GameShark Game of the Week
Special Game Developers Conference 2007 Edition!
Date: Friday, March 09, 2007

Since we spent a good portion of this week showing you screenshots, serving up previews and delivering news from the Game Developers Conference 2007 in San Francisco, California, it seems only proper and good to pick a game that wowed the crowds at this annual event. So it is only appropriate that we give our top weekly honor to the belle of the ball, Mass Effect. This beautiful, engaging and deeply narrative driven action role-playing game seems bullet proof...

This is yet another game from BioWare, so we assume that it will be great when it is released later this year, but Mass Effect is special for a number of reasons. If you look beyond the beautiful high definition veneer you can see what the most fundamental reason is BioWare’s approach to creating this new intellectual property; from the start this game was designed to take advantage of all the greatest features from past games like Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights and a number of other BioWare hit titles. There’s no denying BioWare’s dedication to its craft, which shines through in Mass Effect, which we believe will be the beginning of a grand and wonderful series of games set in this new game universe.

For looking great and for providing us with a glimpse at what could be the game of the year for 2007, GameShark is proud to name Mass Effect our Game of the Week!
