Atari announced today that it has been named a finalist in the PRWeek Awards 2007 program for excellence in the public relations field in the Arts, Entertainment & Media category. The competition is the industry’s highest accolade, given annually to the best corporate, non-profit, and agency teams, as well as for the campaigns they produce. Atari was nominated for its campaign supporting the critically-acclaimed Test Drive Unlimited game, developed for the Xbox 360. Test Drive Unlimited (TDU) for the Xbox 360 was the company’s first entry into the next-generation console market. PRWeek received nearly 700 entries in 32 categories for work done during the last year. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony to be held at Tavern on the Green in New York City, on March 8.
