Fantasy Flight Games, the makers of Runebound and Warcraft: the Board Game, have announced today that they will be releasing Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game, based on the smash hit television series produced by Universal Media Studios and broadcast in the United States on the SCI FI Channel.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game will be a semi-cooperative game, in which players work together to solve problems confronting the fleet. The dilemmas will range from mechanical issues with the ship to political issues with the crew members, all the while keeping an eye out for Cylon attacks. Twists and turns abound, as one or more players may be a Cylon in disguise. Look for the game to be released by Fantasy Flight Games in the Fall of 2008.
