Mythos Q&A
We get the latest on this recently resurrected action-RPG/MMO.
Date: Tuesday, January 12, 2010
Author: Andrew Webster

Will you be doing another beta with the new version of the game? You seem to be attempting to be very transparent with the development process by featuring developer diaries and a strong presence on social networks. Why was this important?

Yes! We are planning several closed betas sometime in the first half of 2010, although we don’t have a set date yet. We keep our development process open because we want to establish a strong relationship with long-time fans who have been around since the original beta. By keeping in touch over social networks and the Mythos website, we are providing those fans with a window into the process and being clear about what we expect the game to be like when it is finally launched. We really want the players to feel like they are a part of the development process. That's one of the only ways to improve on an already excellent backbone.

Have you decided on a pricing structure for the game yet?

Nothing has been officially announced yet since we are still deciding on the details but yes, microtransactions will be a large part of the pricing structure. It’s what Redbana does best and we’re extremely capable of managing this specific type of game. We will definitely flood the game with a plethora of exciting virtual items to keep fans entertained for a very long time to come!

We'd like to extend a thanks to Eric for taking the time to speak with us. You can learn more about Mythos at the official website .
