Cracked LCD 9.0: WarriorElite Interview Part II
Part II of Michael's interview with WarriorElite.
Date: Thursday, February 26, 2009
Author: Michael Barnes

OK, here’s the million dollar question. Pretend for a minute that I am Julien St. Moneybags III, CEO of Big Time Games Manufacturers and Holdings, Inc. and I offer you a dump truck full of money to purchase WAR FOR EDADH, polish it up a bit, hand it off to one of our in-house developers to “tweak”, and give it a wider release. Do you take my money or stay independent and retain ownership?

Deb: Hey! Mr. Moneybags, get your mitts off our game!

Nigel: Absolutely I take the money! Ow – who hit me? Wrong thing to say?

Deb: Stay independent, for sure – We firmly believe that there is nothing to stop us from being a major player whilst retaining ownership. I think it’s too easy to take an already established game concept and build on that – the hard work has already been done and we knew that we didn’t want to hand that over to someone else. We want to maintain the integrity of the game and certainly don’t want to be going the 1st, 2nd, 3rd edition routes. It’s too much like reverse engineering. Why not get the game right and take a long time over it (which we did – 15+ years). We know that releasing new editions can be really infuriating for gamers and I think it gets forgotten that people don’t just invest money in a game – sometimes it’s heart and soul. Just a last point – there is more than enough room in the industry for big and small alike and we intend on giving the big fish a run for their money.

Lloyd: As Bruce Lee firmly and derisively said to Mr. Braithwaite when he offered him an alcoholic beverage for the second time – “ no thanks “ Or, as that cop said to Agent Smith “ you can cram it up your ass “. For myself, it’s more than a game, it’s the culmination of all our major ideas and I want to see it through to a done – there are other areas to explore still like a comic, graphic novels and so on.

Hammer of the Scots Board Game Review
Hammer of the Scots is a easy to play lightweight wargame that while a bit loose with history, is engaging enough that it really doesn't matter.
Renegade Game Chair Review
This game chair offers a decent feature set at a more reasonable price than Ultimate Game Chair's other pricier offerings.
The Suck's not on this comedy about five role-playing losers going nowhere fast...
Great CGI affects, decent acting, bad characters and sub-par writing put this film in the mediocre zone.
This DVD will surely help you remember the 5th of November..
