Mission Twelve: A New Beginning

Time to play as Dante and let Nero have a rest. For the entire time playing as Dante, I used the sword master style and didn’t change it once. Clear the starting room of scarecrows and head for the door to the east. Follow the hallway through the meeting room and you’ll face off against some spanking new enemies with some big blades. They aren’t any harder than previous enemies, just watch out for their knives coming crashing down after you have killed them. Continue through the next door and use the purple pillar so Dante can get the Wing Talisman. Ride the lift down and you are given a countdown timer of 10 minutes to escape the building before it collapses. Hop off the bridge in the next room and use the mechanism in the corner when you land to call the lift.

Ride it up and proceed through the next room while getting the red crystal in the left corner if you choose. Continue on and you will find yourself ion the big fan room with the spinning blade that Nero had to slow down. Kill the Mephistos in here and then hop up the blades and enter through the open door. Hop over the laser in the next room and make your way across the bridge and into the grand hall to face some more angels before you reach the next door. Destroy them and head across the Gran Album Bridge once again and continue all the way to the end and another scene will play.

Mission Thirteen: The Devil Returns

Is this all starting to look familiar? It is but this time through; this level can get very confusing. Head to the right as you begin and enter the forgotten ruins then jog along the bridge and hop off half way across to the ground below. Kill the few enemies here and run into the purple fog once they are dead. Hop down the ledges and head up the stairs ahead of you. Clear out the enemies here in the ancient plaza and continue north to the Lapis River. Go under the bridge and go through the fog there and you will exit at the ruined church. Enter and go through the doorway in the far left corner and you will be back at the Lost Woods once again. Use the same trick you used last time and go down the pathway that is the opposite of where the shadow is pointing. Once you have done that about 4 times, you will be on a bridge and ready to the boss.

Hey look its Echidna again. Now that you get to fight her with Dante and you are Devil Bringer-less, it can make getting to her head and pink sack a little more difficult. Use Dante’s guns to nick off her life as she zooms around to help even up the odds a bit. When she finally lands, you will need to attack her the same way you did with Nero but will need to jump to your target instead of being able to zip your way there. Attack her head with combos the exact same way and she won’t last to long this time around either. Once the boss fight is over, you’ll get the Gilgamesh which allows you to knock some heads in a serious way. Head down the open path and the mission will come to an end.

Mission Fourteen: Forest of Ruin

This mission is pretty straight forward and simply requires you to get back to the beginning where you first entered with Nero through the waterfall. Make your journey north through the lapis river, the ancient plaza and the windswept valley. Hop up the ledges in the valley when you reach it and there you will come to the forest entrance and to the cave that will lead you back to Foris Falls. Almost each of the sections in the forest will be a sealed fight and they have a new baddie named Fault that will pop up to swallow you and send you underground. Jump when you see their blue star appear on the ground and give them a whack when they close up. Once you make it back to the falls run across the bridge and the mission will end.
