Continue moving through the flooded hallways of the facility until you meet up with Hawthorne at the locked gate. He'll open the door to you left, which allows you to proceed. Move through the room with the large pipes and wait for Hawthorne to open the door at the far end. In the next room are a small series of drones and some hybrids along the back wall. Take out the drones before trying to navigate through the pump room; additionally, take out the three hybrids on the far side before jumping over there. Through the windows to the other side of the pump room, you ought to be able to take out the hybrids waiting there. Use a grenade to eliminate the trio standing on the catwalk first. The others can be singled out quickly after that. Before leaving the pump room, grab the Fareye sniper rifle--you want it to take out a few enemies up ahead. In the hallway preceding the moon pool room, pick up two grenades on a crate to your left.

Moon Pool Room
As you see once the door to the room lifts, it's crawling with hybrids. Take as many out as you can using the Fareye. Stay far enough back that you can't get chewed up by Bullseye fire. There are three hybrids on each side of the room. Once you've killed all six, a few more stream in at the center walkway. With the room cleared, head up to the glass room on the right to begin sealing the flood locks. [INTEL #5: In the circular control room that you enter here, some documents can be collected on the terminal in the center of the room.] The moment you enter the room you'll need to kill a hybrid attempting an ambush; additionally, there's another waiting on the center walkway below. Hit the switch for the second moon pool door and then head over to the other side to trigger the first door. After getting a glimpse of what's to come, head down the hallway.

Med Clinic
A quick jaunt brings you to the generator room. Head to ground level via the elevator and continue forward--it's a linear path with no where else to go. [INTEL #4: Before entering the pipe, search the crates in the area for these documents.] You should reach a big pipe--hang back because a bunch of drones will attack you from that position. Avoid their fire by walking back and then coming forward to pop shots at them with either Bullseye or Carbine. With the drones taken care off, drop down to the flooded floor. Go down the path to the right to encounter a shielded drone. Don't shoot at it or walk near it--it'll kill you! Hang back until it moves, following Maj. Blake's instructions exactly.

First, run left as instructed to the two crates. Crouch there and wait until the two drones pass. Rush again to the left where there's a bunch of crates. Navigate through them to the right. Be careful not to get caught up in the crates, particularly once the drones start firing at you. If you time it right, you can jump over a couple crates, but it's best to just run through. Continue until you see a metal grate underwater. Head into it to avoid being spotted by the drones that pass overhead. Once the coast is clear, run up the stairs, turn left, and bolt for the door up ahead.

You should now be in a room featuring a central platform surrounded by water. Although there's a fury in the water, you need to jump in and quickly swim to the platform. Time it so that the fury is on the opposite side of the room when you dive. When you get on top of the platform, hybrids will come down the elevator. Take them out, using the pillars for cover. A well-thrown grenade works great to take all three out in one swift blow. Getting up to the elevator demands the same strategy to cross the water as before--just time it right to hop over to the stairway. Exit the elevator and meet up with Dr. Malikov in the clinic.

After conversing with Dr. Malikov, exit the clinic and turn right. Take out the hybrids that run in and proceed down the corridor. As you continue through the facility, you should encounter a pair of SRPA soldiers fighting a Ravager. Chuck a grenade to soften the beast up and unload some bullets to take him out. Be careful to dodge his beam, as it will zap your health pretty quickly. Go up the stairs as soon as the Ravager is dead to clear the next room of hybrids. Amazingly enough, you don't need to worry about protecting Dr. Malikov. Not only is he a good shot, but invincible--the computer ensures he stays alive.

Clearing the hybrids in the pool room can be difficult due to their placement on two different levels on both sides of the room. Start by crouching at the top of the stairs and taking out the hybrids situation on the far side of the room. Once killed, move into the room and defeat the enemies camped out to the right on the overpass. There's a Ravager waiting for you there, so tread cautiously. Before continuing, grab the Pulse Cannon as instructed by Dr. Malikov. [INTEL #7: Pick up the documents from the computer terminal in the center of the room before leaving.]

Good thing you listen to that crazy doctor. Fire up the pulse cannon to quickly scare off the Kraken. It should only take a couple hits before he skitters away, leaving you to jump across the water to the fallen walkway. There's a fury in the water, so don't go swimming. Now that you're across, take the elevator to the surface.

