5. “All Weapons Acquired” – Earth Defense Force 2017

“Awarded after acquiring all the weapons in the game.”

This one requires you to play all 50+ stages of the game at all five difficulty levels. It also requires you to have someone to play with as there’s no way in H-E-double-hockey-sticks that you’re getting through Hardest or Inferno by your lonesome. It also requires you to play the same stage multiple times as the weapon drops are random. One more thing, you won’t know what weapons you’ve acquired until after you finish the stage so you might spend all of your time on the same stage trying for a weapon you won’t know that you didn’t get until you’re done. That little light that just went out in your eyes as you realized that you’ll never get this achievement? I live for that. (Editor's note: This one also requires that you play Earth Defense Force 17)

4. “Complete All Scenarios”- FIFA World Cup 2006

“Complete all the Challenges in Global Challenge”

By benefit of this being a soccer game, pretty much the entire population of US gamers is prevented from obtaining this achievement as very few US gamers enjoy soccer to the point where they’d attempt to complete 40 challenges. It’s not like the challenges put you on even footing either. You may find yourself down by a goal against France and you have to win or you’re playing against Chile and you have to win by five goals, or maybe you’d like to play Australia vs. Solomon Islands and win by seven goals? It’s your choice as they’re all equally sucky. At least you get 500 points for winning the achievement and the adoration of an American public who only cares about David Beckham because he married a Spice Girl. We're a sad people.

3. “7 Day Survivor” - Dead Rising

"Survive for at least 7 days.”

Everyone knows that zombies make horrible companions. No one in their right mind would want to surround themselves with zombies, so the idea of being trapped in a mall filled with zombies isn’t a good one. Add to that the fact that you have to survive for seven in-game days. Add to that a constantly depleting health bar and the only way to get food is to kill psychopaths for it. That’s 7 Day Survivor and that, my friend, is one tough achievement. Best hope you’ve got your 360 in a well ventilated place, because you’re looking at 14 hours of game time and that’s without any pausing.
