Capcom Interactive breaks records in 2006.
Date: Thursday, March 22, 2007
Author: James Fudge

Capcom's mobile division, Capcom Interactive, says that it has been confirmed as the fastest growing mobile game publisher in 2006, having catapulted up Telephia's rankings of mobile game publishers from the 62nd position in Q1 2006 to 9th for Q4 2006. Additionally, Capcom Interactive's revenue grew by a staggering 340% in the past six months. Key to Capcom Interactive's performance was the successful launch of several mobile titles based on established Capcom brands, including Mega Man, Ghost n' Goblins and Resident Evil: The Missions. Additionally, the company's acquisition of publisher/developer Cosmic Infinity in June '06 provided the foundation of Capcom Interactive's internal development studio as well as access to several mass market consumer licenses, including ESPN Poker Club and the perennial performer Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
