Konami Digital Entertainment today announced that Rengoku 2 has shipped to retail outlets throughout North America for the PSP. Rengoku 2, sequel to the popular Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory, expands upon the series' fast-paced action and replay value with more than 300 unique weapons, loads of downloadable content, diverse level design and innovative multiplayer functionality.

Playing as A.D.A.M., a battle android trapped in a mysterious tower filled with enemies, gamers must purge the tower of the mechanical scourge hosted inside, complete with floors that correspond to original Seven Deadly Sins.

To successfully demolish this tower, players utilize the game's arsenal of firearms, explosives and melee weapons to defeat the horde of enemies that oppose them. Players can customize A.D.A.M. with rare and unique items and weapons from fallen enemies.

Rengoku 2 also allows up to four players to engage in combat through the PSP's ad-hoc wireless functionality. Players can also wirelessly share portions of the game with other PSP systems in order to play with friends that do not own the game. Maps and weapons are available for download through the PSP system's infrastructure mode, letting players continue A.D.A.M.'s quest in new environments with additional equipment.

Developed by Hudson Soft, Rengoku 2 is rated "T" for teen by the ESRB, and carries a suggested retail price of $39.99. For more information, check out www.konami.com .
