Microsoft reveals that backwards compatibility efforts to end in late 2007.

According to a live blog report on Gizmodo , Microsoft plans to curtail efforts on backwards compatibility on the Xbox 360 by the end of 2007. During a morning breakfast session with Microsoft during GDC this week, Microsoft's Chris Satchell said that backwards compatibility will become less important as more Xbox 360 titles are released. Consumers, still waiting for their favorite Xbox games to be playable on the Xbox 360, probably disagree.
