submerges again. Kill the next Brumak and a scene will play when it goes down.

Roadblocks

Now that you are back on foot, you get to deal with the skittering and exploding tickers. Kick the door a few times across the street open it and head through the interior. Kill the tickers that appear and make your way to the right to get outside. Kill the remaining tickers there and head through the alleyway. Break down the boards blocking the alley and enter the next clearing to find more tickers. Kill them and make your way to the right. You need to head left here at the end of the street, but if you go to the right, there is a memorial you can read about the Pendulum wars.

Continue to the left and you will spot some Nemacysts. Head up to the gas station and use the car to the left as cover from air strikes and the troika on the roof. Pop some of the locusts on the ground and a raven will fly in to take care of the troika once the Nemacysts have been removed. There will be another troika to the left, but take a few shots at it and a centaur will roll up to give you a helping hand. Once the area is clear, head to the fence opening on the right and go through to the tunnel entrance. Head into the tunnel and make your way forward killing the tickers that appear.

Once you come to the door on the left, enter and go through to continue down the tunnel. Wait for dizzy to bring the light and continue on. Once you reach the end, a Reaver will show up begging for you to kill it. Comply and head into the streets and you will be given a choice of the hotel or rooftops. Either one is pretty straight forward so make your choice and get through it quickly to come to another Brumak that will be coming out of a tunnel. Use the mortar on it to take it down and another scene will play.
