Moving along to the Nintendo Wii, three new games have been released – ActRaiser for the SNES, Kid Chameleon for the Genesis and JJ & Jeff for the TG16. I picked up ActRaiser and JJ & Jeff. I had heard about how great ActRaiser is but as an early SNES title it really didn’t do anything for me. JJ & Jeff is your standard platformer: it has guys with big heads who jump around as well as birds that poop. Yes, that’s right – you have to dodge pooping birds as poop can kill you. Six bucks has never bought so much fun. Again, you’d think with a name like JJ & Jeff you could have a two player game but this is the TG16 console we’re talking about with a “run” button instead of a “start” button, so they only allow one player. But still, pooping birds! Six bucks! Buy it!

PlayStation Store

Over at the PlayStation store, let’s just hope they are devoting all their time to the WarHawk and Home betas and just putting something out on the PS Store so they can say they are adding content weekly; because the gaming content we are getting is not very exciting at all. This week Midway’s Championship Sprint hits the store for $4.99. The game was fun for its time; honestly I remember playing the hell out of this on the Commodore 64, which gives you an idea of how old this game is. It’s not bad, but it’s certainly not an “Oh wow I must buy this game” type of game. I think I’ll pass.

It’s been a great week for GameTap subscribers (as well as non-subscribers who can get a taste of the service) and not too shabby for Live Arcade fans. Aside from bird poop, the Wii and the PS3 weren’t any great shakes but don’t fret…new games are only a week away!
