Peter Jackson once again shows he can take well-known source material and put it on the screen in a way that will satisfy almost every audience..

Even though it runs long, I don’t think anyone will be walking out on Peter Jackson’s "King Kong." While they may squirm a little and wonder if they can get a quick drink refill at the concession stand while a scene runs a bit long, audiences will be entranced with the bond that is so poignantly formed between Naomi Watts’ Ann Darrow and Andy Sirkus’ Kong to miss a moment of the film. And as the inevitable climax draws on, I defy anyone not to feel a swell of emotion for both of these characters and the loss they feel. Peter Jackson once again shows he can take well-known source material and put it on the screen in a way that will satisfy almost every audience – fans of the original source material and modern movie goers.
