Mr. Binky’s Random Stuff: Snidely Whiplash Returns
Mr. Binky sits down again with EA’s Director of Corporate Acquisitions.

SW: Water under the bridge, my dear boy, water under the bridge, which is appropriate, given what actually took place. Ha-ha-ha! I made a funny!

GS: Ah, ok. Getting back to Take Two, is EA even remotely concerned with the delicate state of Take Two’s finances over the years?

SW: Certainly not. If there’s a problem, we can deal with it. We have a crack team of accountants, as well as roughly 2/3 of the SEC on our payroll, not to mention compromising photographs of most of Take Two’s board. We’re confident that we can work through whatever problems that may arise.

GS: Even with all of those, ah, resources, doesn’t there come a time when the price, including the price of fixing all of the problems, becomes prohibitive?

SW: My dear boy, do you know how much we made from Madden ’08 last year?

GS: Not sure, but it must be in the hundreds of millions.

SW: Quite right, and do you know how much we spent to make it?

GS: I have no idea, ten, maybe 20 million?

SW: Not one cent. Not one!

GS: Wait, but there were new features. Surely they cost something.
