Continuing our trip back in time, let’s move along to Xbox Live Arcade, which released two new “old” titles: Cyberball 2072 and Fatal Fury Special. Cyberball was a fun football game from 1989’s arcade and Fatal Fury Special is one of the better SNK Neo Geo fighting games. Each game is 400 points and you should know that Fatal Fury Special is already on GameTap, so unless you’re dying for 200 GamerScore points, save your money.

The 360 has a few new demos, including the aforementioned NBA Live 08 and Flatout. If you like your races with lots of crash mayhem, this is definitely worth the download. A Solitaire add on (we’re on game pack #7 now) and a Gears Of War map pack price reduction along with a few new trailers round out the offerings for the Xbox 360 this week.

Finally, let’s move to the Wii Virtual Console. Actually, you may want to move along here unless of course you were the one person who emailed me and said “Dan, my kids love the Virtual Console but I feel the educational value is lacking. Is there any possible way you could talk to Nintendo and have them release the ‘classic’ Donkey Kong Junior Math for the NES?” Yes. Yes I can fix that for you. Fingers are crossed for the re-release Addison-Wesley Math Games VI on the Ti 99/4A. I think I have better things to spend $5 on. Normally on the Wii there are three games a week released but in order to celebrate the excitement that is Donkey Kong Math, four games were released. The other three are Adventure Island, Landstalker and Bonk 3. I tried Landstalker on GameTap and wasn’t all that excited. Bonk 3 does have some fans but I am not one of them.
