That’s really a great point that I think gets lost on a lot of fly-by-night companies. When I went to the GAMA (Games Manufacturers Association) convention a couple of years ago, one thing that was particularly distressing is that there were at least ten new companies that were at their first GAMA. And you could tell that they wouldn’t make it to a second one. They were selling products that just didn’t speak to the hobby market or were obviously designed by people that just didn’t “get” it. But there was obviously money invested, likely venture capital, and a lot of enthusiasm…laced with doom.
Deb: The bottom line is, is your product needed and wanted? We surveyed the gaming market extensively while developing the game and it became clear that the gaming market peaks and troughs and it is usually ‘something new and innovative’ that kick starts it again and we feel WFE games fit that bill.
Next week: Part II of the interview where we get more into what War of Edadh is all about. In the meantime you can check out more about the game at the WarriorElite website. .
