The Leipziger Messe has named this year's winners of Best of GC, the fifth time the distinction has been awarded. The awards were made to nine products at a press conference. A total of 85 hardware and software titles in ten categories were submitted by exhibitors at the GC - Games Convention.

In the PC category Crysis (Electronic Arts) was selected, in the Xbox category BioShock (Take 2 Interactive) was selected, in the PSP category God of War: Chains of Olympus (Sony Computer Entertainment) was selected, In the PS2 category Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Konami Digital Entertainment) was selected, in the PS3 category Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Konami Digital Entertainment) was selected, In the Wii category Mario & Sonic Olympics (SEGA Germany) was selected, in the DS category Eye Training (Nintendo) was selected, in the Online category Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (Eidos) was selected, and in the Best Hardware Accessory Product category the Wii Balance Board (Nintendo) was selected.

Volume One of this series of books does a grand job of introducing gaming to the masses, but offers a lot of familar information for gamers already in the know.
While Pac-Man's kart racing game is fun to play, it's not quite as challenging as other games in the genre.
Monkeys in balls should be strictly in puzzle games, not adventure games.
Monster House is a short but fun action game for the kids that adults will not enjoy playing..
