Bonus Round: Manifesto Games Interview

Greg Costikyan, CEO and co-founder of Manifesto Games, was this year's recipient of the International Game Developer's Association Maverick Award for his contributions to the independent game development space and for his efforts with Manifesto Games. I'm not going to get into what Manifesto Games is all about too much in this space, but to understand Greg, it probably couldn't hurt to read The Manifesto Manifesto .

In it Greg and his colleagues talk about how the mainstream game industry has lost its way, replacing innovation and creativity for mediocrity and a hit driven mentality. But more importantly, it reveals what Manifesto Games is all about - giving developers freedom to create the games they want and serve them to an audience that wants them - all without losing the rights to the properties they create. So with that wonderfully warm and fuzzy concept in mind, I'm happy to present to you our interview with Greg below:
