(T&E is certainly a Euro game, but an excellent one.)

The Eurogame was definitely the center of attention for a number of years following the release of games like SETTLERS OF CATAN and CARCASSONNE (now, fittingly, the first Eurogames games available on Xbox live) but with the recent resurgence of interest in Ameritrash-style games it appears that the balance has tipped back in favor of games that are much more thematic, more developed in terms of narrative and atmosphere, and full of player interaction, drama, and chaotic excitement. But even those sorts of games are not for everyone or for every time and there’s a number of great Eurogames that will give you solid play with friends and family who might not be so inclined to sit down with you for a six hour game of TWILIGHT IMPERIUM.