San Francisco Bay
The impressive sight of the Chimera fleet invading San Francisco greets you, but no time for sightseeing! Head down the flight of stairs to the left of the elevator to reach the waterfront, following Dr. Malikov's lead. You'll meet up with a defending platoon of SRPA forces battling hybrids taking cover behind a line of sandbags. A Fareye sniper rifle can be found on a crate on the right side of the battle area, which makes it easy to eliminate the hybrids by hanging back. Of course, you're welcome to fire at them with a Bullseye or Carbine too. You could even hang onto the Pulse Cannon to obliterate them, plus it earns precious kills toward the "Exotic Weapon Collector" trophy.

Move forward with your comrades in the push to the extraction zone. Naturally, there's a ton of Chimera resistance along the way. The Fareye is particularly effective here, but be aware that hybrids will run up the ramps on either side of you. Keep an eye on enemy movement to prevent being killed from a flank assault. Once you've killed all the hybrids in this first section, keep the Fareye (if there's any ammo left) for use against a group of enemies that appear on the second story of a maintenance building just ahead. If you're out of bullets, just fire a homing tag with the Bullseye and shoot them out while taking cover behind one of the adjacent buildings.

Once those hybrids are toast, move forward to eliminate another batch. A few appear at your level and some on a metal platform higher up. Here you have a choice: take them out yourself or chicken out and let your computer buddies do it for you. [INTEL #8: Before running to the helicopter, search the final set of crates before the landing pad for this document.] With these hybrids gone, you can make a run to the helicopter and evacuate . . .

Landing Platform
. . . or not. Dr. Malikov's insistence on getting the viral inhibitors from the SRPA underwater complex means going back in. Leaving the extraction point means facing a tough battle against two Titans in the section immediately below the helipad. Resist the temptation to run down the corridor ahead of you; instead, run to the right corner to pick up a LAARK that will make short work of the Titans. Additionally, grenades help and there's several scattered about. If worse comes to worse, just riddle them with Carbine fire. Naturally you want to avoid the Titans' attack, but be particularly careful of their ability to launch cars at you. Should that occur, quickly sprint out of the way. If you have trouble here, focus on equipping high-powered weapons like the LAARK and aiming well. It only should take two well-placed rockets to down a Titan.

Now that you've sunk the Titans, you can take the elevator up ahead underground. Step out into the flooded room and venture to the left. Pay special attention to the water as there are some furies swimming around. Climb up the rocks in order to jump to the next patch of land, then continue by jumping to another rock path. Getting through the room means jumping across more platforms in this same way, so just keep an eye out for viable platforms and jump carefully. Upon reaching the broken metal walkway, a solo hybrid will run out, so dispatch him quickly. Jump across to the other side when you're done.

Continue into the base to reach a hallway filled with burning crates. Before heading into the med clinic, move forward down the hall to reach a small ammo cache that contains some grenades. Also, a Rossmore shotgun is a temption proposition for the fight ahead, so swap that in. Now go into the med clinic to collect the viral inhibitors. Time to haul butt back to the helicopter!

Exit the med clinic and you immediately encounter drones and hybrids. Use the stairs as a cover point to destroy them all. [INTEL #3: This final document in the San Francisco mission is nesting between two large tanks.] Move forward until you stumble into a room with a series of burning crates. Taking out the hybrids hiding between the crates and the stairs lining the room can be tricky, so be quick with your shots. One trick is to aim at hybrids using the spaces between crates. This way, you can kill them without battling them face-to-face. With the room clear, head up the stairs. Kill the pair of drones waiting for you and proceed to another crate-filled room. The same tactic won't work here since there aren't gaps between the crates and a Ravager complicates things. An easy way of picking off the hybrids involves hiding under the second flight of stairs in the room. They can't fire through the stairs, which forces them to either sides giving you a clear shot. Once they're gone, you can concentrate on the Ravager.

Proceed up the stairs to reach a personal elevator. Again the Kraken wants to play, this time for keeps. Equip the Pulse Cannon and fire upon the Kraken when it emerges from the water and snarls at you. Since it takes time for the weapon to charge up, don't fire needlessly--wait until the Kraken opens its mouth or attempts to attack you. After you land a couple hits, it will launch a spinning tentacle attack that you must avoid. Fire at it when it's tentacle is extended. Whenever the Kraken appears at a distance, don't fire. Wait until it dives back underwater and swims toward you. It'll pop up and grab the platform, opening it's mouth in the process--at the point, fire the Pulse Cannon. All it takes is a few hits and the mission is over.

