As with every Grand Theft Auto game, completing all of the story missions is just one small part towards considering the game completely finished. Here at GameShark.com we hate to see people not realizing their full potential, so grab a car and ride with us as we travel the road to 100%.

For this guide, we'll talk about all of the things you'll need to find and do to get that elusive 100% complete rating. Where applicable, we'll also provide tips, but just like in life, some things can only be completed by hard work and endless repetition. No one said life would be easy and the life of a gun toting, drug dealing, camera destroying street thug is even harder.

One thing that can help move things along is to take advantage of the ability to save favorites to your PDA. For example, if you're tooling along in a mission, and you see a security camera or a ramp that leads to a unique stunt jump, but you can't take the time to take advantage, open your PDA, set a waypoint for where you are, then open the Favorites section of your PDA and choose to add the waypoint to your favorites. This is particularly helpful during some of the random character missions where a character's second mission starts where they were dropped off for their first mission. This is also helpful for remembering where to pick up the various odd job vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks.

Before we get started, there are a few settings you can enable in the game to make your life easier. These setting can be found in the System - Settings section of your PDA:

1. Top Screen GPS - this places the current GPS route as an overlay on the top screen, which lets you keep your eyes on the top screen to know where you're going.

2. Top Screen Radar - with this enabled, points of interest icons will appear on your top screen as you navigate through the city. Again, this keeps your eyes on the top screen.

3. Top Screen Health - this one puts your health and armor bars on the top screen, again making it so that you can keep your eyes on the road at all times. Sure your display is a little cluttered, but it's better than looking down while driving and accidentally bumping into a cop.

Story Missions

Through Huang's trusty PDA, story missions will come automatically to you as you progress through the game. Any time you receive a red email it means that you have a new story mission. You can do the story mission in any order you choose, however in some cases, additional missions won't be unlocked until you clear the current set of missions off of your plate. If you've been a good little gangster and all of your missions are done, but no new ones are forthcoming, just be patient and maybe spend some time doing other activities towards 100% and eventually you'll get an email. To start a story mission, head to the big, yellow letter on your map and walk or drive into the yellow circle and the mission will start.

If you fail a mission you'll have the option of restarting it automatically, and, if applicable, skipping the drive from where you get the mission to where you need to go to start the mission proper. These options are great if you failed the mission because you died, or didn't meet the criteria for passing, but not so much for getting busted. If you're busted, you lose all of your weapons and any drugs you might be carrying. The loss of weapons may make completing the missions difficult but hey, how you want to restart the missions is up to you.
