Square Enix Comment on FFXIII Release Date
Don't believe the hype.
Date: Thursday, January 31, 2008
Author: Jeff 'Judasen' McAllister

It seems Square Enix has gotten a little annoyed with all of the rumored release dates floating around for the next addition in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XIII. They have gone ahead and issued a press release letting people know that there has been no release date confirmed yet and any date that is given by anyone other than them is false. Here’s the full message:

Although information regarding the release date of FINAL FANTASY XIII has been reported by certain videogame websites, Square Enix itself has yet to make an official statement on this topic. Any reports of a confirmed release date are erroneous and should be disregarded.

Square Enix will make an official announcement in the future concerning the release date when it has been determined.
