Midway Games and Design Studio Press announce the release of The Art of Midway: Before Pixels and Polygons. The book is available now online and at select bookstores at a list price of $24.95.

The book features 200 concept and environment illustrations which fill 160 pages from top designers and artists who have worked on Midway's top-selling and award-winning franchises. Such art includes content from Midway's signature title Mortal Kombat the futuristic combat game Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, the action horror game, The SufferingT and Midway's most recent blockbuster title Stranglehold.

The Art of Midway boasts unpublished works from Visual Game Director Stephan Martinière, Vince Proce, Ben Olson, Bruno Werneck, and other Midway artists. This collaborative piece showcases the visual and narrative marvels behind Midway's game development.
