Mad Catz Announces TRITTON SwitchBlade Wireless Headset For PlayStation 3

San Diego – January 12, 2012 – Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz”) (AMEX/TSX: MCZ) announced today the SwitchBlade Wireless Headset, expected to ship worldwide in spring 2012. Featuring Bluetooth technology, the new headset is for use with the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system from Sony and will be released under the Company’s TRITTON professional gaming audio brand.

Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. stated, “The SwitchBlade headset represents the first in a series of PlayStation 3 headsets which we expect to ship throughout 2012.”

The SwitchBlade Wireless Headset comes complete with rechargeable batteries and docking station and is able to pair with two devices simultaneously, allowing gamers to connect with the PlayStation 3 in addition to a mobile phone. In addition, the unique dynamically folding boom mic allows gamers to switch the device on or off simply by flicking the mic.
