SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab heads to retail for multiple platforms today.

THQ today announced that SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab has begun shipping to retail outlets nationwide. The title is now available for major gaming systems including PlayStation 2, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. The game will also be available as a launch title for Wii.

Playing as SpongeBob, Patrick and Plankton as they experience Bikini Bottom through nine unusual worlds. These areas come alive through dreams or nightmares, creating a challenging new mystery to solve. Fans can play five brand new gameplay mechanics including rampaging, flying, skydiving, chasing and hot rod racing. In the Wii version, every world and level utilizes the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Look for the game in stores this week.
