Game Developers Conference coming to France.
Date: Tuesday, July 24, 2007
Author: James Fudge

CMP Technology announced today that the Game Developers Conference has partnered with Connection Events, a multi-faceted business matchmaking company known for the Game Connection convention, to produce the Lyon Game Developers Conference (GDC). The inaugural event, featuring content programmed by an advisory board consisting of both local and international developers who share a commitment to promote and support the game industry, is set to take place December 3-5 in Lyon, France.

Lyon GDC will feature 60 classes over a two day period, as well as one day of master classes and tutorials that will overlap with Game Connection business meetings. The conference's main objectives are to provide a global picture of game development today, where attendees will share core technical expertise, and to learn from experiences at the cutting edge of European and global game development. Sessions will drill down into the six core disciplines of GDC (programming, visual arts, game design, audio, production, and business and management), and explore the broadening creative and business options for developers across multiple platforms and distribution channels. By featuring Lyon GDC and Game Connection in one place, attendees will access enhanced networking by interacting with both GDC speakers and Game Connection dealmakers within tailored social events.

More information, including the conference session and speaker lineup, official event schedule, and registration rates and deadlines, will be available soon at www.lyongdc.com .
