For those wondering about a Gears of War movie, put your fears into high gear as it seems it is looking for a 2010 release. Coming soon.net had a chance to talk to Wyck Godfrey about the project and he mentions that they have a director that they are ready to bring on to the project as well as a script that is in the works.

The plan is to start filming it next summer and with New Line cinema owning the rights to the Gears movie, it was only a matter of time before the Cog’s showed up on the big screen. At least it’s not a Uwe Boll movie.
