There are many frustrating moments in gaming and to say that these ten are the “top ten” for everybody would be foolish on my part. These are the top ten that have irked me over the past few years and they are in no particular order. The reason for that is that they all suck. Yep—each and every one of them. One doesn’t rate worse than the other because they are all horrible to have to deal with and as such they are all number one on my list. So, think of it more like “my personal top ten in no particular order.” Your moments will undoubtedly be different but hopefully you can relate.

Have a read and please be forewarned, there may be some spoilers involved. If you see a game title that you want to play, skip it and move onto the next one.

10. God of War – Hell is No Laughing Matter (PS2)

There weren’t too many difficult things about God of War considering the massive amounts of ass that Kratos kicked throughout the game. However, once in a while he would run into a platform puzzle that would take a little extra effort and ingenuity to get through.

One such task was a major pain and a true thorn in the game’s side. When you have finally made your way through Hades and you are ready to start your journey back to the surface world there are a few obstacles in your way, namely pillars that have spinning blades on them…and you have to climb it. Seemingly impossible to accomplish the first 50 times you try it and more often than not, you’ll end up completing it with blind luck. There’s something to be said when even the game developer apologizes for adding such a pain in the ass to a game.

9. Jericho – With Friends Like These…. (Xbox 360, PC, PS3)

When you are playing a squad based game, it would make sense that things are going to be easier and not more difficult, I mean your team is there to help right? Having friends you can call on to help you out, each with their own talents and abilities sounds like a sure fire winner. Wrong. Such is not the case with Clive Barker’s Jericho and the dumb as bricks mentality the characters possess.

Throughout the game, you will have three other teammates with you and they will spend more time on the ground than they will actually helping you kill sand monsters. There really isn’t a way to make this less blunt—your teammates suck and they die as often as they possibly can. Not only is it mind bogglingly frustrating to have to revive them every two seconds, more often than not, you will be killed while doing so.
