Eidos Interactive has officially announced today that a follow up to their 2006 hit game Just Cause is in the works. The sequel to the first game will once again star Rico Rodriguez as he finds himself in some exciting and unique situations across the massive landscapes of Panau. Continuing the trend of the first game, Rico will be using his trusty parachute and newly revamped grappling hook to pull off some wild maneuvers and intense action set in all new environments. A slew of new vehicles will allow for some insane stunts on land, sea and air, all within a vast 1000 sq km game world allowing you full freedom to free roam and experience the world of the South East Asian islands however you choose to.

Look for Just Cause 2 sometime in 2008 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
