Tekken was always a title that raised the bar for fighting titles and this is no exception. Other titles that I was able to look at were Where the Wild Things Are, a movie based on the upcoming movie, which is based on the well-known children’s book, The Saboteur, and James Cameron’s Avatar, also based on an upcoming movie.

The far room housed a few other titles including Activision’s Tony Hawk’s RIDE and DJ Hero. I am not a giant fan of rhythm games – Rock Band or Guitar Hero – but the more and more I see of DJ Hero, the more I am impressed. The turntable controller is something very unique and is as they say – easy to learn, hard to master, but it’s damn fun trying nonetheless. Assassin's Creed II and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves were on display and although there are already reviews floating around the net about the latter, seeing it up close and personal brings it to a different level. The first Uncharted is easily one of my favorite PlayStation 3 games and to be able to get a sequel that improves on the first is a feat rarely accomplished.

Heavy Rain was on display and seeing a trailer on the Internet really doesn’t do this title the justice it deserves. The section I watched had the player simply strolling about his house and although that in itself may not seem too exciting, the incredible range of choices and options available to you was incredible. Choosing what you wanted out of the fridge, going outside to shoot hoops in the backyard to even – oddly enough, going the washroom. Will it be fun to play? We'll see. Still a few months away for this one.

The final title I had time to check out was LEGO Rock Band. If you’re like me, when you first heard about the game, you thought to yourself “oh boy, another Rock Band title” and rolled your eyes. After seeing it in action and the song selection that it incorporates, I can finally see where its place in the Rock Band family rests.

The block figures and sets give it that cartoonish vibe that is fit for the younger audience, as is its playlist, with songs that won’t make your mother blush--like the Ghostbusters theme. Another nice little touch is the LEGO block notes that appear on the fret board as they zoom towards you. I did have my doubts about the game and its place in a seemingly over saturated market, but LEGO Rock Band does bring something different to a different audience and looks to be a title to give younger gamers what their older counterparts have enjoyed for a while now.

All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great people and a slew of games.