Mission 2: Orick
With the SRPA station in San Francisco overrun, Hale journeys with the Sentinels to the town of Orick in northern California. The effort to meet up with forces there is derailed by a Chimera ambush in the redwood forest that leaves a handful of soldiers to trek to the base of operations.

Gray Territory
The ambush leaves the SRPA caravan a mess, smoke from the wreckage limiting visibility. You being the mission with only a Magnum, but you'll quickly come across a dropped Carbine a few steps forward from the start. Equip it and proceed carefully through the smoke. It's difficult to gauge the exact position of hybrids, although use their Bullseye fire as a guide. It's a good idea to crouch here and move slowly. When you come to a vehicle with a Bullseye and Marksman pick up, ignore it and take out the hybrids that rushes from the right. Shooting him with the Magnum is smart, but you can just as easily click R3 for a melee attack.

After the first hybrid is down, another follows after him. Kill him with a shot from your Magnum and then swap it out for the Marksman rifle. Crouch next to the car and zoom in to see four hybrids camped out on a forward ridge. It's pretty hazy, so focus in to eliminate them with short bursts of fire from your rifle. Switch to your Carbine (or Bullseye, if you prefer) and move forward; a hybrid awaits you on the right side of a wrecked truck ahead. Keep moving forward and you'll see the surviving soldiers. Make sure to pick up the hedgehog grenade on the right side of the road as you move up. Hold onto the Carbine or Bullseye to quickly dispatch a trio of hybrids that rush you. You now should be alongside the surviving forces to clear out the remaining hybrids on the road. There's only half a dozen, which you can easily take out with a well-placed grenade. Before dropping down from the road to the little creek on the left, swap out your Carbine for a Bullseye (or stock up on ammo if you already have it).

Redwoods
Follow the winding stream. To the right of the first soldier you see is a Magnum--ignore it and continue. After the short scene, move upstream. Upon exiting the water, move forward to the first redwood to swap out your Marksman for the Rossmore shotgun to use against the Chameleons hiding in the section ahead. Equip your Bullseye for the time being, as you need to clear the air of drones. Zoom in when firing at the drones, otherwise most of your shots end up missing. The trees make it difficult to target, so keep falling back as the drones approach to avoid taking on too much damage.

Switch to the shotgun after the drones have been eliminated. Head deeper into the forest, following the forward soldier. Stay on your toes as a series of cloaked Chameleons are waiting to charge in the area. You need to quickly fire a round at the suckers as soon as they appear. The screen will shake and you ought to see a clear outline of the enemy as they stomp toward you. When you experience that, fire in that direction to kill it; if you don't fire quickly enough, you'll suffer an instant death.

Move along using the rocky ledge as a guide through the forest. Although it appears that you roam freely under the trees, you can't. If you get lost, make sure that the rocky ledge in the Chameleon area is to your left; if you're seeing it on your right, then you're heading the wrong way and need to turn around. You won't encounter any enemies for a short sprint (which is a welcome reprieve after the Chameleons), but you'll know you're going in the right direction as soon as you see a drone retreating through the canopy. Naturally, follow it. Keep you shotgun primed for Chameleons in waiting. You'll reach a clear cut section of the forest. Deceptive quiet, yes? That's because there are several Chameleons eagerly waiting for you to run through. Reload your shotgun, if necessary and move forward. The Chameleons only appear from up ahead, so just look forward and fire as they approach. There's only a few, thankfully.

Drop down into the water after trekking through the clear cut section. Not a lot of hostile forces on the outskirts of the town, yet you can shoot at spinners crawling about. Switch to your Bullseye, zoom in on them, and fire if you're wanting to earn the "Snipe Hunt" trophy. Be aware of the three drones hovering on the other side of the main building in this area. Blast them and continue forward by jumping off the bridge into the water. [INTEL #9: On the bridge next to where you need to jump into the water is a set of documents.] Only one way to go--swim until you reach land. Upon finishing your dip, head up the ravine until you see a wooden bridge with drones and hybrids milling about. Crouch and slowly inch forward. Fire on them when you're in good range. Use the rocks on the right side of the ravine for cover, if necessary. With those enemies gone, move further up the ravine into the town.

