All ten weapons will be free with the Collectors Ed.

As was earlier reported , the Battlefield: Bad Company beta had 10 weapons in it that when were selected, gave a little note saying that the weapon was “available for purchase through Xbox LIVE Marketplace”. Well that didn’t sit to well with gamers and they wanted to know if EA was going to nickel and dime us to death with weapon microtransactions.

The MTV gamer blog, Multiplayer , received a reply from EA which basically stated that 5 of the 10 weapons would be available through the gold edition of the game (a special Collectors Edition) and could also be purchased separately through LIVE Marketplace. The other 5 weapons would be pre-order exclusives that gamers received for pre-ordering the game, but would readily be available to all players at the games launch. Not much incentive to pre-order there.
