2K Games has released its classic high seas piracy game Sid Meier’s Pirates!, on the App Store for iPad for $6.99. Those who buy the game now can get it for the special price of $3.99 through July 25. The app allows would-be buccaneers to serve as captain as they raid and plunder the 17th Century Caribbean.

The game offers iPad 2-exclusive features, including visuals that are optimized for the iPad, the ability to “piratize” photos to display on ships, and Game Center support.

The Sid Meier’s Pirates! App is available now at the App Store on iPad or at itunes .

2K Games is also offering the Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution App for iPad is on sale for $6.99 until July 25, 2011. Find that game here .
