Baten Kaitos Origins Released
Nintendo's RPG prequel hits the GameCube this week.

This week Nintendo shipped Baten Kaitos Origins, a prequel Nintendo Gamecube role-playing game set in the popular RPG universe. In this prequel RPG the emperor has been assassinated, legendary monsters threaten every city, and the world lies on the edge of ruin. Only a young spiriter named Sagi and his two brave companions can stop a terrifying new evil from consuming everything they hold dear.

The game promises over 60 hours of game play spanning cities, dungeons, dangerous wilderness of the island kingdoms, and a cast of hundreds. Baten Kaitos Origins also mixes real-time combat with a card-based combat system. using over 600 Magnus cards. Look for the game in stores this week.
