Midway today announced the beginning of the Audience Award voting phase for the True to John Woo Short Film Contest. The Audience Award voting phase began at 12:00am on July 16th and will continue until 11:59pm on July 30th. The Audience Award winner will be selected by MySpace users from a group of ten deserving short films found on the Stranglehold MySpace profile ( www.myspace.com/strangleholdgame ). Visitors may vote once a day, every day until the end of the voting period. Stranglehold is currently scheduled for release on August 20, 2007. The short film with the most votes will win the following prize package:

  • $1000.00
  • A gaming PC featuring AMD and ATI components
  • A copy of the Stranglehold video game for a platform of the winner's choice
  • A framed Hard Boiled poster signed by John Woo