Town of Orick
As soon as you drop down into Orick, pick up the Marksman as a replacement for your Rossmore. You should see a Carbine right as you land, to the right of which is the Marksman. Use it to fire on the hybrids patrolling the roof and then quickly switch to your Bullseye to take out the charging hybrids. When the elite comes running out with his shield, throw a grenade. If timed correctly, it should stun him at which point you can fire on him until he's dead. Feel free to fire on the 20 or so cars in this area if you're aiming for the "Wrecking Machine" trophy. Move into the town and go up the wooden stair in the next section. Jump down back to street level from the blown out wall on the second story of the house. [INTEL #10: Search the living room to grab this document.] Ignore the Rossmore pick up.

Instead, equip your Bullseye to destroy a sole drone that appears. Scout out for weapons when that's done--there's a Magnum in front of you and a LAARK to the far left in the corner. Since you're about to face a Titan, get the LAARK and reserve the Magnum for when you're out of rockets. You shouldn't need to resort to the Magnum, though, as it only takes three rockets to fell the beast. If you do run out of rockets, make sure to use the secondary fire on the LAARK before switching to the Magnum.

Once the dude is down, drop the LAARK and pick up the Marksman you dropped originally. It's the best weapon for dealing with the Auger-equipped hybrid shooting at you from the right side of the town square. Take a position far back from them and zoom in to pop at him with the Marksman. A few drones fly out too, so you'll need to switch to the Bullseye or Magnum to deal with them. Defeat the hybrid in just the right way and you could get the opportunity to grab his firearm. Do it and move through the metal railway cars. There's a linear path here, so just follow it and kill some spinners along the way. A Bullseye is nested in the last car, so pick it up if you're still carrying the Marksman. You should have the Auger and Bullseye now.

A Hellfire turret situated in the next section requires some careful maneuvering to get behind it and turn it off. Avoid its beam at all costs--it will kill you very quickly! Drop down and run off the edge of the concrete walkway on which you land. Look to your right and run to the crate there. Crouch to continue moving toward the turret. Plenty of objects obstruct the turret's view of you as long as you're crouching. There's an annoying hybrid that will fire on you from the right of the turret, but ignore him until you power down the turret.

Here's where the Auger is going to come in handy. Switch to it and walk up the wooden stairs from where the hybrid rushed down. A stream of hybrids will appear that glow neon green. You can fire at them through walls with the Auger, which makes it pretty easy to clear them out of the area. Some will attempt to run up to you, so shoot them quickly and use the weapon's secondary fire shield to block their shots too. Go through the opening created by the friendly drone to proceed. Some enemies, mostly hybrids and an elite, are ahead although the drone will take care of them. You can help out with the elite, though, by using whatever remaining Auger ammo you. Hustle through the warehouse to meet up with Echo Team.

Lumber Yard
Now that you've met up with Warner, Hawthorne, and Capelli, make a push through the lumber yard to hijack a Chimera shuttle. Lots of hybrids waiting to be killed in the first section ahead, so make sure that you're loaded up with a full clip on either Carbine or Bullseye. The Bullseye works nicely here, allowing you tag hybrids and then shoot them as they take cover behind piles of lumber. Move forward with Echo Team and push through the wave of hybrids. Grenades help here, but only use them if you can nail several hybrids at once. It's a bit of a waste using them on a sole enemy.

Clear the bottom floor of the warehouse and then take the stairs up to the second floor. At the bottom of the steps is an Auger--grab it, but keep either Bullseye or Carbine (Bullseye recommended). A handful of drones fly out of the covered walkway on the second story, but let your dudes take care of them. No sense in wasting bullets. Head out of the warehouse in the open. You should see a Hellfire turret blocking the route to the shuttle. A waypoint marks where you need to go. Drop down from the deck to the ground below and head toward the waypoint. Stay on the ground, ignoring the first ramp up the crates. There's a second ramp further ahead that you should take instead. Go up that, move forward to the right, jumping over the lumber stacks.

After the second lumber stack, you'll hit a checkpoint and face a larger stack of wood. Hop over it, but don't drop down to the other side. The Hellfire turret is in front of you, as well as several hybrids. Take as many of the hybrids out as you care before jumping down. You can use the Hellfire turret's shield for protection against hybrid fire too. As soon as you turn off the turret, an elite pops out near the shuttle with a couple hybrids. Carefully engage the, using the powered down turret as a cover point. Remember that Auger you picked up? This is when you get to use it. Clear the way for your buddies by killing these last enemies and board the shuttle.
