THQ today announced the release of Disney.Pixar's Cars for the Xbox 360. This follows the launch of this past summer's cross-platform launch for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, Windows PC and Mac. The Xbox 360 version is now available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $49.99, releasing in conjunction with the Cars holiday DVD launch on November 7th. Cars is also scheduled to release for Wii on November 13.

The Cars video game lets players drive one of the many characters from the film in the open world created in the film, challenging players to relive the excitement created by Lightning McQueen and his friends. Fans will find unique characters and environments inspired by the film with more than 10 playable characters and 30 races and minigames to choose from. With enhanced graphics, the Xbox 360 version features a fully immersive re-creation of all major environments that fans of the film have come to love, including Radiator Springs and Ornament Valley, which will offer distinctive racing experiences to players while maintaining the artistic style of the film. Cars for Xbox 360 was developed by Rainbow Studios.

A stellar cast and good action saves this movie from becoming Jackass with a plot.
This martial arts film offers some wonderful fight scenes buried underneath an awful plot.
This DVD may have a lot of star power but its paper thin plot, bad acting and terrible fight scenes make it a lesson in why some movies shouldn't be imported..
