THQ Taps Collins College
THQ contracts 50+ students from Phoenix college.
Date: Friday, June 01, 2007
Author: James Fudge

Collins College announced today that 52 of its alumni and current students enrolled in game design and animation degree programs have been contracted to work at THQ. THQ, which is headquartered in Agoura Hills, California, opened its Quality Assurance Department in Phoenix in January of 2007 - where most of these hires will find themselves working.

According to Michael Motoda, Quality Assurance Manager for THQ, "One reason THQ opened an office in Phoenix is because of the quality of schools that offer gaming degrees. We are extremely pleased with the quality of job candidates Collins College has provided. It has been a great opportunity for both of our organizations."

THQ's Phoenix-based Quality Assurance Department is responsible for testing several games across various gaming platforms including Disney/Pixar's Ratatouille, Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights, Drawn to Life, Worms: Open Warfare, Tetris Evolution, and NHRA: Countdown to the Championship.
